I used to think our courts and systems were wonderful and the best UNTIL I worked years in the foster care system. The people in charge bullied and were arrogant with me then they made decisions BEST for THEM and never my foster kids. They lied to my foster teens like crazy and didn't know my kids told me EVERYTHING knowing that I cared about their future unlike the agencies. What was worse....our Judges made decisions constantly that caseworkers refused to follow and there was NO ONE that could speak up without their attacks later on . Many police officers that I was close to told me unreal stories of walking out of the court system and the caseworkers REFUSING to give back kids to parents like the Judge decided. My big tall brave police friend refused to put up with it and would keep up until the kids were back with their parents over some stupid little thing. Courts are a joke!!! Too many stories of no evidence yet the powerful government people make up lies and do whatever THEY want including to get other professionals to be lying witnesses for them since they all get clients and billings from it all. Just money making schemes I realized after seeing things for years in the foster system, Mental health facilities , Psychiatrists drugging up my foster kids, and School Systems with Admin covering their jobs and to hell with the teachers and kids. I am sick of it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until I got heavily involve I had no idea just how screwed up America is and guess what !!! The biggest joke is that TAXPAYERS are paying for these selfish, arrogant , greedy clowns!!

I think you make a fair point, but let me point something out here....America was NOIT energy independent during Trump. Let me explain why not...The U.S. has increased its oil and natural gas production dramatically, becoming a net energy exporter in 2019 for the first time in decades. However....I repeat...however, American refineries are designed to process a mix of crude oil types, including both domestic and imported oil. This is where the concept of different viscosities comes in. To "retool" these refineries is just too expensive and oil companies are not going to do that. They just aren't. SOOOOO....Crude oil varies in viscosity and sulfur content. U.S. refineries blend different types of oil to produce gasoline and other petroleum products efficiently, mainly light sweet which is usually U.S. Shale oil, and so-called "sour crude."While the U.S. doesn't necessarily need foreign oil specifically, we do import large amounts of oil to optimize refinery operations and meet market demands. The concept of retooling these refineries just is not going to happen--it costs far too much. So, to say that we were and are going to be energy independent is a REAL stretch. But, they tell Americans that in an attempt to get them to believe it and if you repeat the lie enough, you believe it. As far as lower rates, you are exactly right.The U.S. was still in a long-term recovery phase from the 2008 financial crisis, which typically involves lower interest rates to stimulate growth.Before COVID-19, the economy was growing steadily but not overheating, which supported the continuation of low rates. In 2020, rates were cut to near-zero in response to the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. So, basically, a monkey could have been president and these impacts would have continued to happen. Even a fool like Carter couldn't screw that up. The way I see it taking credit for something you really had no hand in is like Barry Switzer claiming that he built a Super Bowl winning Cowboys team. IT just didn't happen. But, I think it speaks to the greater desperation of the party. I look at it and think the energy of the home field crowd had a lot to do with it but his body language and his answering had not changed much. Clearly, there is something wrong. Trump's lies during the debate were less frequent than Biden's which does not make it great but still marginally better. Trump is not a nut and has not been misleading the party.
