Great episode. A bit of trivia - the BMW at John Dynon art gallery was mine and has actually done part of the Darling River run and been on 2 Cancer Council bash rallies to places like Cameron Corner, Milparinka and Arkaroola where it finally gave up. Left it with John to ‘decorate’ when he gets the inspiration.
Love those accents👍☺️😎 Hi from California🤙🏽
The 'Walk-around'... Karstan, spot on; it is an absolute must. However, you only showed us Part 1... Part 2 (just as essential) - drive the car forward, then get out and do another walk-around the area where you were parked. This will ensure that if anything dropped out of or off the vehicle and was hidden underneath, you'll find it there and then (as opposed to getting to your next camping spot and saying "Hey Maxine, have you seen the..."). Keep up the excellent work, and really looking forward to you taking delivery of the Oka ;)
Hey guys another amazing video & i loved watching how the rear tent came out. So I don’t know if you do requests but i know I can’t be the only one who would love to watch a video on the van its self.. engine specs from start to now? Gear box ratios? Ride hight? How you did it? I noticed you had offset the rear arms? I might be wrong but i would love to hear how this amazing van has got you so far & kept you & your family safe. Sending the VDUB love from the UK guys & thanks again.
Fantastic ❤️❤️❤️ you’re all fabulous and thank you for taking us on another wonderful adventure 🎉
36 wow here in uk about 15c wet and windy 30-40mph winds, love watching you guys what a life im to old at 60 and disabled you live my dreams x
Thanks for giving us a taste of Silverton. You guys are champions for doing the out back with out a/c! I have really liked Karston sharing his vw issues on line and challenging is to what the problem could be. It all adds to knowledge base of what to look for and solutions for many other kombi owners. In not wishing that you break down more, but I have appreciated your insight and experience to solve problems and get going. Cheers Paul
It's still green - The bush seems as it was last year... Your VW is a legend, and .... your Grandchildren will love it ... Keep safe, team

Love Silverton we are here now but leave in the morning to go up the middle. We stayed at the camel farm which is great, they have a replica built compound here from mad max 2, the museum owner built it and it lights up at night. Worth a look if you pass through again and haven't seen it. The donkeys in town are gorgeous they had their heads through the window of our car.
Thank you Joe I had no idea about the scroll in the water pump drive. I have two motors, 6LX and my first one is a 5LW both in wooden boats, and both have been on the bottom of the sea. Doing my best to to rejuvenate them cos I love them so much thanks to you!
Hi Guys, always look forward to your videos!! Thank you once again.

Another amazing video. We were Kombi people in the 80s and 90s. So love your videos. Hubby seems to think the Kombi you asked about at Silverton was a 1976 model. Cheers Sue and Simon

Love the video guys can’t wait to go there 😊
I've done the Silverton thing and everything was open . Lots of people around and the pub was pumping. Good times. Mundi Mundi lookout at sunset was amazing
Maxine loves a good Donkey 😉“Show us your puppy’s Maxine” 🤣 She’s glowing a little, that’s great to see and good luck. How great is that Beatle hey (all show no blow however) Well it’s definitely the same old story unfortunately when it comes to all these dying regional towns Australia. Silverton is one classic Australian town I came close to visiting after leaving Broken Hill. That’s going to be a great episode looking forward to it. Yeah , the drop in population with most of these towns, brought about by the slow migration to the sea change. Not even the indigenous want to stay out there anymore all opting for the cities. If the government could just convince all the refugees brought into Australia to stay out there it would be great for these towns. Honestly it’s just so hot and dry out there. Enjoying your visit this time out there and as always take care 😉 There’s actually an article regarding : “The sudden death of millions of fish in the Darling-Baaka River has triggered heartbreak and frustration in NSW’s far west. Emotions ran high at a community meeting in Menindee on Tuesday, where government officials who tried to assure residents the local water was safe to drink were made to sip cups of it in front of the crowd. Days before, the river flowing through Menindee had been filled with floating dead fish, choked to death by extremely low oxygen levels in the water. “ The article said.😮
Great to see you again! Next time you just say "we go with the flow" if you have no plans! You are just a wonderful sweet family and we love to watch your Videos!❤❤❤

