Really quite sorry to wonder - I'm new to Cuphead so I don't understand how a new game, with only up to regular mode to select, allows up to 3 star expert only skill level results with the golden cup flag. Is that a mod?

Her base plane weapons output slightly more DPS, yes. But the EXs are situational. Cuphead/Mugman do more damage with missile EXs on bosses with wider hitboxes compared to Chalice’s EXs.

what controller do you use? i play with the switch pro controller but the d-pad and the shoulder buttons are kind of imprecise sometimes, so i would like to try something new :D

I use a USB SNES controller for Cuphead. Specifically, it’s a brand called iBuffalo, but unfortunately they don’t make them new anymore so they’re incredibly difficult to find. I’ve tried similar brands but the d-pad doesn’t feel as accurate as the iBuffalo ones, so unfortunately I can’t recommend an alternative to you.

I remember this team from last rotation and I finally got the xls to power up my hundo shadow lax. do you think it’s still effective in the annihilape meta? I’m looming around 2700s and I have seen 2 in 25 games today. I think your play of staying in on the lead vs it is smart, bc it will outpace and grab shield advantage, then florges can come in. Maybe lax run outrage instead of superpower?

I’ll be honest, it definitely doesn’t seem as effective anymore. Granted, in my (limited) experience this rotation I’ve only ever seen Annihilape in the back, not in the lead. But the problem is that many people are safe swapping something to bait out Florges and then Annihilape has been able to sweep in the back once Florges is out of the way. So if you do run this team, you need to be smart about reading their team and preserving Florges if necessary. You could also run Snorlax lead and sac it vs bad leads and farm down with Excadrill. At that point, Excadrill with an energy lead can at least outpace Annihilape and do decent damage to it.
