    @rachelhayhurst-mason7846 uh I fail to see how that correlates to my point about how people can pretend to see a thing they have been conditioned to see. If I point to a cloud and tell you it looks like a rabbit and move you here and there until you see something like a rabbit, does that make the cloud a rabbit? Or is it just a cloud that you will think rabbit every time you remember it? Much like those moving images where it looks like it's rotating one way, and then someone tells you it is rotating the opposite way, and then you see it moving that way. If you stand in the middle of religious idols, of course, you will only see what they have told you to see.

    I went to my sister's house in Ft. Worth to watch in her back yard. As the moon covered the sun there was nothing extraordinary or magnificent about the light from the sun UNTIL the moon began to move AWAY from the sun. The brightness of that pinhole bright light was not the same as the the sun's light being covered up. It was magnificent to say the least as it shone down. Awesome isn't even a complete description of what was expressed in the sky. Brilliant beyond expression! I even took my grandchildren with me so they too could experiance this. It was incredable!

So God hid him in a crevice and placed his hand over him to shade himself from the direct view of Moses. But even doing that caused Moses face to glow so brightly that he had to place a vail over his face for the people to even look at him. That's what i thought the moment i saw the eclipse. So I was able to share the experience with him. We did not have totality. But neither of us had seen one at all before. He was a little awed. He is not a believer. But maybe you could pray for my daughter and her family? I am not allowed to share my faith with them.

    The geothermal heat emanating from the interior is around 47TW, which is close to 0.04% of the solar energy absorbed by the earth. (0.027% of the total solar heat entering the top of the atmosphere, 0.039% of that which remains after reflection back to space). So about 99.96% or 99.97%, not 99.99%. Alternatively: An earth without the sun, and assumming no radioactive decay heating the earth from within, would cool towards 2.7K, the temperature of the cosmic microwave background radiation, which is slightly less than 1% of today's average suface temperature of about 288K. But that would take a long time, so long time that the expansion of the universe would cool down the CMB radiation further. A fraction of the geothermal heat is estimated to be primordial, i.e. not produced by radioactive decay since the earth's formation, though the estimates are uncertain and vary widely.

For some reason the eclipse is always much smaller through those mediums than it actually is in person. It really does make you feel small, and looks like a gaping black hole in the sky surrounded by a glorious light. I brought my DSLR and got some great shots of both the incoming eclipse and totality with its gorgeous corona, as well as the solar prominences. You could also see the solar prominences with the naked eye as these beautifully colored bright spots. All I could think was wow, God is giving us but a glimpse of His awesome glory in Heaven! OK for ALL the people who are getting this wrong. IT IS PERFECTLY SAFE TO VIEW THE ECLIPSE AT TOTALITY. As in 100%, not 98% not 99% In 2017 Totality lasted about 2 and a half minutes, this time it was over 4 minutes. You could stare at it the entire time and not do ANY damage to your eyes. Even just before and just after totality you can look at the diamond ring effect, safely. BUT, as soon as it starts to FEEL too bright, guess what? That's the time to stop looking at it. There is nothing more magically dangerous about an eclipse than looking directly at the sun any other time. I guess the issue is some people must have thought that if the moon was blocking 90% of the sun it would be safe to look at it. It's not. But it SHOULD be obvious as looking at the sun from 0% coverage to 99% coverage HURTS! If it HURTS to look at something, it's doing damage to your eye. Apparently, some people were so stupid, in the past, that they would keep looking at the eclipse before totality while their retina was melting. I guess the searing pain wasn't enough to convince them to look away.

He also eternally punished millennia of creation because 2 spiritual toddlers who did not know the difference between good and evil messed up… (that’s the story of the garden - Adam and Eve didn’t know good or evil - therefore they didn’t have the law written on their heart - therefore, according to theological moral teachings, they were incapable of sin, because sin requires knowing good and choosing evil.) That god is not my god. That god sounds evil. I’m still on the fence about the Jesus of the Bible… but my heart tells me he is not the Jesus that has true power in this world - and the Jesus that has power in this world is not the son of the god of the OT. The Jesus of the Bible is an amalgamation of the true Name and a Jesus that fits a narrative of a power structure that wants to maintain power. That amalgamation is why there’s so much confusion - because the authors of the Bible had an agenda, which was to stir up a bunch of stories and give enough truth to lure people and enough confusion to keep them powerless.

