I'm too far away to drive to a place to see it but I did witness a total eclipse as a child by looking in my little swimming pool. My dad instructed us not to look directly at the sun but that we could view it safely in the pools reflection. It is such a sweet memory from my childhood. Thanks Daddy❤❤❤ I miss you but know one day we will be reunited in paradise with our Savior.

The sun and moon are a part of God's creation and we should be in awe of God during the eclipse. The greatest glory is God Himself, but the world only sees the eclipse and refuses to give glory to God. If it is not cloudy it will be an awesome sight, but greater sights await God's children, Christ's face being the greatest.

God is Holy, Holy, Holy, and perfectly righteous. He is the Just Judge and so He must and will punish everyone who dies in their sins. God is good, gracious and merciful, but we are not good. We have all broken God's Law (Sin is the transgression of God's Law), many, many times. God's written Word teaches us that in our unregenerate state our hearts are deceitful above all things and desperately wicked and that we are at enmity against God. While many go after false gods and make themselves idols, Scripture tells us that no-one seeks God. Scripture tells us that there is not a just man upon earth, that does good, and does not sin and that all our righteousneses are as filthy rags. Most people compare themselves to the most wicked men who have ever lived to justify themselves, but it is foolish to compare ourselves to others, because we will all stand in front of the same Judge at the last day, who knows everything about us, even our secret thoughts (those thoughts you don't want anyone to know about) and if He does not see Christ's righteousness when He looks at you, you will be found guilty for your sins and you will be cast into the lake of fire. The Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh. He was born of a virgin and lived a perfectly sinless life that we do not. The Gospel is the Good News about what the Lord Jesus Christ did for His people. He suffered, bled, and died for our sins, drinking the cup of the Father's wrath in our place, and He rose from the grave on the third day for our justification. The other day God showed me without saying a word why i need to spread the gospel. He didn't speak really when in front of Caesar. God's plan was to have His Son pay for the world's sin with His Son's blood. So Jesus' death was already planned.

I am a welder. Welding produces ultraviolet infrared and visible light. I use my helmet 12 to 18 in away from the arc 8 hours a day. If you can weld without burning the eyes out of your skull you can look at the eclipse for a couple minutes.

August 2017, took the wife and five kids camping in a small municipal park in Southern Illinois just for the eclipse. It was an incredible experience! My kids have never forgotten! This year we’ll find a different spot (adult children now), but I hope the experience is just as awesome. Get out and see it! P.S. Just reminded by one of the kids to bring a jacket. The temperature dropped by about 15 degrees F while the sun was blocked.

The first warning was 8/21/2017. 7 years ago. Eclipse. 2014-2016 we had 4 blood moons. Or tetrad. We're in the tribulation. I believe it began in 2023.

A solar eclipse during totality is one of the most incredible and amazing things I have ever witnessed. Literally breathtaking. It was very spiritual and emotional for me, much like witnessing the birth of my two children.

Standing under the total eclipse is like standing on another planet. It's so different from anything you've ever experienced.

Keep your gas tank topped off. I can tell you Nineveh Indiana is a very small town. Very limited routes. Surrounded by farms. MAYBE some smart farmers will be setting up parking spots. Call around. Bonus, there is a great thrift shop with a lot of fishing gear, restaurant, liqueur store and gun store all at the gas station.

The 2017 eclipse came right over great falls, montana and it was insane when it went day to night and you felt the temperature cool off drastically. It was so crazy and I will never forget it.

I drove to Missouri in 2017 to see it but this time my house it right in the middle😊 It's mind blowing how precise God is. Edit... Last time it was insanely hot then ot dawned on me that my skin was dry. Temperature dropped about 35 to 40 degrees. And heated back up as soon as the sun came out. Took me a while to figure out why the temp doesn't drop or rise as quick when the sun sets or rises. It's like standing in front of a fireplace and someone puts a heat shield in front of you and then removes it. Also the crickets started chirping, frogs started croaking, the bats came out and the stars came out.

There is one somewhere on the planet every year. Often it's inaccessible, appearing over the ocean somewhere or in another country. There was one in the USA in 2017, and again this year. It will be a long time before the USA sees one again.

