I don’t care how many hours you spent practicing. A lot or a little, you are a monster. You actually made this game look so good, I bought it expecting to have fun. I didn’t pass run and gun tonight after 20 tries. I’m pissed and respect you.

It's actually normal to spend way too much time on any level. The Root Pack is much easier than the first run and gun, I hate those levels in Cuphead. I needed way more than 20 attempts to pass that 1st level but now I completed it 300% and I am on a personal challenge to beat it without dying once. Not even close from monstruous players like Jason but it is a challenge for me ! The point is, you gotta keep trying and you will always succeed eventually ! But maybe tryhard games are just not your type ^^

Idk if you plan on improving your world record anytime soon, but I heard with Funhouse Frazzle, you can just walk through the wall's mouths without doing anything and it'll die. I even saw it before since its required to get the black and white filter in the overworld

Hello, yes, I know of that trick. However, it’s randomized which mouth will open up so I get better times on average by just destroying the wall instead of waiting for a mouth to open up. On versions 1.1 and earlier you could actually clip through the mouths before they even opened, but unfortunately it’s patched on later versions of the game so it’s not possible for this category anymore.

If you have a save file that has expert, you can turn on expert mode on that save file and just start a new one. It should work.

Her base plane weapons output slightly more DPS, yes. But the EXs are situational. Cuphead/Mugman do more damage with missile EXs on bosses with wider hitboxes compared to Chalice’s EXs.

Hmm, I would probably recommend learning the route first (probably from watching this video!) and then go through the run without necessarily “speedrunning” it. But just to get accustomed to the weapon combos, the route, the cursed relic fights, etc. if there are any fights you struggle with way more than others, make sure to practice those parts of the run a LOT until you feel confident about it. Then string it all together in a full run once you feel familiar enough with the route and weapon combos and then see how it goes!

I use a USB SNES controller for Cuphead. Specifically, it’s a brand called iBuffalo, but unfortunately they don’t make them new anymore so they’re incredibly difficult to find. I’ve tried similar brands but the d-pad doesn’t feel as accurate as the iBuffalo ones, so unfortunately I can’t recommend an alternative to you.

Whenever I get the hints for the graveyard puzzle I convert the solution into a 3 digit number that corresponds to the digits on a number pad. In the case of this speedrun, the graveyard puzzle solution was right, up, left. So compare it to a number pad similar to below: 7 8 9 4 5 6 1 2 3 On a number pad the numbers 6, 8, and then 4 convert to the middle row right, top row middle, and middle row left. So it’s just an easier way for me to remember the puzzle solution by the time I get to that part of the DLC isle.
