  I got my High banker a couple weeks ago. The spray bars holes are angled. Which direction is recommended up or down?

  I just got my high banker the other day. That short flap in the back seems long. It covers most of the area at the back of the box. Why is it so long if it just keeps material in the box?

  The flap is long enough to help break up the water's surface tension. I like it long; however, you can cut off a few inches if it bothers you. When running the machine, flip it up and see how it works; plus, it is removable in seconds.

  There is nothing cheap about the 160 construction; it is made of .063 aluminum, and it is extremely tough and robust. Over the 10 years plus we have sold them, we have not received a single complaint about construction or function. This is not a Chinese construction, and it is very strong. With all the bends and inner construction supports, it is super solid. I love this machine. It is light, fast, and easy to set up and fine gold recovery. It is the best in the business, and one of my favorite things is the Low dust feature. We are more expensive than most, especially if you compare us to China equipment.   Yes, it should be okay in marine operations. We could do a few things to improve the frame, such as galvanizing or powder-coating. The Vanguard 40 HP is holding up in saltwater conditions. We have a bunch up in Nome, AK, and they are getting several seasons out of them. The pumps are bulletproof and should not be an issue. We could make up the intake and discharge of stainless steel flanges. We could incorporate some additional stainless hardware. The deal killer is an 8-month lead time on the pump.

  I wondered why there was a difference in pumps when I was looking at them. So Honda engines are not keyed? When I see replacement engines advertised they say direct replacement for Honda I am confused.

  The stock Keene P180 pump is set up with a 5/8th threaded shaft; however, this is a less common motor. the more common motor is the Keyed shaft, and this is why we offer both types.

  What is the largest dredge hose for the high banker? I am thinking of ordering it.

  With the a52 10" wide 2.5 is max. A larger sluice 12" wide would be 3". A larger 20" to 30" wide box would be 4"

  Is this type of setup now banned in the state of California? I thought that motorized or electric powered sluice boxes were banned. Perhaps this is only on national forest land and not private property? I am not from California but I've done a fair amount of mining in the Carolinas, and I also own a trommel(from different brand), rock crushers, and an A 52S that I've taken to Uwharrie National Forest. The rules are only stream sluice and manual equipment with no motorized equipment in National Forests, but on private property the laws are mostly do what you want up to a 6" Suction Dredge. My cousin is having a wedding in California this year, and her in laws own an almond farm with several streams in San Louis Obispo. I'm considering doing some mining out there and I'm wanting to be up to date on the laws on what I can and cannot do. I know that dredging is out. I'm considering some of the water fed options on some of the sluice boxes, even though the A52S is awesome and you can technically shovel directly into it, I am a strong guy and find that my ability to shovel often outproduces my small machinery- leaving my sluice boxes full of rocks and requiring frequent cleanouts which also causes gold loss so I really need to use a feed hopper or trommel when stream sluicing if I'm not high banking. I love your company and videos. Heavy pans!

  I have seen some guys put wheels on it; however, in my mining experience, we will pull it in on a wagon and then break the rest down for the more radical parts of the trail.

  Well it only took a whopping 25 minutes of a 26 minute long video to finally see a smidgen of anything that went through the machine, but good golly did you sure tell us SOOOO MUCH GOOD INFO on your machine! So now if we ever buy one or even actually ever even see one we will already know that the carpet pieces just seem to work good no matter what! (Spoiler alert, nobody cares) we just wanted to watch the machine do its job not listen to your useless info on it.

  WOW! YOU SIR, ARE SLOWER THAN MOLASSES! also, this should have been titled, "me taking apart and cleaning my machine." Or even something more defining and catchy like, "MY HOME MADE HI-TECH REDNECK!" because a "test #8" is not at all what you actually recorded or anything you are actually showing US viewers in this video. You are just taking a lifetime to dis-assemble while appearing to struggle even remembering at times how to tear it down but by God when you do get the part off of it you sure can easily waste another 5 or more minutes talking about the different types of materials and how good or bad each works with what. And while that info works great for things like you just working on promoting your home made design of one of the gold trommel designs the other man made for you, which explains why you yourself appear at times struggling to remember the assembly/disassembly of your own machine, but I wanted to see you SHOW US A DEMO OF THE MATERIALS YOU TROMMEL WITH IT!