The most amazing thing I've ever seen!!! I'm definitely going to see totality this year again.

I live in the path of the 2017 one. It was incredible and quite moving.

Every new thing I learn about our universe just makes me more in awe of our wonderful Creator!

The thing that put's this one ahead of any previous and any future is the duration of totality. Generally totality last some minute and a half, plus or minus a few second's. This one will have a duration starting in Mazatlan Sinaloa MX. Some 4 minute's plus or minus a few second's. As an avid backyard astronomer since the age of 10, is the reason I started my plan of retireing and relocating to Mazalan. I'm now 75 and this IS the last on my bucket list.

@@slk2009 Normaral total ecipes cause's an average of some 100,000 amature's, professiionals and a lot of various news media to flock to the area of first contact. Which then the various hotels, motel's and every where else to rent to tripple, quadruaple and more. My in law's here have charged with out any debate now ten time's their normal rate for this one particular week. And because getting here and leaving is limited by the number of flight's per day. It's a two week endevor. Thus unless you have an avid interest in astronomy. Viewing it at home via any of the various media's, will and would be sufficent. But for my self, it's been a plan for some 40 year's, to be here.

I got to experience a total eclipse back in 2017 in North Carolina in me and my mom's own cabin and I can say it was beautiful. I can't wait to experience it again! I will definitely travel to the total eclipse zone if I can, I'm currently in Florida so we would only experience a very partial eclipse.

The last total eclipse of the sun seen in NC was in March of 1970. I was in high school and remember it well. I haven't seen a total eclipse since. I did see a partial solar eclipse a few years ago.

I had read somewhere that a total solar eclipse occurred when when Christ died on the cross.

This video was such a blessing! I saw the 2017 totality, it just happened to pass directly over my apartment. I want to try and get to a location just a couple of hrs away from my current location with my nephew to see this next one. He was only 11 for the last one, now he's 17 and old enough, I think, to truly appropriate the magnitude of this event and how he can connect with God through the experience, as I feel I did to some degree with my last viewing of a total solar eclipse in 2017! That was the most surreal, dream-like while awake, experience I've ever had! It was amazing!

I don't think we should ignore the fact that this eclipse path is passing over 7 cities called Niniveh, 7 years after the last eclipse path which passed over 7 cities called Salem (Jerusalem). I believe this is a sign given to us by God to show judgement on the US. Just as God had Jonah preach a message of repentance, so God shows America that we must repent and turn to Him.

We made a box "viewer" the last time there was a viewable eclipse in our area, maybe in the 90s. Not sure how great it worked, but we realized the light filtering between the leaves on the trees made a clear pattern of circles on the sidewalk.

In 2017 at 29 or 30 years old i saw my first eclipse. That was a bucket list goal. Mission complete

I'm glad I live right near where the 2017 one passed. That one was better to plan for traveling to, because being in August there was a low probability of clouds of rain. There was only about a few hundred miles in 2017 where it wasn't visibile. This year many of those places have a high chance of clouds and rain. The glasses and stuff are just for seeing the partial eclipse. You can look at totality, you just have to look away as soon as the sun comes around when the diamond ring forms, and it's well worth seeing the diamond ring form before looking away. Anyone who has the chance should go see it, because pictures don't do justice. It does not look like a black circle with a thin white nimbus around it. It looks like a glowing aura of a color range around yellow like when making plasma in a microwave. If it's thin clouds, it can still be good sight, since you can see the partial eclipse through clouds sometimes like when you see the circle of the sun through fog, but it will be crescent shaped instead. I saw that at the partial eclipse that occurred in the last year as clouds passed in front of it.