    QUESTION: Scripture declares that the moon is a white light, not an object. How is it possible that one light can block out another light as in the eclipse?

  • @mustaffa1611

    @mustaffa1611

    Ай бұрын

    exactly. it's most likely not the moon blocking the sun. we know they lie about the selenelion lunar eclipses when both the sun and moon are visible above the horizon and they say the earth is the cause of the moon being blocked. so why should we believe them about this or anything else? there are videos of the last solar eclipse and multiple different people photographed and got video of the other dark orbs/black planets near the sun. some indians/hindus believe it is the black planet rahu that is blocking the sun during a solar eclipse.

    Your faulty understanding of Scripture is why you can not see but with God all things are possible. The greatest Man in history, had no servants, yet they called Him master. Had no degree, yet they called Him teacher. He had no medicines, yet they called Him healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. His name is JESUS the CHRIST, (Yeshua Ha Mashiach). Do you know Him? Without Him you will never understand His Word just as it says...

    I have to ask though why do you try to discredit His Word? Why rage against Him if He is not real? Maybe whether you believe or not just grab that Bible you're trying to discredit and ask Him if He is real to show you. Just come out and ask, then read. Don't worry about looking silly by talking to Him that you don't believe in but genuinely ask then read. If He isn't real there's no risk, right? However if He is real, which He is, you may just end up finding Him like so many before you who tried to disprove Him and His Word. I don't want to see anyone be sent away from Him forever because this earthly life is but vapor when compared to eternity. I will be praying He opens your eyes and you accept my challenge because He tells us also in His Word that He wants no one to perish but instead to come to the knowledge of eternal life that can be found only in His Son...

    I watched it from within the path of totality. It’s the first and only time I’ll ever experience such a thing. I cried. It was a strange feeling during the event but the rest of the day I could not stop being amazed, not at what I witnessed, but at the God that created it. That high is still ongoing. It’s finally striking home. What an odd way to reveal it but I’m sure that was his intent when he set it in motion.

    Agreed that soo much focus is on the "sun" & "science", but what about our Saviour? Looking to "The Son" is a far greater deal for the soul. Also, thinking of Genesis, the greater light to rule the day was overtaken (usurped) for a few minutes by the lesser light that rules the night. When the lesser light desires to rule the position of the greater light, darkness occurs as we saw. Our Creator God knew this moment of time would occur long before even the Creation was spoken into existence.

You don't even believe your own prophets: “One way to learn the mind of the Creator is to study His creation. We must pay God the compliment of studying His work of art and this should apply to all realms of human thought. A refusal to use our intelligence honestly is an act of contempt for Him who gave us that intelligence.” - Physicist Ernest Walton, who won the 1951 Nobel Prize in Physics for his “atom smashing” experiments done at Cambridge University “I believe that the more thoroughly science is studied, the further does it take us from anything comparable to atheism.” “If you study science deep enough and long enough, it will force you to believe in God.” -Lord William Kelvin, who was noted for his theoretical work on thermodynamics, the concept of absolute zero and the Kelvin temperature scale based upon it. “I have concluded that we are in a world made by rules created by an intelligence. Believe me, everything that we call chance today won’t make sense anymore. To me it is clear that we exist in a plan which is governed by rules that were created, shaped by a universal intelligence and not by chance.” -Michio Kaku, theoretical physicist and string theory pioneer.

    @@razark9 Sometimes, God makes us wait for things like that to test our faith. And being a Christian isn't all about getting supernatural eyes or seeing a divine figure coming down with meteor showers. It's about relationship with the Creator. We have people all around us that have had experiences. These days, Muslims are getting repeating visions of Jesus Christ. People are feeling the Spirit with them. And those things happen because people wait on God (for the Muslims, they try to find out what God is like, and because of their curiosity, God peeks in those cracks and reveals Himself) and invite the Spirit to work in them (Not really the case of the Muslims, though, but others do). Now, I am not saying you didn't invite the Spirit in, you can just tell me if you tried or didn't. But what I am saying is that God will not reveal Himself unless you invite Him into your life and allow the Spirit to work in you. In order for God to enter a house, it must be prepared for Him. It will not happen right off the bat, but in time, God will reveal Himself in an amazing way. It takes time, patience, and faith.
