Just going abroad is not enough. To be successful you need to go to US, France, Germany, Australia and maybe Dubai (debatable). You get a whole different level of respect in India. Indian relatives, friends and general public will treat you with respect like a king. Parents are also get status and respect in their social circles- "beta us mein settle hai" vs "beta india mein naukri kar raha hai". I know many who took a decision to go back and regret it. Sad!

There can be several potential losses and consequences for US and Canadian citizens if they surrender their citizenship and migrate to their original home country of India: 1. Tax Implications: - Giving up US/Canadian citizenship means the individual will no longer be subject to worldwide income taxation in those countries. - However, the individual may still have tax obligations in India on their global income, assets, and transfers. - There can be complex tax implications and potential double taxation issues to navigate. 2. Social Security/Pension Eligibility: - US and Canadian citizens build up eligibility for social security and pension benefits over their working years. - Renouncing citizenship may impact their ability to access these benefits, depending on totalization agreements between countries. 3. Healthcare Coverage: - Losing US/Canadian citizenship means losing access to government-sponsored healthcare programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and Canada's universal healthcare. - The individual would need to rely on India's healthcare system, which may have different coverage, costs, and quality of service. 4. Travel Restrictions: - US and Canadian passports provide visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to many countries worldwide. - Giving up that citizenship means the individual would need to obtain an Indian passport, which may have more travel restrictions and visa requirements. 5. Asset/Property Ownership: - There can be challenges in maintaining or transferring ownership of assets and properties across borders. - The individual may face tax implications, legal hurdles, or restrictions on certain types of assets. 6. Family/Personal Ties: - Renouncing US/Canadian citizenship may sever certain familial, social, and professional connections in those countries. - Reintegrating into Indian society after years or decades abroad can also present personal and cultural adjustments. The decision to give up US or Canadian citizenship is a major one with long-term financial, legal, and personal implications. Careful research and planning are advised to understand the full scope of potential losses and ramifications. Are you given up this all benefit to be Indian 🇮🇳 again

If you're with your wife and son and you're very lonely... you got some serious issues to deal with. I understand you miss your parents but even your parents want a good future for you... And if you Chose to live in Australia and your Wife cried like a baby saying she's Lonely without HER parents, would You, YOUR PARENTS and even society ask you to pack your bags and move back to India???!!! Consider your wife's aspirations brother, and visit your parents more often. Plan it out and then move back... or when you get PR you can call your parents to come stay with you! 🌷😊

Currently we are in Germany, after her 10th grade we planned to return to India. After her 11th and 12 th grade in India can she join Engineering college in Chennai by normal admission or in NRI quota. Or 10th grade she should have completed in India? It would be helpful if I get information on this.

Each person or family has a different story and situation so the decion to return or settle abroad or have a base in both countries is a personal choice or decision - no right ir wrong or future is uncertain. Having said that in current times with changes in technology and Indian culture and trends the so called attraction to foreign lifestile ia reducing, however many still like to go for career or other economic prospects. Similarly returning also will have some reasons - be it career, business or personal or retirement reasons. Dont take in to account what your frinds, relatives or neighbors think. Insteas focusnon your own and family plans and future requirements and take a planned and informed decision.

I had stayed abroad for 12 years and settled back home. I was fed up with mechanical life, currency conversion mindset of Indians, potluck every weekend, dumb sherrrad in evening, etc. In India, I see poor people are less worried about survival than a middle class westerners. As per most Indians, whites are superior so staying with white makes an upgrade from current scenario.

Getting Permanent Residency in the USA is very hard now a days. Indian Students who are pursuing their higher education in the USA have no future since most of the time they can not stay due to the H1 process. Parents should do some research before sending their kids to abroad. Most People from some Indian prominent states you have mentioned went to US illegally and given bad name to India. No country will welcome illegal immigrants...

However, if you are not financially independent or you can not sit at home doing nothing, India is not the place, because there are no jobs! (Whatever jobs there, are only in IT and services. Manufacturing and Mechanical is long time dead!

Our people never truly liked first-world countries. They admired the powerful currency, which could provide a better life in a third-world country like India. If you don't earn well even after moving to a first-world country, people will consider you a financial failure.

Returning to India or not is totally a personal choice. People who wish to live abroad and have to return to India for various reasons, such as visa issues, may think they are failures, but if one returns by their own choice, then it's okay.
