  I usually just keep the map open on my gps so I can get a rough layout on what to expect even if I'm not using the gps function itself.

  The depending on how sharp the curve is, let go of the throttle then half way into the curve; press the throttle to power out of the curve

  Here in Kansas, most of the highway close by me is 1 or 2 lanes, sometimes going to 3 lanes. In cases where it's 2 lanes, lane 1 is the "fast" lane or where you go to overtake other vehicles and lane 2 is the slow lane or where you go if you're not passing anyone.
