Jason Burton is of the very finest gunsmiths there is. He works extensively if not exclusively on 1911. No, it’s not a custom 1911 but it’s outstanding. I personally carried a TRP for over a decade while serving as a LEO in a major city PD. I’m a firearms instructor and I conceal carry virtually every day. I own and have carried Glocks, Sigs, S&Ws, Colts, Les Baers, Berettas and others. I keep circling back to my 1911. The 1911 is most certainly alive and well….

I've seen TRPs range from (I've seen it as low as) $1200-$1700. But this one is gonna cost more... people can spend a little more and get a staccato. Or I could splurge and get an Alchemy or WC. I love my TRP I got but I wouldn't have spent $2k on it.

Get rid of the full length guide rod that requires an Allen wrench, Optic cut it with a full size cut not compact like Sig did and you would sell WAY more of them

@@matthewbaker5359 I apologize for my attempt at being sarcastic. For $1999, it shouldn’t have MIM parts. I like Hilton at 10-8. He’s intense like me.

@@matthewbaker5359 Dan Wesson Specialist or TCP model would be similarly priced and excellent options. I’d lean towards the specialist in SST although that TCP looks great (just not a huge fan of aluminum frames). Thanks for the reply. Good day!
