Playing MH for a few years and boi, my baby will allways will be the GS. Sword and Shield, Hammer, lance, insect glave and Bow are cool too and i enjoy them a lot but nothing compares to the GS.❤❤❤
I play longsword and bow because of I-frame
I started out with Longsword back in base World and Icebrone, tried ChargeBlade, SwitchAxe, GS, Hammer and DualBlades. Now, comming back to MHW Iceborne as I tried Rise and didn't like it, I began trying all the weapons in Iceborne and to my surprise I LOVED the HuntingHorn, especially the safi one where you could even customize the songs u get on it. But my main actually became the LANCE. This weapon is incredible. I did a "speed run" test to see how fast I could solo Tempered Ruiner Nergi with all my full fatalis builds on 4 weapons: GS, HAMMER, DualBlades and Lance and to my surprise I got by far the fastest time to kill on Lance. Its incredibly underated and quickly became my favourite weapon. Its suprisingly mobile thanks to its charge so u can chase the monster easy without sheathing and you can stick to its head like glue due to the amazing defence. You don t have to wait for openings like with others. And I can't tell you how satisfying it is to get the perfect cluch counter or normal counter every time you get attacked. This weapon is AMAZING. Long story but I LOVE THIS GAME and can't wait for Wilds to come out. Sitting at 600hours in Iceborne now. Will go over 1k till then most def.
The co-op in rise was awesome and better for me than world. I also enjoyed the rampages in rise they were cool.
Where’s the build??
When that small flying monster at 17:30ish interrupted your charged dragon piercer on your hunt target so you immediately swapped targets and 💀ed him and his entire family, I really felt that~
Having played a few different weapons, my favorite is still Lance. It’s just so good at keeping uptime. Second has to be the SWAX! It’s just so flashy and really fun to play. Then my secret favorite weapon, the Hammer. But the weapon that’s most difficult to master has to be the CB. Just so many things to manage at once, it’s not a very good weapon for beginners.
Fat sword too hard. Lance go BRR. I've tried multiple times to pick up GS but I always wanna just stick to the monster and harass it, something that I found very easy to do with the lance. DB has also been nice for giving prolonged pedicures.
I can play all weapons to some capacity but will always fall back to my old faithful Hammer if things look rough. Funnily enough, though, i find myself using lance more as i get better at the game. GL is a hidden treasure. Swagaxe just feels nice when played well. CB is really fun once you learn guard points well. Its fun to just stare danger in the face with HBG but investing in evasion both skills can really help. Idk i have so many favorites because i like play MH so much

I am on a fresh Insect Glaive playthrough, with over 140 hrs in Gunlance, and i cannot begin to tell other new Hunters how INVALUABLE this guide is. The game slowly teaches you these concepts but this is really the way the monsters are meant to be studied and not hacked at and traded with. Im enjoying my run so far and hopefully taking it all the way to Iceborne 🔥🔥🤝 great vid man thanks for the refresher too !