It's not just the eclipse that's happening on April 8th - Revelation 12 3&4 is HAPPENING DURING the eclipse. Just like what happened on September 23, 2017 with the woman and the moon under her feet. Only on April 8th is the 2nd sign with the red dragon and the eclipse is happening at the exact same time. I feel people are not talking about this enough. 3 "Then I witnessed in heaven another significant event. I saw a large red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, with seven crowns on his heads. 4 His tail swept away one-third of the stars in the sky, and he threw them to the earth. He stood in front of the woman as she was about to give birth, ready to devour her baby as soon as it was born." Cetus (Sea Dragon) constellation = Red Dragon w/ the head consisting of 7 stars Taurus (Bull) constellation = Is above Cetus's head and consists of 12 stars which represent's the 12 horns Pleiades = 7 stars within the Taurus constellation that represent's the crowns on the heads Jupiter (Child) = Is at the mouth of Cetus ready to be devoured. Remember Jupiter was the Planet that was in retograde in the belly of Virgo for 9 months during the Revelation 12 sign! The woman was in agony of giving birth. Venus = Is the morning star and is Exactly on the tail of the Cetus constellation on April 8. Why would Jesus say he is both the Alpha and Omega and the "Morning Star" in Revelation 22? All this is happening in the Heavens on April 8th - along with the Eclipse in the heart of the Cetus Constellation. You can verify all this for yourself in Stellarium. Then after these HEAVENLY signs in the rest of Revelation 12 we see the ACTUAL birth of the child (Marriage of the Lamb), war in heaven, the devil and his angels are thrown down, and the tribulation begins. Jesus is King and is coming soon!

an eclipse is absolutely amazing it is awe inspiring i witnessed one in july it was so hot outside and the temperature dropped at least 15 degrees it got really dark and cool and when the sun began to peak around the edge called the diamond ring i looked with my naked eye for a split second and it was a starburst of every color of the spectrum now don't stare at it people i glanced for a split second it was gorgeous if you have never witnessed it go drive and see it take his advice and dont do what i did it didnt burn my eyes or anything dont risk it but im glad i did ive never seen more beautiful light oh yes and the crickets came out like at night it was incredible

I was living On the big island off Hawaii in 1991. there was the solar eclipse of the century that lasted 7 minutes and it was right over us. I have a two-year-old that I was holding in my arms and was 7 months pregnant with another son. I stepped out on to my Lanai and it went from daylight to dark pretty quickly.

Shadow snakes are another proof that the earth isn't a spinning ball floating around in a vacuum

What an incredible "coincidence" that the sun and moon are just the right distance from earth to make life possible, that the sun is 400x further and larger than the moon to make breathtaking total eclipses possible, and that the orbits are so precise that we can predict where and when they will take place hundreds of years in advance to the second, and that it happens to be observable from planet that has intelligent beings that are able to observe it.

We were living there when the last one happened… husband had lost his job and was working in a different town and missed it. Then by December, we had moved to a completely different state . Now we would have to drive four hours to go see it and I’m sure the traffic going home would be worse… Our youngest was not born until 2019 so he hasn’t seen one … Wish we could manage to go somewhere where is happening but we don’t live close enough to justify driving.

I was in path of totality in Casper, Wyoming in 2017, and will be in the path of totality April 8th. Will be in Terrell, Tx. At in-laws.

You noticed! I'll be using the Questar to take photographs during the eclipse. I used the refractor to watch the 1970 eclipse, but where I was it was only partial. This eclipse is three saros cycles after the 1970 eclipse, so I'll set it up to use during the partial phases for sentimental reasons.

I was lucky enough to witness the 2017 solar eclipse in Salem Oregon. It absolutley blew my mind! I am so bummed I wont be able to witness this upcmoing eclipse. I would HIGHLY recommend everyone try to see one in their lifetime. It was SO much more spectacular than I thought.

I lived in the path of the 1970 solar eclipse. My Dad was driving me to a school event and warned me to make sure to not look at it. I covered my eyes with my hands and being an 8 year old girl, I peeked through my fingers for a quick second, just with my right eye. It wasn't long after this happened I began to have a bit of trouble seeing as clearly as I always did. My Parents took me to the eye doctor and while my left eye was perfectly fine, my right eye wasn't. That's how I ended up having to wear glasses. Was it a coincidence? I don't think so. Just be careful and do not look at it no matter how much you want to, better safe than sorry.

I saw one when I was in middle school years ago. My dad brought some stuff down to my school so my class could safely view the eclipse. Now I'm living on the other side of the country, I'm married and have my own kids now. Luckily I'm right in the path of this eclipse and I can't wait to see it.

It's really worth it. Had mine in 1999 and it was impressive!

I read also that a green comet is expected to come around the left side of the sun that can be seen at totality.
