There was a tunnel in Neshaminy State Park as well. It was sealed shortly after it was discovered. I wonder if they were all connected? I remember going into it with some curious friends as a child. It was dark, cold and damp inside. There were lights on the sidewalls. My mother said they were called the "underground railroad." I'm not sure if this fact. She said they were used to smuggle the slaves here from the south. Yes, dome shaped inside. There were two entrance ways. One was identical to the concrete and the other was hidden camouflaged into the ground.

The tunnels at Neshaminy State Park, were actually an underground dwelling where Blossom Farley (friend to the Logans) use to live in the hotter months. (Sarobia is a passion of mine and is now part of what is the park, near the garden)

There is a trail that goes from under the 95 bridge that runs along the Poquessing creek, behind Nazareth and Holy Family. It ends on Knights Rd, I believe. Midway down the trail, you will see the remains of an old mill. You will see a large chimney. I don't know the history. Be careful. There are a lot of broken bottles and sometimes harmful debris. Still, it is interesting if you like historical structures.

Tom, I like the old Bridges and history. If you get a chance, there is an old bridge that crosses over Poquessing crick( lol) downstream a little further from dinosaur lake. Its behind the Mavis discount tire on the Franklin Mills mall Rd, right off the wood Haven Rd ramp, it's a dead end Rd, goes straight down to Poquessing crick, there was a greenhouse and nursery I use to go to long ago, abandoned now, the bridge is abandoned it's part of Bayberry Rd, crosses the crick and turns into gravel pike. We use to walk around in the crick there.

It's a old world building/ruins from prior reset that was mudflooded. The majority of the structure is buried underground...we just repurpose the top part which is why you see old world structures in the downtown areas that have windows half in the ground and brick buildings that look like they are slanted instead of level. Half the building in underneath so they added ramps or steps that were not original to the building so that we could use them. Look closely at the old town buildings casting aside the narrative of all these buildings being built in a short period of time in the 1800's using only a horse and buggy to haul all the materials and without power tools....recalibrate and use your eyes and critical thinking skills...ask God to revel the truth.

great video. I went to Tyler State Park a lot with my Gradfather back in the 80s when I was younger. We went fishing and also walked the trails that were through out the park. We mostly fished along the boathouse parking lot area. We had a map of the park from the main office to follow for the walking paths and marked them off as we walked them week by week. We also went to Core Creek Park and Churchville Reservoir to go fishing back then too.

The other "bridge" over the Poquessing was the large tree that spanned the creek behind Woodhaven Mall. We used it almost everyday back in the 70's.

Tom I grew up in Torresdale and remember in the 1960s when the old bridge was still in use. The stone wall next to where the old bridge was was the entrance to Glenn Foerd. Originally Glenn Foerds property came right up to Grant and James St. When they put the new bridge in that part of the estate up to the old bridge was cut off from the rest of the property. The railroad bridge carried the Pennsylvania Rialroads main line from NYC through Philly and down to DC. Now Amtrak. Great place to grow up especially with Eden Hall bordering the station and Grant Ave. It was great place to play and sled with all the acreage, pond and woods.

Was told it was a pumphouse, for the late Senator Grundy's Mansion and nearby structures, which was located across the road. The mansion was torn down to make way for the industrial park, across the road. The old pump house for the at one time world famous Bath Springs still exist in Bristol, in the woods at Rt.13 and Bath Road.

Pump house it is. Old engine with many parts missing. Not steam. A four stroke. Because there is a gear near the left flywheel that would have been driving the camshaft. Could have been using oli or gas as a fuel.

That round house is a pump house that pumped water up to the pool at Sunbury Farm. In 1977 or 1978 i talked to a girl in the big barn behind Sunbury farm, her name was Jane, she was the daughter of the owners i believe, and she said she saw Ghosts therecall the time.
