    If only they would stop worrying about it and just observe (like scientists are supposed to do) then we could all learn so much more. So you learn God is real... So? Yoo can cintinue to learn of His creation. He doesn't forbid that. In fact, He says in His word that it is one way to know He is creator.

    My brothers, my sisters, of EVERY nation/race, let us know, without a doubt, that we have yielded our ALL to THE TRUE and LIVING LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, refusing to give in to this increasingly wicked and evil world system, even if it should cost us our life! Remember at ALL times, and in ALL places, Christ JESUS of Nazareth is our LIFE! We are fast approaching that day when ALL of your money and things will be as nothing! Is Christ JESUS of Nazareth our EVRYTHING? MEN! AMEN! AMEN!

    So carbon dating is reliable and accurate when it confirms your book. But its unreliable and inaccurate when it refutes your book.

    Carbon 14 dating has been shown to be wildly inaccurate after just several thousand years. Even in known cases from the modern era there can be a significant +/- in decades. What this guy is saying that if you know the where the find occurred, and other factors, including historical events, the carbon 14 dating method can be a useful tool. It’s somewhat circular reasoning but that is rampant in archaeology and paleontology. What you cannot use carbon 14 dating for is on items “millions or billions” of years old because the model around carbon dating would necessarily assume that no carbon 14 should be left in the sample. The further away from the present that the item being tested originated the greater the degree of error. Therefore, if you found carbon or DNA in animal fossils, it would prove that those animals lived within several thousand years of the present, and could not be “millions or billions” of years old using the carbon dating model.

    HELLO AIW! I think you should all do a study on how nature shows that God is a trinity! There are 3 aspects: Time Space Matter, Each of those three aspects as 3 sub-aspects. Time: Progress, Cause, Effect Space: Length, Breadth, Highth Matter: Solid, Loquid, Gas All of which are becessary in order for the Universe to function. So too is God 3 in 1. God The Father: Judgment, Law, righteousness God The Son: Love, Forgiveness, Grace God The Holy Spirit: Helper, Counselor, Comfortor Three persons with 3 duties each to humanity, yet exist still as one God. So too does the universe have 3 aspects with 3 functionalities each to sustain the universe, yet being one in nature. It is the nature of a thing that matters, not it's form. That is why God is formless, and exists as one being, despite being 3 persons. The universe shows us how this is possible.

    Your hourglass analogy only helps your point if you believe someone tampered with all or most of the hourglasses. It's much more believable that knowing the rate of sand flow and the amount of sand yields the correct result.

  • @michaelg377
    @michaelg3772 сағат бұрын

    With respect, you're misrepresenting the situation. *What are your thoughts on the observed 10 year old lava dome sample sent off to a lab that was dated to be over 300,000 years old?* The way radiometric dating works is that a parent isotope decays into a daughter isotope, and based on the rate at which this occurs we can extrapolate that backwards in time to determine an "age"... but in order for that to be accurate you need to know the original amount of the parent isotope, daughter isotope, that the rate of decay remained constant in the unobservable past, and that the material was in a closed system unaffected by other influences which could throw off the results - for the last X millions/billions of years. *We can't verify ANY of these assumptions without a time machine, and we have good reason to question those assumptions.* There is no time stamp on these materials - there is a quantity of one chemical, a quantity of a second chemical, followed by a heavily Assumption-based Interpretation. The reason those scientists inaccurately dated that lava dome sample by 4 orders of magnitude (!) is because they erroneously *ASSUMED* all of the Argon in it was the product of radioactive decay from Potassium - in reality, the material just inherited additional argon as it solidified. *If scientists can be so wrong in dating objects that we CAN observe and verify, what does that tell us about their efforts in dating objects from the UNOBSERVABLE PAST which we cannot observe or verify?* Along similar lines - oftentimes different tests yield very different results on the same materials - which tests do you accept, and which ones do you throw out? With respect, in your over-extension of the hourglass analogy above, you are erroneously assuming that those sand particles are in a closed system (ie. a closed hourglass with no holes), you are assuming the original amount of sand on BOTH sides (ie. parent and daughter isotope), and you are erroneously assuming that no one ever inserted/removed sand from it (ie. external influences that could throw off the results). Now we know that hourglasses are enclosed devices with a set amount of sand measured to flow at a specific rate of time (1 hour, etc.) - we don't have any of those luxurious ASSUMPTIONS when it comes to radiometric dating, but we do have many examples of evidence like the one above which demonstrates how radiometric dating is unreliable on a "billions of years" time scale in the Unobservable and Unverifiable Past. What are your thoughts on that 10 year old lava dome sample dated to be 300,000 years old? There are many other examples.

    @@michaelg377I am not a geologist but I understand there are many different processes for dating rocks. I believe that test likely used an unsuitable method or was just an error. Errors do happen. But the nice thing about science is that it produces testable theories and results that can be challenged and replicated by others. The whole premise of this vide seems to be that observational and historical science are different. Yet this video cites its own fossil evidence for things like the great flood. Seems to me that a belief that science worked differently at other times would cut both ways in that it then removes all reliability from the creationists' geological (flood) evidence. This whole idea that the "unobservable past" can provide no evidence seems to make any and all science or logic completely pointless.

    “You have to have evidence for it” We have nothing but evidence for it. It’s a cornerstone of biology, with every new piece of information gained reinforcing its validity as a scientific theory. Since Darwin, every massive development in the field of biology helped confirm its predictive capability. Anti-evolution proponents think that just by saying it has no evidence and that it’s a religion, it actually isn’t one of the most important, successful and impactful theories that science has ever produced. It’s honestly pathetic that they are still clinging to their outdated literal interpretation of an old book, rather than learning with the rest of humanity.

    Serious question. I understand Cane would have had to marry his sister, and inbreeding would have been necessary before the flood. But after the flood, God prohibited marriage between siblings. Who did Shem, Ham, and Joseph's sons married? Also, Abraham married his sister, then thr tribes of Israel. When exactly did that prohibition go into effect?

    This was so good. When she was talking about people that had gripes with God (21:22) and in their bitterness turn away and talk about how God and the church hurt them - I think of all the people that get on the internet, create a youtube video or go to the media to talk about how the church or the pastor have hurt them - I'm like "Wow! in your bitter rant and rave instead of taking everything you are going through to God - you've just potentially stopped a whole bunch of people from coming to know God on top of swaying other believers who are in the midst of a trial to topple over as well. You weren't going to church for the church or the pastor. You were going to church for God. Your hope should never have been in the structure, the person or the institution. Our focus should ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS be on God. This is always a reminder for myself. Whenever a decision at church is made that I don't agree with I always think why am I feeling this way? what is Gods heart? Is what I'm feeling in line with what God wants for me? So hard...
