Excellent!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Very informative thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Looks pretty cool when you cast. Do you take fishing equipement or tournament equipement in your clips
Thank you! It’s my buddy Bridge Outfitting in the clips, fishing equipment in all videos!
@@AaronGoodis what kind of set up does he takes ? Which # and length? Or fabric ....
@@ulrichaksamski8917 he is using CND Spey Rods and Bridge Spey Lines! Rods between 12’7 to 15 Feet and lines between 23 and 60 feet.
Nice insights 👍
Thank you!
Nikon gear haul, ok thats new around here, Im listening……😂
No one uses Nikon! Lol
Great backpack, but you are missing something...kitchen sink and food!!!😁
Hahaha! That will be on my new cooking channel! Stay tuned for that!
Awesome stuff Aaron, love the behind the scenes content, “behind the lens” so-to-speak. More please!
Thanks so much Matthew!! Always appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
Siiiiiick.
Thanks brother!!
Great video and photos 🙂👍 Cheers from Norway
Many thanks!!
nice work pal, lot of work goes into a short like this, really cool
Thanks bro! Appreciate you viewing and commenting!
Love this series Aaron! In situ with stills showing the result- so candid and easily understood. So good dude!
Thanks so much Matthew! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
Aaron, Your photography of the natural gems in BC are both lovely to look at and informative. These videos belong in a Provincial Roto Gravure so that everyone could enjoy them.
Thanks you very much! That is very kind!! Cheers and thanks for watching and commenting.
A beautiful scene. Do you ever focus stack to have both foreground and background in focus? I liked the wide angle images.
Hi Wendy, thank you for watching and commenting! I sometimes focus stack if needed. When I want depth of field to truly be from feet to infinity then focus stacking is necessary but I do find that stopping down is mostly enough with a single image if focused about half way in to the scene.
Awesome tip Aaron. Love the forced perspective on the over-shoulder shot to the falls, really creates a natural draw of your attention from wide to narrow focus...
Thanks so much Matthew! Cheers! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Always a good idea to change your lens for a different view!
Nice. Cheers from Norway 👍🙂
Thanks for watching!!
Great video 🙂👍
Thanks so much!!
@@AaronGoodis 👌🙂
Good video but your channel not growing because your all videos are not SEO Optimized. thanks
Thanks for your input!

Interesting. How does it compare to the Airflo Rage Compact?
It’s a much better line for throwing tips in my opinion. It’s built with no floating tip and the idea is that you need to add a sink tip and we recommend 10-15feet at 100-129 grains.
Ok, Thanks!@@AaronGoodis
Tim is badass 🤟🤟
You are showing your age talking about ASA!!!😁 Nice shot! Cheers!
Lol!! Thanks Dixon!!
Aaron, I bought this rod after watching your video. Which tributary line would you recommend to use? Thanks!!
Hi there! The best recommendation is a Tributary 7/8 but if you are wanting a heavier load and max distance then the 8/9 but for most the 7/8 is the one! Cheers, hope this helps!
Do you know who called it "loop" historically first. And/or where that concept is coming from?
No I have not looked into that, but good question!
@@AaronGoodis keep me posted on your findings please and be careful not to get banned. That can happen quick, if u ask the wrong questions, brother. TL
Fantastic!
Many thanks!
Way to capture this fantastic run in this moment...the mountains being lit by the rising sun is amazing
Thanks man!! Was so cold but so worth it!
Love this series fella, keep em' coming!
Awesome thanks so much Matthew! Will do!
I hope you pay your dad enough for him to stand in the frosty cold day and not moving!!!😁 Great shot!
Lol! You bet! Thank you!
Cool when it all comes together! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Subscribed - what a ton of work, and amazing
Thanks Jesse!! Cheers!
Yea, he has a gift
Thanks so much!!
Aaron, That is an excellent photograph of Tim casting off the left side. The picture really captures the location on the lower Squamish River in that steep mountain valley and Tim's snake roll highlights what it is like to fish that river for steelhead. Joseph
Thanks so much! Cheers and thank you for watching and commenting!
Great image. Thanks for sharing the backstory.
Glad you enjoyed it Dixon! Cheers!
Aaron. Nice photo montage of a BC and steelhead historical destination. Frank and I did it two years ago and enjoyed it too. BTW, glad to see one of those old three bearing Loop reels in use on some lovely Thompson River trout. These are great snapshots of the fishing history of our Province. Joseph
Glad you enjoyed it!! Thank you for watching and the comment!! Cheers!
Cool!
That's some cool wall paper! And the Benotto bike, wow!😀
Thanks for watching Dixon! Appreciate it!
Awesome Aaron....Neon Rob here...no Hilltop pics....watching this kinda made me sad for the Steelies....All the Best!!!
Thanks man! I miss that place a lot, pretty sure it burnt down.
Gorgeous shots and some helpful casting modelling here as well!
Thanks Sam! Much appreciated!

amazing!!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Fantastic !! Thanks for creating
Glad you like it! Thank you 🙏!!
As always Arron’s photography is stunning and his fly fishing skills are unmatched.
Your to kind Earl! Thank you!!
Watching you and Tim throw absolute bombs is actually majestic
Thanks so much man!!
All my rods are lined either mainstream or tributary. The 14 ft 7 wt sage with a mainstem is my favourite.
Awesome!!
Glad to find your channel, Aaron, and to re-watch this lesson. I watched it and worked on it with Tim on the water and still find myself needing to be reminded to slow down and keep the tension even. Hope y'alls amazing-looking trip went or is still going well! See you at the shop!
Thanks Sam! Glad the videos help and that your enjoying the channel! Cheers, see ya in the shop!
Death by a thousand cuts . DFO has destroyed the greatest steelhead in North America along with the communities along its banks. The new generation of steelheaders have no idea what we have lost.😩😩
It’s true, I grew up fishing the Thompson for Steelhead. It’s truly the most magnificent place to fish and the most amazing species. It’s an incredible shame we have lost this fishery. Thanks for your comment!
Really enjoyed the nice pictures. Just came back from a Thompson trout trip myself.
Glad you enjoyed it! Hopefully the fish were cooperating! Thanks for watching!
Great vid man. Love that river ❤. Only a couple more weeks before I get to chase some trout around up there. Oh, great beer choice too! 👍
Thanks so much man! Such a special place, have a great time up there! 🍻 and again thanks for watching the vid!
Cheers, Aaron! Great photos, especially the great rainbows. Much appreciated the video.
I’m glad you enjoyed it Dixon! Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers!
A Moby net? The Log Cabin Pub, did it say under new ownership and would open soon?
It’s a Rushton Net, the pub was closed, no note on the door but I believe it is under new ownership.
