Honestly I'd just replace the whole thing to a completely different brand. I've had my nextbase (G22GW) for only 3 months and already the internal battery is shot and doesn't hold a charge. I can unmount and power it on to do anything with it.

I haver a diesel and when I turn on the igniting at 1 all lights up, at 2 I can fire up the glow plugs and they heat and goes off when heated like normal. But when I turn the key to run the starter it just make click sound like the battery is empty (it is fully charged connected to a external battery to help start and a 40A charger). And after a few tries like that it dies completely and nothing will light on anymore... Also if I turn on the lights and the heating fan all that works, until I try start, then everything dies. I wonder if it can be same problem? Diesel engines do not have an ignition so it could be different symptoms of the same problem ?

  • @Martysworkshop

This is for any Nissan Juke owners who decide to change their timing belt and in my case the tensioner and coolant pump also. ( As an aside I noticed that after 190k miles the diameter of the used coolant pump roller ( measured with a vernier caliper )was just a smidgen under that of the new one ). After trying to put the belt on in the order as per the Haynes manual, with the tensioner last, it was super tight; I had to give up after god knows how long and came across this video during my forced tea break. My tensioner is very similar; there is a hole, but no pin supplied. I decided to put a thin screw in that hole against the spring tension, and installed it with the belt in the gap between the roller and the screw. Belt fitted piss easy, so easy a 5 yr old could have done it. So as a parting shot , why the f..k couldn 't the Haynes manual make it clear?. Thanks for the video, it helped me get there.

The cam is a hole that you line up with a hole in the cam gear, but the crank is a hole behind the oil filter housing that locks in the flywheel. Hope this helps
