Welcome! My name is Helle, and on this channel I share aspects of my knitting life as well as bits about Denmark & aspects of my Danish life, including some of the things I love best, such as nature, literature, travel, my garden, as well as musings on life in general. My opinions and beliefs are (of course) based on where I am in life and what I have experienced. In no way do I want to appear like an expert on life but rather like someone who is on a journey of discovery. I would be honored if you would join me. It is my hope that you will be either enlightened, entertained or uplifted - in a small way.

I am knitting the Eurus vest inspired by you. I am an experienced knitter and love the Italian cast on. I do have a question. The abbreviation ES is used on each row. I am confused. Does that mean Edge Stitch and is it a knit stitch. I am sure it's a simple answer.
Thank you Helle - such a pleasure to listen to this! Thank you for sharing your insights and the beautiful video of the woods! They remind me of the woods around here - Scotland and Denmark have quite a bit in common :) I'll certainly be coming back to listen again ....
Helle I just love ALL of your content. I feel a beautiful sense of calm when I watch and listen to you. Your knitting projects are amazing. The backdrop to this video was so lovely. The wisdom you share is so appreciated and always seems to resonate with me. Thank you for your generosity in making these awesome videos.💛
I’ve can go for months or sometimes years without knitting (e.g., I discovered I was able to sew my own wardrobe last year, thanks to KZread, so that took up all my spare time for a while, and then discovered how much cross stitching has changed since I used to do it 20 years ago, so then…), and so I forget those knitting skills and terms that get taken for granted in patterns. It’s lovely that there are tutorials now, but you’re right, it can be intimidating or frustrating to not know what seems assumed. It’s encouraging and reassuring somehow, just to have someone make explicit that barrier, and articulate the steps to overcome it. Thank you so much for sharing your time and beautiful projects. (And I’m completely fine with not getting a response to every comment😊)
Hello Helle, it is so good to sit back and spend some time with you. I enjoy hearing about your process as a beginner knitter. It is inspiring and informative but the best part is this extra thing that is unique to you and make me feel so good after watching one of your video. I hope you have a wonderful summer and looking forward to hear about some of it in your future videos.
What a wonderful place, the sunsets quite simply glorious. Such beauty in nature I always find very moving. I listened to a podcast a few days ago where the guest in the studio calmly announced "I don't like nature". What an unbelievable statement and sad outlook. I like your tradition of flying the flag. When camping with my friends we used to do the same, though we didn't have to take it down at sunset. Great that you volunteered and it took me back to my days working in the youth service here in the UK. Many of them lacked the opportunities that I'd had.
Hi Helle. I love your podcasts. You give me so much inspiration. What a wonderful Trellis sweater. And the wool is so gorgeous, I immediately looked at the Web shop and ordered it. To appreciate your efforts and your kindness I would like to sent you a little present. Can you tell me your whole name and adress for sending or an post office I can send to and you fetch it? It's a real thing of my heart to give something to you. Greetings from Germany. Regine
you need to put this sweater on Ravelry - nothing compares!! Beautiful
Watch Survive the Jive's video on What Does It Mean To Be English, there is almost no difference between Danes and English people because the Angles came from Denmark originally. So really you're still as Danish as you ever were, and I wouldn't be surprised if your Finnish ancestry wasn't actually just Swedish ancestry as well considering Finland was a part of Sweden at one time. Those DNA tests are only semi accurate imo, they don't seem to understand population clusters as well as they should.
Thanks for your input. Makes sense 😎
It's so beautifully captured ma'am✨
I enjoy your travel and knitting videos. I feel like I've gained a friend. I've been to Denmark, in Aarhus and Copenhagen. My husband is a musician and was invited to play with the jazz band in Aarhus years ago. What lovely people we met. Thank you for sharing with us. Oh yes, your knitting is gorgeous. The yarns are exquisite. You are such a beautiful young lady and I'll be coming back for more of your travels and knitting.
What a lovely and kind comment. Thank you; I appreciate it 🥰💕

Aw, that is so sweet of you to write, thank you 😘
Thank you for your videos. Each of them is like a gem with insights about life and knitting. I feel like you are talking to every viewer as if talking to a friend, so listening to a podcast really warms my heart and makes me feel less lonely.
Oh, your comment, likewise, warmed my heart. Honoured to keep you company and make you feel less lonely. Sending you lots of love 💞😚

Hälsa från jämtland i Sverige. I love your channel because it so cozy.
Tak for at se med og mange hilsner til dig i skønne Sverige 💙💛
I have the needle binder and absolutely love it! I can leave it out on the table and it does not look messy plus you can travel with one of the pages without taking the entire thing. What a generous gift! I too bought yarn based on one of your earlier podcasts. The yarn is incredible.
Yes, so generous. And so happy to hear you love the yarn ❤️✨
Thank you so much Helle for sharing your learnings and thoughts on these topics. I love how these guiding principles align with my beliefs and sum them up in a beautiful way. 💚
I love that, too 😌 Thanks for your comment 💚
I read your book when I was in hospital in York. (I'm a Yorkshireman.) I was very comforted by it. Lovely book, thank you.
That is so lovely to hear 💕 Thank you very much. Hope you’re recovering well 🥰
Hello Helle, I want to take the time to thank you for your reflective sharing, both technical and personal. I suppose its inevitable that you will be unsettled by negative comments or people leaving your podcast but be true to yourself: what you offer is of tremendous value because you put yourself into it. That is more than enough. Those of us who are drawn to your generous nature really value your generous spirit and, if it's not too bold, count you as a secret friend. Thank you.
Oh I’m so happy to be your secret friend 🥰 Thank you for your comforting words 🙏🏻❤️
If you could film you organizing your needles in the binder. I could benefit from something like this but am afraid it will get too bulky. Thanks. Love your style and vibe!!
Many thanks for the tour)

You need to be “YOU” and that is what I appreciate! 🥰👍
Namaste, Helle and friends in the knitting community. Although my preferred projects are quite different from yours, hearing your thoughts and seeing your projects expands my horizons, and I greatly enjoy knitting along with your podcasts.
