One of my earliest memories was wandering along by the banks of Honey Creek in the woods on our farm. I wasn't even supposed to be there alone by myself for fear that I'd fall into the creek and drown. As I came around a bend in the creek there was a little clearing smaller than a football field filled with marsh grass and cat tails that a flock of Canadian geese were feeding in. I was very close to them and they were approximately the same size as myself. One or two looked up at me only ten or fifteen feet away and was not alarmed in any way nor did they alert the others. They all just continued their feeding until I left. It seemed like a supernatural event as though the geese were some sort of angelic spirits who had descended to earth to comfort me and make me aware of the prescence of God.❤

Until man sinned. Man's sin corrupted Creation.* And we have nothing to actually indicate that, in the Bible _or_ reality. The closest you've got in scripture is _God_ cursing the ground and the plants therein as punishment for what Adam and Eve did. As for reality, we know that simply "sinning" in the presence of an organism isn't gonna mutate it into something evil. I can't lust after a guy's rear and produce a new species of germ from the resultant "sin energy."

Including how we affect how animals develop and have had to adapt. It's our fault. The Bible suggests that all animals in the beginning ate only plants. Sharks can eat kelp. Tigers can eat grass. I wouldn't be surprised to find other carnivores on rare occasions consuming plants. We already know that animals that supposedly are just herbivores will consume meat. I don't think you have any idea what it meant when God cursed the Earth. Nor do you understand what sin is.

@@JiraiyaSama86 *He is as good as I think He is.* Letting humanity and the biosphere at large suffer under the effects of predation, disease, and parasitism all as punishment for something Adam and Eve can't reasonably be held responsible for doesn't make him good, dude. And if you can see that, recognize it, and still think he's good for it, I think you should avoid other people; you seem the type to be a risk to yourself and others. *He allows us to make bad choices and face the consequences,* And those consequences always outstrip the bounds of justice. Eternal torment for not believing in him? Death for anything he doesn't like? Suffering and toiling away for food because someone disobeyed him? Yours isn't a just God. Yours isn't a _moral_ God. *which in turn can help us to learn how to make better choices.* And those "better choices" are literally just whatever y'all think will get people closer to kissing God's rear. *Including how we affect how animals develop and have had to adapt. It's our fault.* So I shall now ask. How many sins does it take to get a new species of parasite? How much sin can we quantifiably use to alter the evolution of the organisms around us? Oh, right, you don't know, because it's not real. *The Bible suggests that all animals in the beginning ate only plants.* That's just y'all being desperate to avoid admitting that death was always there with us, from the beginning. *Sharks can eat kelp.* And cats can eat grass. Neither can live on such food, even if it might help with passing a digested meal. And we know from fossils that heterotrophic organisms were _always_ eating each other and the autotrophs. Animals eat each other, no amount of "oh but _maybe_ it could be used for crunching pumpkins" will change that. *Tigers can eat grass.* Ah, seems like you don't know much about biology, then. So I'll ask this as well. Have you ever seen an obligate carnivore like a shark or a tiger actually _live_ on such plant material? No supplements, no carnivorous cheat days, _just grass?_ No, you haven't. No one has, because obligate carnivores _need_ meat to survive. *I wouldn't be surprised to find other carnivores on rare occasions consuming plants.* Because the line between carnivory and herbivory is a much more blurred than you think. We have footage of horses eating live birds like they would a carrot. *We already know that animals that supposedly are just herbivores will consume meat.* My point exactly. This biosphere isn't as clear-cut as you wanna pretend. Carnivory isn't some aberration from God's "perfect" plan. It's just nature at work. *I don't think you have any idea what it meant when God cursed the Earth. Nor do you understand what sin is.* Sure i do. God caused the ground to give up plants with thorns and thistles that man would need to toil over to get their food, as punishment for eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge. Sin, meanwhile, is literally just whatever y'all think God doesn't like. You can whine all you like about how reductionist my descriptions might be, but they -are_ accurate.

*The Enuma Elish would later be the inspiration for the Hebrew scribes who created the text now known as the biblical Book of Genesis.* Prior to the 19th century CE, the Bible was considered the oldest book in the world and its narratives were thought to be completely original. In the mid-19th century CE, however, European museums, as well as academic and religious institutions, sponsored excavations in Mesopotamia to find physical evidence for historical corroboration of the stories in the Bible. ***These excavations found quite the opposite, however, in that, once cuneiform was translated, it was understood that a number of biblical narratives were Mesopotamian in origin.*** *Famous stories such as the Fall of Man and the Great Flood were originally conceived and written down in Sumer,* translated and modified later in Babylon, and reworked by the Assyrians ***before they were used by the Hebrew scribes for the versions which appear in the Bible.*** ***In revising the Mesopotamian creation story for their own ends, the Hebrew scribes tightened the narrative and the focus but retained the concept of the all-powerful deity who brings order from chaos.*** Marduk, in the Enuma Elish, establishes the recognizable order of the world - *just as God does in the Genesis tale* - and human beings are expected to recognize this great gift and honor the deity through service. *"Enuma Elish - The Babylonian Epic of Creation - Full Text - World History Encyclopedia"* *"Sumerian Is the World's Oldest Written Language | ProLingo"* *"Sumerian Civilization: Inventing the Future - World History Encyclopedia"* ("The Sumerians were the people of southern Mesopotamia whose civilization flourished between c. 4100-1750 BCE."
