Great stuff 😅😅😊😊
Glad you enjoyed it
My GD used to cook whole catfish and he didn't put slits in them. They never came out overcook or mushy. He just knew what he was doing.
Had some tonight that my darling fisherman partner caught. They were downright DELICIOUS!! ❤
Glad you had a great meal!
I once had a catfish sandwich in Georgia and it was the best sandwich ever.
Yes they are great!!!
If you can find it and are looking for a great andouille without heat, get Veron Andouille. My Cajun mother doesn't have a high pepper tolerance for food and loves Veron.
Appreciate it I have no idea how to cook fish
Thanks for watching!
Id like to not have to mess with fileting anything but my toddler cant pick through bones lol.
Go red this man knew his stuff
I learned the water bottle trick a few years ago. It works like a champ!
The first time I held a barlow knife, my grandma was showing me how to clean bream from the creek. That was a long time ago. As I remember she taught me to scale, cut the gill and notch the anus and pull the insides out in one piece and rinse them in the wash pan. Slitting it up to the gill wasn't in the picture. I'm not sure why. Maybe it was because they were so small ...
Thanks for sharing!!
I absolutely hate catfish, but I have to admit, Shotgun Red made it look delicious!
LOL!!!!! We miss you Sir!!!!!!!!
You could vary this recipe & make a Tuna & Noodle bake too...just substitute Hamburger w/ 2 cans of tuna in oil ( undrained). And 1 can Cream of mushroom & 1 can Cream of Chicken or Cream of Celery & 1 - 1/4 cup of milk or half & half heated in skillet w/ S& P, garlic powder & scallions chopped, & shot of worstershire sauce mixed well & pour over your boiled & drained Egg Noodles in a 9 x 13" baking pan mixing well. Lightly Top with finely crushed potatoe chips or ritz crackers & bake @ 350° for 45-50 minutes. 🤗❤️
Thanks for sharing!!

Born and raised in North Carolina, spent a lot of time in South Carolina growing up, we never cooked catfish any way other than whole. If they were too big to cook whole, we threw them back. I live in Western Kentucky now, and still eat "fiddlers" as they are called here.
👍😊

Oh man, when Steve said he hasn’t figured out what you can do with the bologna casing the first thing that came to my mind with something to do with fishing and sure enough he said troll for catfish. Lol!
Just wondering if in this video you had taken the skin off the catfish or do you leave it on? Thank you for your response.
Take it off
We north of the Mason Dixon line fillet our catfish
Been doing this for years on account of my Asian wife and never really got the point (we do it for snapper and larger fish.). I finally understand. I always thought it was to make it easier to tear off a piece bcuz where’s she’s from they just put one big plate of each thing in the middle of the table and everyone grabs what they want as they go and move it to the personal plate with the rice on it
The high on all of them is 200. The documentation on all of them says 200.
I miss this guy
February…. Feb step 1 flour, step 2 egg, step 3 breading I use panko for mine but panko is the best anyways HTH 😊
I fully endorse this message
This looks good but I think I'd cut my hot dogs up and put all over then spread the cornbread over the whole top!
RIP dude
Shocker; We do it just like that in south Alabama.
So miss him,
Been cooking full catfish in georgia my whole life.
Serve beans on the side for anyone who wants them. That’s the traditional way.
No.... we don't.
I'm trying this first thing tomorrow morning
So sorry 😢
Omg he’s gone?
Thank you for this recipe I made it today and absolutely love it 🥰
Love it! Sharp
I'm a filet man myself. I haven't had a fish cooked with the bones on it in years.....Guess that's what I'm doing this weekend
