I made it with rice crispies today as per one of the comments it is delicious

I use coconut oil for a more healthy cookie. Forget cornflakes, use rice krispies instead.

@ Nourozz21- the Grand piano cake you will need the base and the lid out of plastic or gumpaste. the rest you can cut the cake the shape of grand piano and follow the details of my cake such as the keys, the notes and flowers. The other piano (the black one) is a recrangle cake with fondant cut out keys(black and white) and many small cut outs for the buttons such as sound etc. both cake have been first covered with fondant chilled then the details were added later on with edible glue.

The side towers came with a set with Wilton house set. But i would use the cardboard thats inside of the paper towel rolls (I always save them for future projects). Simply roll your fondant on a brick pattern mat and roll over the plastic towers or your paper towel brown cardboard rolls. You can also see how i made towers on my ship cake in white to have an idea. Hope this helps.

AGheartforever- I used rolled fondant on a brick mat, cut to the height of the cake and attached it to the cake. The brick mat or plastic sheets are available at all cake decorating stores.

Although it says "how to" it doesn't really explain..... however, I will admit this is an extremely beautiful cake, and I am jealous of your pâtissière abilities.

Thank You :-) The feathers are attached by wrapping a thin layer of foil on the bottom of the feathers creating an arrow. This makes the feathers stick straight without moving left to right. Hope this makes sense.

lovely cake! I was just wondering, how did you stick the feathers in the cake? Did you attach it to a wire? I don't have wire at home, but if I attach it to a dowel (a thin one) do you think it will still work? I need help before this Sunday!
