the light just came on.....still a bit dim but getting ALOT brighter than it was two weeks ago when I first starting using Mega Live. Thx for the great video!
So if I’m running 5 units on my boat I will need 2 perko kill switches (3 lines going into one of the switches and 2 lines going into the other switch) or can I double up the ring connectors onto the terminal in the perko switch?
How long did each step take to dry?
cut the music
Is it worth thousands of dollars over a couple years though? You pay up front and then you also pay for subscriptions. What a headache
I have a question. Bought a Helix 9, a Minnkota Terrova and a Helix 7 CHO. Do I need an Ethernet switch and 2 dongles to operate a network on my boat? I’m confused by watching your video. Humminbird told me I could just get the 7” CHO And an Ethernet cable and be good to go
Thanks for your overview it was very informative
Thanks for video on the fence between Elite FS or HDS LIVE with AI 3 in 1, currently have HDS GEN2 w/ LSS2. Would AI 3 in 1 be better than LSS2?
Thanks
I have a SeeLite 2.0 pole mount LiveScope and it is great for: SpotLock Running Tracks Having the pole in the water when trolling with big engine Would be nice to be able to rock the foot control if transducer was on the Trolling Motor but on a Riptide MinnKota Ulterra that automatically stows and deploys, the cable could get pinched and that would suck! I have the Cornfield Crappie LiveScope mount for trolling motor but have not tried it. I have a different transducer on the trolling motor and the motor has pinched the cable several times. Not cool! Main reason for the Ulterra is all the saltwater I fish. Electric foot pedals vs cable driven stink! The SeeLite 2.0 has been pretty good in SpotLock even in 3mph current and when trolling just under 4mph. Be well.
I was going to buy it but this video changed my mind,
When updating networked units does the other unit have to be turned on and what not for it to update both units at the same time?
Ban it !
I have two Lowrance elite FS units. They are networked with Ethernet but not NEMA. I feel like I’m really missing out. If I install NEMA with my FS units, will the function be available to do the programming on my ghost for the three additional foot pedal buttons? Or do I have to have HDS units with NEMA for that?
good stuff. i was thinking the fuse should be between the perko and battery, but i like the way you do it too. thoughts?
I’ve been wanting a fish finder for a long time getting back into fishing now as my nest is becoming more empty but still can’t afford $1200 for a unit was kinda wanting the garmin 93sv with the GT54 for now then maybe later on upgrade to the 56 but I was wanting to spend around $500 I know that unit is $699 any suggestions on a unit for $500ish mainly a shallow water fisherman less than 20ft mostly? Great video
LOVE this, thanks guys, a ton. My first boat, trying to figure out how to properly connect everything safely. Best video I've seen that helps a lot. Awesome. Cheers!
Hi, I learned a lot from you thanks 😊 I live in Norway, yes you have international followers 😀 here we depend mostly on sharing maps between anglers, we download and upload maps to and from the autochart liveshare humminbird website. Can you please make a video with some of your great tips? Making my maps and uploading them to the website is not a big problem but downloading other peoples maps and using them in my boat on the water is a bit tricky for me. Thanks
If you have two 106sv etherneted together do they both have to be on or can I use the one on my bow and shut off the one on my helm?
Why do you even call it a transom saver?
Exactly. Those do basically nothing.
Just curious about steering stops? Any harm in just letting engine turn while driving on highway?
Garmin all the way
What if I want to select different transducers for each unit? How do I name those transducers so that I know which is which?
Did you figure this out?
@@treybrunson3166 Somewhere in the sonar settings, Sonar Setup, I think, is a menu that lists the transducers. There's the "Built In" one and the other transducer. You can select which one. Not sure how to rename them though.
Just saw a utube video on it..double t fishing I think..yes you have to change it in settings. Use only 1 at a time. It can cause interference
More interested in info about lithium batteries used for cranking, but good info is like pulling teeth. All I want to confirm is the lithium cranking battery is not going to cause my PWC's charging system to fry if the battery's BSM kicks in.
Justin Absolutely go with a company that stands behind their products. At MillerTech Energy, we do just that. We support the fishing industry at all levels and work very hard to bring everyone the best products and a fair price.
This app doesn’t exist anymore. Does anyone know which app to use to screen mirror?
this is great. thanks guys!
5:40 - garmin shows a giant school of fish, lowrance shows 2 fish. Garmin trounces lowrance here.
Congratulations on the posted video. I'd like to know where I can find to buy the type of seat that Josh Jones uses for fishing. It seems to have a concave area behind the seat for support. Thank you
Basspro
I didnt have a freeze problem before the update wtf!!
I am having major problem with my initial unboxing and softwork update as an error keeps coming up and it says “maps locked” … any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated
I have just purchase a garmin ffs package and have been watching alot of different video's on this. Yours is the best representation ive seen yet. Very well thought out. thank you for what yall did.
Thank you guys. Especially the part about splicing larger gauger to small gauge. I can't get any step down connectors where I'm at in time for a derby and I was really Unsure how to deal with this situation.
I am going to attempt this tomorrow on my new 126SV. Do you leave the SD card in the unit when you are done ? Great video !! Thanks
Does the power run into the rg45 (poe)? Or does the power needs to be set as a separate power line
Best darn training video on wiring I have seen. I produce dog training videos for a living and have since 1982 - 99% of the training videos on youtube get a "D" or "F" - you guys nailed it.
WhIch HD transducer? Med/High or High/Wide?
my boat don't keep a charge . battery always low and need charging .
Does this hack still work with the G4N DI+ units?
Great tips! For someone, like myself, who is moving toward multiple graphs on the console and bow, this is super helpful and very informative.
You guys have any used take off locator units that you can donate to a disabled fisherman?
More confused than when I started.
Sure would have been cool to see the map video you were going to do.
I wish you guys were in Florida. I don't trust any of the yahoos at the local marine places to install my new electronics. Guess I will have to take a trip.
if using the hds pro with the HD transducer, can the elite use that transducer through the network?
I have a 9 live and I turn it on and I can see the map but the sonar just show stopped. Any thoughts?
can you explain Humminbird and the required 5 amp SLOW BLOW recommendation and what you use to install according to the manufacture. it is literally impossible to find a 10awg inline fuse holder.
Does the 56 pull substantially more current draw?
Good information and exposes the fallacy of ignorantly relying on a gadget. "Knowledge is the key to success" - Elwood "Buck" Perry.
Great information, can you do a video of how to make routes like this? Is that even possible?
