Please keep making Shadow Empire content. It's brilliant and you're more or less the reason I'm finally abl to play this game 👍🏼🙏🏼🦾💥🧑🏼🔬🧾🫰🏼🪖🎖️
under population in upper left at the bottom of the tool tip you will see +10%
Very cool 0:07
I was looking for a good breakdown of how to start a new map/mission. Thanks for this.
Excellent!!! Also, you're one of two reasons I'm finally able to play this game 😁🙏🏼
Have you surrendered?
Excellent !
It really is a superb game
been playing for 240+hrs and just realised this exists
I know it's pointless for me to say 7 years later, but my God, zoom out! Why would you want to constantly scroll the screen like that?
great tutorial. Will help me get into the game.
THANK YOU FOR TEHSE TUTORIAL IAM NEW IN TEHSE CHANEL
Zeitgeist translates literally to spirit of the times, and describes its meaning perfectly.
Cool looking game! Added to my must buy list! Question: are there semi-realistic scenarios covering WWII with accurate maps of the world or theaters? Thanks for the let's play of this game!
I keep hearing this as playing as the HYMEN lol
you explained this game so well, i decided not to buy it thanks to you, i would have returned it. i'm sure it's a fine game though.
If you set design to 100% but aren't designing any model, all BP will automatically go into discovery with no waste. I tend to have it set to 100% design so that I can design super quick and when done deaignig all points go to discovery
Thank you. This cleared things up a lot. I was feeling lost.
where railroad?
Very well done video explaining what and how MAPI is, but could use more explaining on how to handle it. Some of the techs that give it a boost are many years out, so in the early game I find myself struggling to keep factories at full hire because my local prices are always so high. But if i increase production to up local prices it just drops the market price so low that other factories lose the demand impact and wages drop and i get workers leaving those places. Seems like there should be a better way to increase market access, like railroads, to better balance it out, but they dont seem to do that.
Ugh - next video in this series is private. Lol. Was hoping to see how to extend range into the next sector.. :)
Been watching 3 clips and 10+ reddit posts on MAPI. This is the most clear and concise explanation. Thank you!
It seems weird for a niefel jarl to use a fire sword. The heat and cold auras should cancel out not give both effects....
This was great! Looking forward to seeing your impressions of Dom 6.
Nice tutorial, thanks.
One last stab at one of the more niece, most complicated games eh? Let's see. Setup: Longest section and still short, so much discuss. God a Rainbow (God with a lot of the magic path) that will come later. Nice thinking about bless, ideas for what he can do when not researching: Send him arround to search sites in safe regions, if there is a magic site he'll probably find it or use the path to forge artifacts. Useful god, decent bless (Moral - ah doesn't hurt either), no scales good (ah the costs) or bad (yay better bless, nay inevitable bad events) Ok... before going to long a few pointers: Greyga have blood for sabbath and astral for communions that give them higher path by working (might be useful later) Skrati have more than one form, give them weapons and they can be quite deadly (might be useful after reaching some gear) The natural blood path make the Niefeljars a natural blood nation; lvl7 has vampire lords; lvl6 a special for you (illwinter), just for one possible lategame if you ever get there ;) For something a bit earlier, your Niefel Jarls are quite great combatants, yet have a bad base armor. Replace that and in cold many troops can't even hurt them due to the protection. Could use a weapon with area like the firebrand you found (or frostbrand), could use a turn to self-buff. Spells to buff? Alteration & Water: Quicken self (lvl2), Mossbody (lvl3, with 1 nature path, something for the skrati), liquid body (lvl4) - quite a few more possible spells, though you can overdo buffing too, try 1-2 to start as you want your best combatants to fight and not just buff.
A skratti with decent armor that cast liquid body and mosbody and then changes into werewolf form is very hard to kill for normal troops. You should always script the skratti to change into werewolf form before he go into melee as the werewolf form is stronger, have more hp, have a bite attack and most importantly have regeneration. Just be aware that the only way to change the skratti back to his base form is by changing him into a wolf first and that makes him lose any items the wolf form can't ware. If you are not at a lab location those items are permanently lost (if there is a lab they go into your item storage), so make sure to temporary hand them to another commander before changing him back to his base form. If you don't have any good spells to cast, it you can chose keep a skratti in werewolf form at all time (his spellcasting is reduced in werewolf form).
Thanks for the primer until dom 6. I'm a novice player so learnt alot watching
Ещё важно. Порт в провинции плюс 5. Жд ьакже плюс 5. Даже если они первого уровня
I've just bought this game, launched it and was totally confused by the amount of information that I don't understand. Thankfully I found this series. Now I'm gonna watch your videos to learn at least the basics. It is so good that you explain many things. Thanks again for your videos!
HOnestly, i don't understand implementing something like this, without giving us almost nothing to handle it. No railroad impact on MAPI is stupid and unrealistic. The MAPI made some countries run extremely hard, if not impossible (Argentina is the best example i have in mind)
This guide was so helpful, thank you! Hope you can make more, your better than the other victoria 3 guides im youtube.