👍🏻 nice to meet you too!!! Road was fun 🤙🏻
The car at the property looks like an old Rover
Had the best time when the Broken Heal festival was on, lot's off colour everywhere, we went to watch the train coming in from Sydney, the train driver was dressed in drag, Silverton pub had live real men and drag shows, manindi pub was like walking in to a pub on Oxford Street, there was even a Massy Ferguson Tractor Rally 🚜 there Same week
You need a lock tab, goes over head of bolt and down or up to another bolt or stud to hold the tab in place..re gearbox..
I Cant wait till you get the OKA 😁
The caravan park has heaps of history you sld have talk about that.
I hope you guys checked out daydream mine, not only is it a great tour of how they mined in the early days but great scones and tea.
I haven't watched all way through , however I think if you go ? Nth from Penrose Pk, opposite to direction of black top . You can find some old mud brick walls , hx of which was an experiment in different mud mix consistencies.
as much as I'll love your new vehicle, I'm going to really miss the VW. Great little van
If you turn right at the next set of lights, it'l take you straight to the Menindie surf club. 😊😊
We got a kombi preparing for trips like you perhaps later this year
Have fun guys, great vlog cheers from Vic

Nice one 🤙 How's the new build coming along........?
tell me more about the OKA be great to hear more about the build
Skoda Octavia.
The car looks a bit like a Vanguard from the mid-late 1950s. Hmm, three guesses, three different decades. BTW the road from Toowoomba to Chinchilla is THE bumpiest road in the whole world, lol
The car was a Simca Aronde. French 1951-64.
Did you get to check out Day Dream Mine, half way between Silverton and Broken Hill, not only is it a great tour of a underground mine but also great scones and tea?
Love the kombi guys! Always wanted a splitty.. but ended up with a 66 bug. How did you raise the van up bruz! Got done great height on the ol girl! And love the Tyres!!!
Have to say you now your shit in regards to vehicle. Never do any of the travel you do if not in a group.. when you get the new truck, it going to be insane adventures.. Keep safe Enjoy content !!!

Hi, the doctor here. I believe it is a Simca Aronde circa 1955 model.
Studebaker i recon love the show
Definitely looks like a studebaker
did not get real good look at it But it did look like an old Volvo from 70s.
Silverton is where I taught my11 year old son and 8 year old daughter to drive up in the dirt tracks there Ty the right
And they have pumped up the tyres on the vw
Looks like a Wartburg. Old East German car.
Camp at Burke and Wills campground at Main Weir
Coomes roadhouse at Menindee are the best.
I always admire the little mouse, how bravely, she goes along with it all, really fascinating. Laughter Karsten, there are certainly more donkeys with two legs, than with 4, at least everywhere, where I was traveling on the world professionally and that have been well more than 30 different states in almost 50 dozen professional and army years. Good warm with you, oh God, since in the evening a cold beer, goes down like oil.Greetings from Frankfurt
Mistery car could be a Simca Aronde? John. New Zealand.
Looks like an old skoda.
hey guys, I remember being disappointed with Brocken hill with the rubbish being all over the place on few road out of Brocken hill, like the rubbish truck opened the latch out of Brocken hill and drove off, was is still the case ?
When do you pick up your truck?
When do you take delivery of the OKA ?
Won't you miss this on the OKA😂

Haha it’s so hard to slow down when it’s crazy hot weather... the coolest spot is behind the wheel - plus we enjoy driving so much!! Thanks for watching... when we have the Oka we’ll definitely slow down more as we’ll have aircon, carry more water and have more room 👌🏼😄
Maybe a studebaker,about1952,
Enjoyed episode, Old car Vauxhall Victor, ???????, 1960s, Cheers Bevan from Sapphire Central Queensland 🤠❤️🦘🦘🇦🇺
