What i like about Victor is hes humble , hes respectful but hes a killer competitor as well as having no fear over anyone.

What I don't like about VW is he doesn't credit God, Who is responsible for giving VW the talent he has. God is not mocked so VW better start giving the Man upstairs credit for his talent.

You hit the nail on the head derpfriar. He has the right character traits for the spurs. But also, he is really driven. That’s always a concern when drafting 7 footers. Are they playing the game bc they want to or are they doing it bc they’re 7 footers and it’s easy. He works extremely hard and he doesn’t like losing.

100% I was really surprised no one touched on his mentality. For a 20 year old, he is incredibly mature, intelligent and yes humble, but he also has that killer instinct like Kobe and MJ

The fun thing with Victor is that every coach can use him in a different way. He's so complete. If Victor plays for every coach a different season, we would see 30 versions of a great Victor. 😂

After they put the right pieces around him, he is gonna be a massive problem for the next few years Its scary to imagine that his rookie season will probably be his worst. The first year was mostly free flowing to let him have the feel of the NBA games.

Because VW is a superstar already, the Spurs just need one, not two, humble superstar next to him. If they want a super team, then two superstars. But it needs to be a Euro-type superstar, not a Kyrie Irving type American superstar. Americans players are head cases b/c they are full of pride. All other Spurs players surrounding those two can be avg to above ave players and, barring injury, the Spurs will win many more titles under VW and whoever is the next Spurs coach in two years.

Had the Spurs (greatest team ever) played the whole season like they played the last 10 regular season games, they’d have won 50+ games. 😊 The Spurs are the best team because the game today is a lot more developed than in the ‘60s.

I never imagined I'd see a 7'5" guy routinely shooting 3s.

Victor wants to win every bit as much as MJ, Kobe or Bird plus he has the skills of all three,. They didn't have his length, nor his physical flexibility. We are looking at the next GOAT. Some will give it to him early, others will resist due to their love affair with Michael. The only impediment for a healthy Wemby is if he becomes bored with the game because basketball becomes too easy for him and his interest in other activities takes over. With his maturity, he could become the equivalent of another Albert Schweitzer and walk away after a few rings.

If the Spurs were in the top 4 for the playoff, I believe Wemby would be in the conversation in the MVP candidates. Wemby would win mvp because of his defense more than offense. Wemby is a taller version of Hakeem(defensively).
