They took a page out of customizers who were doing this for a couple of years now. Guys like Skip's Gunz. I just want Springfield Armory to bump up QC with these firearms.
I love my guns, but we the consumer is being lied about threats gun companies tell us. I buy guns because not because I'm afraid but I can't resist a good deal.

WOW. Staccato should be offering this. I have two Staccatos and I had a Prodigy as my first Double Stack before having those. Now, I'm ordering another Prodigy today because of this very simple FACTORY PORTING. Great job Springfield!
Monsoon Tactical machines this exact port/comp already, called the Genghis Comp. Getting 3rd party work done will void your warranty however, if you are worried about that.
They do, sorta. The XC is an incredible gun for the price.
@TheReticKeeper YES! That XC is a serious beast of a gun in its price class. I have a Watchtower Apache that I ordered last October and just recently received it and bought it just because I found myself drinking the marketing Kool Aid that was pushing it. Kind of wish I had bought the XC instead of the Apache. I'd love to find someone at my range with an XC and be able to get a little trigger time with it. But back to this new ported Prodigy. I think this new offering being a member of the sub $2 K price class (once equipped with a quality optic) is going to be a market leader that really draws people in and welcomes the masses into the world of the Double Stack. On a side note I recall shooting my original Prodigy every damn bit as well as my higher end pieces. This Comp Prodigy is going to humble some of the slighter higher end pieces.
I may send my CS to Monsoon or Skips Gunz and have some port work done. (I gave up on being concerned about my warranty being voided somewhere back upstream). 🍻

Also can you do a 10mm, 45acp echelon soon with the 5.25 as well and really do something daring as the 1st major manufacturer to release a double stack factory 460 Rowland, again even as a limited edition kit with extra barrels like 40 super, 9x25mm dillon and all the extras with a price that makes it work for you, Alaska would go crazy for them and plenty others.
Can you release an echelon in 40 and 357 even as just a slide, barrel and mag as a kit or as a limited edition custom package with lots of extras like spare barrels, optics, grips and accessories and custom dlc slide and paint job maybe at Christmas time and charge extra if you need to.
How about being the 1st big gun company to do a factory 460 Rowland double stack and a 40 super you could do a kit with different barrels with both the prodigy and echelon and offer even slide in 40/357sig as alaska alone would keep them out of stock indefinitely
