I don't know if someone will read this but...I was not expecting getting that emotional during the eclipse . I've seen the pictures and videos before and I always found those very beautiful of course. But nothing can describe the feeling while it is happening in front of you but I'll try. You first look at the sun with light blocking glasses and you first see the moon blocking the sun. I said to myself... ok... this is really happening a bit in denial. And then you see it blocking slowly but surely. The temperature is starting to cool down even if the light is very bright. It made me realize how we are so dependent on the sun's energy for all life on earth. It made me appreciate how sun=life. The shadows have weird shapes. You look at the landscape and you know something is odd. And then... totality his happening, the crowd is screaming in awe, we just can't contain ourselves, it is literally impossible to contain. You feel the hype, it is stronger than what you expected. It is sunset colors 360 all around you and you see what seems like a black hole in the sky. Truly the weirdest and most beautiful thing I ever saw. You can see the sun atmosphere surrounding the moon, it feels violent, chaotic and you can't believe you can see sun storms with your naked eye. It is frightening and amazing at the same time. You can see planets and star which feels like a glitch in the matrix in day time. I felt like everybody wanted to share the joy with others. It removes the day to day problems. At that moment, hundreds of people are just cheering up what the universe can show us. It is a first timer for 99% of us so we are like a child discovering the world again looking confused and excited at the same time. So it is all there, right in front of you, the sun, the moon, the planets, the stars, the animals reacting to us and the light, the insects and bird chants changing, all people around you, many from around the world to see this, different languages, different families, different loves. But all our differences doesn't matter for those 4 minutes we all share one love to us and the universe. I felt connected to what our ancestors felt and I was grateful for them. I felt connected to the immensity of the universe and all its beauty

They absolutely LOVED it and my 6 year old was all too eager to quickly go show the video she took to our elderly neighbor, who's too sick & weak to go outside and who will probably be gone before the end of the month, was tearing up that she made it to yesterday and got to see the eclipse, but mostly she said she was grateful that my daughter immediately wanted to to show her the video. 🥺😊😊♥️

You were right about taking in the atmosphere before totality. That's how you enjoy an eclipse outside of the path of totality. Take in the lighting that you'll never see under any other circumstances. The unique beams are truly mesmerizing when you see them. There is still much to see in a partial eclipse, but you have to look for it. It's not big and in your face like it is in totality.

I was in near path and I had like 79% eclipse and even though it didn’t get really dark, I noticed it get pretty dark and even the temperature drop a few. Didn’t have glasses so I made some fun DIY indirect viewing devices like a cardboard box pinhole projector or just shadows of leaves on the driveway or cars, or even my Apple Watch band worked for it too with the tiny wholes. Stinks that the next total eclipse in North America is in 20 years

No wonder many people googled "my eyes hurt"
0:01 if you look next to the Sun, you can see the eclipse halfway covering the Sun by that mini shape in the sky
Bro Now I HAVE TO WAIT 20 YEARS😭😭😭
Thank you for this❤
Thx for showing us
Pov: you overslept and missed the best solar eclipse in your life

20 YEARSSSSSS?!?!?! Good thing I saw it
Meanwhile Antarctica having a solar eclipse:
for some reason it was so cloudy where i live throughout the whole eclipse and it only cleared up immediately after the eclipse ended☹️
How he said “don’t w we will have another one in twenty years 😂😂😅
Good editing bro
Thanks for telling me when the next solar eclipse is coming
My country was so cloudy that it didn’t even turn dark 😂
"This is the sun" I would have to agree with you friend
hey science bob, i really like what you do for Mark Rober but I loved seeing you at Camp in the summer!!
Imagine if it formed rings💀
He said Don’t worry there’s another one in 20 years so causally 😂😂
"It's just crazy that the solar eclipse look like a black hole"
The way he confidently said 20 years😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Note the solar glasses are safe to take off during totality
That was really epic! I was on a plane during the eclipse so I didn’t see it but now I did I!
When the moon is directly Infront of the sun it kinda looks like a black hole
Any one else notice he was Science Bob?
Bro made 20 years sound like itstomorrow
I I thought that was ur my sunshine instead of the sun. Thanks for increasing my knowledge
"dont worry if you missed it start waiting for 20yrs"it felt me why i didn't thought to go there
I was in near path and I had like 79% eclipse and even though it didn’t get really dark, I noticed it get pretty dark and even the temperature drop a few. Didn’t have glasses so I made some fun DIY indirect viewing devices like a cardboard box pinhole projector or just shadows of leaves on the driveway or cars, or even my Apple Watch band worked for it too with the tiny wholes. Stinks that the next total eclipse in North America is in 20 years
Is that an eye looking at us?? -my brain
bro really said " better luck next time"
I now it was so cool and when it was dark and you looked around it was beautiful I loved when totality happend
SO BEAUTIFUL❤❤❤❤
Me : Takes picture of it with my phone and looks at it
Thank you for letting me see the eclipse
I drove 8 hours from my hometown to see it…16 hour round trip. It was so worth it, unreal experience. 20 years is a long time to wait for another 😅
That science, Bob from Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn !!!!!!!!!!😮
thank you for sharing❤️❤️❤️im not lucky enough to witness its beauty😩😩😩
We went outside for it and it lasted 20 minutes, still a cool experience
Thank you for showing me it I did not get to
I live in the path of totality, so I got to see the total eclipse
Wow Bud is so lucky to see a total solar eclipse😊
He was my innovation teacher last year. He is awesome.
it was cloudy asf
One question for you should you keep the solar eclipse glasses?
Anyone remembers Science bob? From nicky ricky dicky and dawn.. 🎉😂
I wasnt in the path of totality, but it got really dull towards the afternoon.
the grandparents waiting to see it in the next 20 years:💀
the next total solar eclipse where I live will be in 120 years 💀
Where do you buy the glasses at?
If I look at it without glasses maybe I’ll have my eyesight back by the time the next one rolls around
I took a nap not knowing the eclipse started an hour later
In my city it was cloudy so we could only tell it happened because it had gotten cold out
I truly love how this man is enjoying his life by making amazing content for us ❤ Team: CrunchLabs
"This is the sun" Me : "MY EYES!!!!!!!!!!"
Fun fact: Lens flares are croissant shaped during a solar eclipse.
My country was not able to see it
In my country they weren't selling the glasses thingy so I didnt get to see it😭😭
Yeah it was cloudy for me, but luckily during totality there was a hole in the clouds that perfectly surrounded the eclipse so me and everyone around me could see
Cant believe i missed it. I didnt know it happened. Nobody told me.
I didnt see it before but this looks GREAT!!
i was lucky enough to live in the path of totality AND spent a frantic 20 minutes before totality chasing down openings in the cloud cover to be able to see it in all its glory... only for the clouds to completely disappear as soon as it was over lmao
“This is the sun” Yes, yes it indeed is
I had those little shadows on my wall
It’s science, Bob from Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn
I was JUST out of range! We thought we were but we ended up being like 5 minutes out! Cool but sad at the same time..
I MISSED IT NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 20 years😢😢😢😢😢😢
We have to wait 8 more years but after that another fricking HUNDRED years
