Russian Sweet buns with Jam
Ingredients:
400 ml of milk
1/3 cup of sugar
1 TB. Sp of instant yeast
1/2 t. Sp of salt
2 eggs
6 1/3 cup of flour
And 80 grams of butter
1. In a mixer bowl Combine the milk, yeast, salt, eggs and sugar. Mix them well and add your sifted flour.
2. After you add your butter the dough may become flaky . Dont give up continue mixing until the dough becomes uniform and stretchy.
3. When completed cover the dough with plastic wrap and towel and keep in a warm place for the dough to double in size.
4. For the Egg wash you will need 2 egg yolks and 1 TB. Sp of milk.
5. After the dough has doubled in size, remove from the bowl and cut into 22 equal parts.
6. Place 1 t. Sp of jam of your choice inside. Close or pinch it tight.
7. Cut 22 flowers with a small cookie cutter and attach it to the buns.
8. Brush the egg wash on and bake at 355 degrees F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
