  Early boxed version of SB2C Helldiver from early 1970s I made last year- transfers still worked! Otherwise some of the Vintage Classics have designs going back to 1961.

  The first two kits l built were the Spitfire and then the 109 ... my Dad bought them for me after we saw Battle of Britain...

  Very simple but effective kit, the Me109 is one of the most simply kits to build, so Airfix had a good idea of making a starter set with it, and a version not so famous as the E or G. 👍

  Looks like a super kit ang great introduction to new or younger modelllers. Like the ckever engineering on the wings where lower half section sits into broader top section, eliminating possible gaps where wing halves join. Pilot and stand are icong on the cake. Great intro to model making.👍
