If anyone has struggled with has deeply connected to the fig tree concept, I think I can share a different perspective if you’d like it. You are the tree, not the fig. All you need to do is pick a fig and not starve, it's been shown that picking fruit off of trees actually encourages the tree to produce more fruit, so when you make a decision, it's not the end of the world it doesn't close off those other paths for you, that tree will keep growing alongside you. yes, you might not be able to pick that exact fruit that was on there the first time, but when you return to the tree, it's going to have new fruit and different possibilities for you, there’s always going to be something:)

Psychologist here! The dual personality thing I think relates well to internal family systems or parts work which is the idea that we all have internal parts that may or may not have different goals/objectives think adult part child part or protective part etc I think it’s a less pathologising way to think about dual personalities

12:00 not even the 50s, healthcare now is terrifying. I take care of people who are doped up for no good reason because their doctor thinks it’s ok but never actually sees them being totally dependent and high as a kite. It’s terrifying and sad. Got punched in the face today. Everyone was mad. I don’t know what happened, but almost every patient today was combative. So sad. I try so hard to be nice. Had a patient try to get me in trouble because I didn’t answer her call light within 10 minutes as I was taking care of 21 other people.

I was buying gravy mix the other day and noticed the first ingredient in the cheapest option was palm oil. I opted for the next cheapest. An older woman asked if I could hand her one of the cheapest ones and I hesitated on saying something, if only to help her be an informed consumer

If you want to read a BEAUTIFUL book that's sort of in the same vein as The Bell Jar, I highly recommend Veronika Decides To Die by Paolo Coehlo! It saved and changed my life. It's a short but deeply moving read and I would love your thoughts on it <3 Love you Miss Boski