Very well presented, easily the most comprehensive tutorial on this topic I've seen yet. Thank you very much and hopefully we get to see more content like this Possibly one of these next? Radicals/Loyalists Standard of Living Government Legitimacy Leader/Character Popularity
Thanks for the video, been struggling with trying to understand all the information for the odds to win. hopefully now I can figure out why 200 light tanks and 25000 infantry struggle to take out a minor city filled with 1000 freefolk militia.
best guide I've seen. slow and easy to understand. more!
WOW more please!!!!
Paradox should have hired you to do the update 1.5 vids.
Great Job! Best explanation of MAPI and a VERY good explanation compared to any other Victoria 3 mechanics explanations. Please consider doing more videos like this. AWESOME!
How the hell trains have no effect on MAPI ?!
Good question. If a river provides +5% MAPI in some states, then surely railway access could contribute similar?
Really glad people are playing the countries who are not great powers. My main gripe with sweden though is a deep rooted problem with Vic3. If you have the population and economy to support large amounts of construction, you can keep yourself afloat. Sweden on the other hand lacks both, and your economy will stagnate before long, you simply cant keep up. Doesn´t help either that construction is ridiculously slow.
if you are having that problem I would just look through the workshop for mods to increase population growth. Seriously the population growth in this game is super low compared to what it is historically and only picks up near the end of the game where it is too late to be useful. In order to fix this problem I think paradox should really rework how population growth works in the early game to make it go at a reasonable rate. Additionally they should also change how migration works. I get to a point sometimes where I have all my industry in one state and there is like 3 million empty jobs with everyone employed while other states have like 20 million unemployed people. They should make it so unemployed people in empty states migrate more to industrial states and dramatically increase the rates with certain laws and railroads (like a million people per year with railroads). For stuff you can do right now to mitigate that without mods or waiting is a few things. Decrease mortality rates by passing labor laws, social security, and healthcare laws (public healthcare is usually the best). You can increase birthrate by increasing quality of life which is most easily done by researching better farming technology and making more clothing, furniture, and groceries (lowering the price of these 3 things and grain as much as possible will have the biggest impact on quality of life). Lastly the most impactful but most random one would be migration waves from Asia. You need to get the law Multiculturalism and have very populated states in your market (like parts of China and Japan). Then you want to make sure those states they are to migrate from are absolutely miserable lowering their quality of life as much as possible and the place where you want them to go raising their quality of life as much as possible. If you complete all these requirements the places with low quality of life might emigrate in mass to your states. Alternatively you could just conquer parts of China and Asia and incorporate them into your empire and then basically move your production base there. It would actually probably be the easiest thing to do.
This is the best video I saw about MAPI. Direct to the point. Your voice and tone are very good for these tutorial videos. Please do.more of them. I hope that your channel become bigger and that you gain access to Paradox market, they are very enthusiastic in using youtubers in their official tutorials. You would be perfect for this role
great video, after watching this i totally reworked my economy into a prosperous utopia, and then the communists wrecked it
Traditionalism become even more worse now
Traditionalism is meant to be bad. Agrarianism is the "conservative" but up with times option, traditionalism is just outdated economy and the only ones who still want it are nobles that profit strongly from crown's benefits and rural land. I still would like to have a socialist version of agrarianism (narodniks etc. ya know) and traditionalism being converted in something you can get rid of with a westernisation mechanic like in vic2 but more developed
The laws are all boring linear upgrades from one another. Every country plays the same way and rushes the same laws because some are just better. It's disappointing this is even more so now.
I agree that it's streamlined but they did good at giving effects when you enact certain laws and should do this for all laws, give debuffs to most laws and give more choices with nation specific laws as well. For example China could have the examination system as an alternative to appointed, hereditary and elected bureucrats, with strong buffs but even strong debuffs to give the player an incentive to make him think about what he really wants, China could also have Sun Yat Sen's type republic with 5 divided powers instead of 3 and different effects from parliamentary republics, also directorial republics like switzerland are missing and georgism wich was influent between intellectuals at the time is missing as well, so they have a lot of laws to put in and to weaken the meta laws.
PDX really dropped the ball on MAPI. I don't see how railways wouldn't have an impact on local price modifiers. Being over the required infrastructure level should also increase MAPI. Automobiles should also be improving MAPI. They need to design a system where it checks infrastructure development from point A -> B to create a rough simulation of goods being transported. That's what should be affecting MAPI, not zeppelins or the stock exchange. Otherwise, almost all of the other changes with this patch have been really good.
hear hear!
Yes it's not fleshed out and dissatisfying.
Interesting. Doesn't railway indirectly effect it by increasing infrastructure?
@chocolaterain5097 Sadly, no. Infrastructure affects general market access. So if you have 90% market access from negative infrastructure in a state and a MAPI of 85%, that good is ~76.5% available from your market.
@@I_Am_Empyrean Ohhhhh jeez. I'm always learning something in these games that's why I love it. Lol thx
Some big rivers give +5% MAPI modifier
Your videos remind me of gamerpoets
Very Nicely Made Video! and Thx for the Help!
Chapter 44 is missing from the list
I love your series. You have a good speaking voice and a peaceful style with careful attention on the many aspects of this rich and deep game. I think this is good for a new player to watch and learn the game.
Question . What are convoys good for?
More tech is almost never the wrong choice.
