I was born in the mid 70s, so I was in Kindergarten - 8th grade during the 80s. I want to hop into a time machine, go back to the 80s, and stay there forever. We had far less technology but had way more fun.

18:05 Mark! 18K Views + Mine! 😎 1.6K Thumbs Up + Mine! 👍 You're welcome, and thanks! 😊 Notes: My surviving brother and I were what they call "military brats" rather than just "army brats" because our father was in the Army when I was born, but in the Air Force when my brother was born two years later. As I recall, my brother and I were the only school students with picture identification cards until our peers got old enough to qualify for drivers licenses! 😊 When, Dad, was based in Hawaii, where my brother was born in the famous pink hospital, we lived on Hickam! I thought that you had reason to doubt the acreage numbers since he got "Fort Worth" wrong! 😅

It's funny how you treat a lot of your videos as "background noise". You kinda watch what is on the screen. And talk throughout the whole thing. You really don't listen to what the guys are saying. Which is too bad. Because their conversations are really entertaining. You might as well just mute the video. You are going to talk over it anyway. 😂

The refrigerators with water/ice dispensers are great, but you have to replace the filter every 6-8 months or after a certain number of gallons use and they are expensive...anywhere from $40-$60 USD. I spend too much money at Lowes & Home Depot...just walk down the wrong aisle and you see all this stuff you did not know you needed...wanted.

The liberal city council decided to defund the police. Crime is on the rise and homeless live under most of the highway overpasses now. So sad, we moved to Austin in 1994 and it used to be so clean, safe and beautiful.😢

Hey family, I like your reactions. I would like to recommend a reaction for you. My first ship was The USS New Jersey BB-62. I was on board from June 1983 to August 07, 1987. The Video Is: Naval legends, USS New Jersey, world of war ships. If you hear a russian speaker, you found he correct one. Admiral Bill (Bull) Halsey used the ship as his flag ship in ww-2. I Shot (pulled) the Trigger on this ship when it was my turn. 7 minute mark is the forward plotting room where I worked & fired the 16 inch 407 milometers bullets. Fair seas & warm weather to all of you Folks, (former) Firecontrolman second Class (Old CC-2) Mac.

the looping roads that you see are called Mix Masters (or spaghetti). For the most part, all highway exits are on the right so when in doubt, stay to the right. However, there are exceptions. Your phone's GPS should see you through :) There is one mix master in particular (called the High Five) that always gives me butterflies. The highest lane is as tall as a 12 story building. Found at the junction of interstate 635 and US highway 75

Grizzly bears are a subspecies of brown bear. Basically all the coastal states that aren't on the west coast have alligators unless they're too far north. The west coast's water is too cold for alligators. Wolves are never going to make biggest predator lists because any state wild enough to have wolves will have bears. Black bears are much shyer when confronted than grizzlies (which are a subspecies of brown bears) so there haven't been as much effort to wipe them out. When I was in Louisiana we stopped at a restaurant where you could buy treats to feed their alligators. You could also order alligators off the menu. I've not actually seen alligators in Texas, but I know they're there. I have seen a couple of mountain lions, in spite of them being extremely shy. One in Texas, one in Oklahoma. Mostly the part of Texas I lived in was chock full of coyotes. We lost several cats to them. Also in South Texas I once saw an ocelot, but that was way back in the early 1970s.

This was such a throwback for me. I remember all of these. Plus a lot more because I grew up in Hawaii, so we had Hello Kitty erasers that smelled, and pencils that drew darker than regular ones. Great times.
