    Is beet juice the same as beet root?

  • @sciencenothype
    @sciencenothype35 минут бұрын

    @@NipseyBlu707 it is in a way, yes. However beet juice often (if not always) provides more nitrates than beetroots themselves - and it is the nitrates that have the vasodilation effect. So for impact, beet juice is recommended over beetroots themselves. Hope this helps 😊

  • @sciencenothype
    @sciencenothypeАй бұрын

    Strangely it is quite hard to find porcine collagen (without bovine mixed-in) on the market. There is a company called Bulk Supplements that appears to offer one, and it has good reviews - though I can't see any confirmation of third party testing on the pack, which isn't a deal breaker but is a bit of a risk considering also that it's not a widely known brand. Marine collagen is much easier to find - Vital Proteins do a very good marine collagen variant in their range. Hope this helps

    How long should AHCC be taken for preventive measures?

  • @sciencenothype
    @sciencenothypeАй бұрын

    I don't believe there's a universally agreed duration for taking AHCC - studies conducted only run up to several months, so nobody can say conclusively how long you can/should take it for. I've heard of people taking it for years, without issue. So it would really be a case of ongoing supplementation for preventative purposes, and perhaps just keep a close eye on your blood work to ensure there's no accumulation of heavy metals or other contaminants that can be quite common with mushroom supplements. It is also advisable to take a supplement that is third-party tested to verify contaminant levels are within 'safe' boundaries

    Can we take L-citrulline at night ?

  • @sciencenothype
    @sciencenothypeАй бұрын

    Yes, there shouldn't be any problem taking it at night. Though, personally, I take it in the morning. Blood flow reduces at night due to your body having less demand for oxygen/blood supply, and blood pressure also naturally drops during the night. So if you are taking it for blood pressure, daytime supplementation is going to be the most impactful, just as it is for sport/exercise and periods of physical exertion. If taken for ED, typically 30 mins to 1 hour before sexual activity is likely going to be most impactful. It really depends on the primary reason for supplementing with Citrulline in the first instance. I hope this helps

    Been taking Vascepa 4gm’s daily for over two years with no issues. I stopped last month and started on 2400mgs of omega-3 and had AFib yesterday and I was hospitalized. So I believe it does cause AFib. I’m very active and have a runners heart. Very scary.

  • @sciencenothype
    @sciencenothype2 ай бұрын

    I'm very sorry to hear that and I hope you now feel better. What you have effectively done though is lowered your Omega 3 input - Vascepa at 4000mg is much more powerful than 2400mg of omega 3. So it may well be the opposite that is true - the high dose, super concentrated form of omega 3 in Vascepa was keeping issues at bay, but lowering the dosage to an OTC omega 3 supplement may have led to your incident
