Ok truth is like this. Stephen a, Arenas, Perkins and the mainstream media in general, talking out of common sense, because simply this is what 'sells' and getting views. If they would talk logically like for example AI or LBJ, they wouldn't get enough controversy, which is their actual goal. When you want to see highlights today you watch Luca and Kyrie, the first is one of the best and most versatile offensive players in the history of basketball and he is only 25!!!! and the other one, maybe the best ball handler, a real artist, an amazing closer, who belongs in the elite for a decade. They forgot who made the most important shot in Cavs history. They forgot who outplayed in those finals. It is out of common sense when ESPN for example gave a D grade in Kyrie transfer to Dallas. Nope. In any universe, in any timeline. We all understand the 'need' of all those 'analysts' to find the next hero. There you have him guys right in front of you. Just cut the crap accept it.

This is why Larry Bird had a huge chip on his shoulder. He openly talked about how he wanted to drill it into the heads of all the other players he was better than them, simply because he knew the prevailing thought that a so-called slow white dude could not be better. Also... neither Bird or Doncic was/are slow - in terms of super quick stops, shifts, and reversals of their momentum that shed defenders, which allows for "getting their spots". Both "see their spots" way ahead of time or at the moment when the lanes or spots open up. This skill - or ability that others don't possess at an elite level has been measured... or more specifically TIMED. It's just another analytic. Recently I came across an analysis of this, comparing NBA players, and Luka is near the top of being the 'fastest' at doing this, but add this to his shooting prowess and it's deadly. Luka says all the time how he just wants to get his spots. Dumb dumbs can't see how this is what makes him "better". Basing "athleticism" solely off the one-dimensional idea that explosiveness for sprinting or leaping is the "prime metric" for athleticism shows how stupid or ignorant the majority of people are when it comes to defining "more athletic". This dumbed down thinking is why so many "athletic college players" don't have what it takes to be a good baller in the NBA and are simply overrated, immature, or sometimes arrogant in their self assessment. Full circle... this is why Bird played with a massive chip.
Steph just can't accept the fact that White Men can ball. Basketball is slowly being accepted by many countries in the world. There are some worldly talents somewhere that are not being discovered. If you are an analyst then focus on the game and not skin.

My gut tells me Mavs are going to win this. I think Luka is going to outplay Tatum. Tatum is good but when he chokes he’s terrible and that’s the same with brown and Gafford is going to be protecting the rim from these guys they like to drive in for lay ups and dunks. If they can put pressure on on the perimeter and get Boston to miss 3’s they will have a chance at winning.
