Gidday... we're Karstan and Max 👋🏻 an Aussie couple (now parents) who have been travelling together since 2008.
We live life differently to most - and now that we’ve got two young girls we are more determined than we have ever been to see and experience all that this world has to offer.
You’ll mostly find us heading off the beaten track, exploring remote places and pushing the limits.
We’ve travelled in Kombis since 2009, but recently decided to up the ante with an Australian built expedition truck! AN OKA. And the dream is to take it all over Australia and the world.
We’re big believers in putting ourselves out there and giving everything a go, cause why not?
With a positive ‘can do attitude’ approach to life, we’re always eager to do things that most could only dream about and hopefully inspire others to do the same.
We look forward to taking you on our adventures with us!!
Cheers,
Karstan and Max + Zu & Ze

Glad you got registered. That should be written off as business expense or something.
I love it guys, do your kombi have original engine?
Hello guys, watching from Kenya.well come
You guys are my reference when it comes to: you don’t need super fancy things to go out there and enjoy your own country. I’m back home (Brazil) and will start soon a trip around. Cheers guys. Keep it on 🤙
The old antage measure twice cut once, loved the inclusion of lazer precision 😎👍

The best thing i like about australia is the right hand steering wheel...

Is it possible to ask Oka for this information, I emailed them but no reply. I would like to know if they make a left hand drive one? And if it is possible to import it to the States? Thank you for the inspiration.

Heyyyyy 👋🏻😄
@@KarstanAndMaxine Always pleasure to watch your goings
This is the second time I have watched this one. It epitomises that getting somewhere IS the adventure. You just don't burn the same memories from air conditioned comfort and sealed highways.
This was such an epic adventure! And 100% agree with you….🤙🏻
I missed this channel so much!
It’s so good to be back!!!!
😊 love that your back, interesting watching your build progress 😊
Fantastic job, cannot wait to see the finished article. Karstan you are an amazing tradesman, Maxine you are an amazing partner and you both have an amazing family ❤❤
Such a nice message - thank you :)
Karstan you are so bloody clever mate. I’m loving this series. ❤🚙🤙🏻
so good to hear - glad you're enjoying it!
Chicken nuggets
Where did you get the actuators from
Firgelli - Linear Bullet Actuators :)
So loving Zuri’s excitement xx
Sick vehicle!!!! Love it!!!!! I own an 86 Pinzgauer 712M, very similar platform
He didn't nail that bed! He welded it! Instead of 2 seats behind the driver's seat, & 1 seat behind the passenger seat. I would have made 4 seats behind the driver's seat. 2 facing backward & 2 facing forward (facing each other) with a fold out table that would double as seats for the kids & a four seat diner (eliminating the dinette at the back) Behind the passenger seat a bigger fridge/freezer & pantry. Behimd the door on the passenger side would be the sink/stove/ovem & more cupboards. This would leave a nice size shower/toilet room on the driver side behind the seats/diner. Just my thoughts. Happy trails, Cowpokes
I'm so excited for you both 👍👏💕 the OKA is going to look amazing 👏
can't wait for it to be done :)
The 3D scanning will help you be so accurate...rather than measuring 3 times and cut, bit more accurate.
awesome technology!!!
Good job guys. Fantastic vehicle/home . The kids do steal some of the limelight from Oka! Will the baby have a little mirror to look in to see what is happening up the front? Love you, keep it coming!
The girls love the OKA - excited for it to be their home!
@@KarstanAndMaxine Lucky kids to have such wonderful parents.
“Did ya draw that with your mouth mate” hahahahahahahahaha
hahaha
Can the double bed fold in half and sit at 90 degrees when not in use ?
Great stuff really good to see the Oka transformation
thanks for watching mate
Blimey... $14k stamp duty, that would make the cost of the vehicle around $240k wouldn't it?
Look forward to watching everything OKA, I have had a soft spot for them from the get go and it's good to see them re-birthed. You are brave young family and I wish you all the best. As another commenter suggests be carful with your weight, steel and heavy ply soon add up to lost capacity to carry other essentials, also have you thought about insulation? 😃
