The NBA's Most Underrated Accomplishments
Спорт
In the fiercely competitive world of the NBA, where only a select few achieve superstardom, the stories of lesser-known players often go unnoticed. From Jameson Curry's brief but remarkable stint to Ish Smith's record-setting journey across 13 teams, these players exemplify the resilience and dedication required to navigate the league's challenges. Brian Scalabrine, Trevor Ariza, Thad Young, AC Green, and Jeff Green showcase the diverse paths and enduring contributions of NBA veterans who may not grace the headlines but embody the heart and passion that define basketball. Their journeys underscore the significance of every player's presence in the NBA, emphasizing that success in the league transcends individual accolades, echoing the sentiment that making it to the NBA should never be underestimated or dismissed. Stay tuned to learn more about their stories and learn what really is the NBA’s greatest achievement.

The best line about ball I ever heard was from Scal... "Im closer to LeBron than you are to me."

I heard somebody ROAST Scal by adding "but only just..." which is as far as you can go with it, even in joke form😅 He's 1000% right for everybody who isn't at least a College Star Player active at the time

Scalabrine still trash. Kwame Brown is closer to some great basketball player too cuz he played over 10 years but he still trash. I'm always laughing at people acting like that was some kind of philosophical thing for Scalabrine to say at the end of the day there's always big tall guys who sit on the bench a lot because they're big and tall it's always went on in the NBA and it's not going to stop.
@YeeSoest

@@ramsesstafford4640 Trash in NBA terms, sure, but an entirely new level of legend as soon as he steps on YOUR homecourt for example. I don't mean Scal coming to your hometown, I mean a guy with his skillset but NO name would be considered the local GOAT! There's thousands of healthy 7 footers reaching NBA age each year and about 7 of them make the NBA. It's not just size, sorry. It's not JUST pro Basketball, you'd be right if we were talking some lower league somewhere but this is the Champions League of Basketball and nobody is trash there. It's not something philosophical, it's just something easy to memorize and grasp but still SO hard to admit for many amateurs.

@@YeeSoest yet my point is still being made. Nobody Spud Webb, Earl Boykins or Nate Robinson's height stays in the NBA for 10 years that don't ever really play yet there's always somebody 6'10" and taller riding pine I never said they don't have a skill set. Regards on what you think you're just proving my point. 🤣
Playing every single game straight from 1986 to 2001 is absolutely mental. What an achievement.
I saw Jordan's final years and LeBron's entire career. I witnessed Linsanity and caught myself wondering if Jason Williams could do a chest pass. But Andre Ingram... for some reason I saw that game live on TV and it was pure magic and heart and tears and goosebumps😊 That man had one shot...one opportunity...to seize everything he ever wanted...one moment...and dangit, he caught it😅

This was a phenomenal video. Thanks for giving props to the unsung warriors of the league, and for putting into perspective how special these athletes all are. If anything, I think the league is only getting more talented and physical year by year, making all the points that you've made in this video more and more accurate. Keep up the great work and I'll keep watching.

there's a clip I saw of him the other day saying when he was in Boston he would warm up every game by trying to keep Rondo in front of him while Rondo warmed up. He would never bump him or play super aggressive, but he knew if he could keep Rondo in front of him he could guard anyone in the league.
Honestly what’s sad is a lot of these guys we’re not bad at all. A lot even being super consistent. But sadly not being a start and just all around being consistent no one talks about you. They might have averaged decent stats but when you do that year after year and play with absolute legends you end up being forgotten
Jameson Curry was siiiick a.f. at OSU back in the day.. it's crazy he didn't make it. Edit: this video is one of the best bball videos I've seen in quite some time, I might have a basketball jones again. Scal challenge, Ingram's night of shine, A.C. Green quietly holding the fort down, Thad's consistency and Ariza's roughness over the years, Jeff & Ish travels and them getting a ring. The 6 degrees of separation with Green is nuts. _sooooo, I guess I’ll say something_ an interesting fact about AC’s streak… He began and ended his NBA career as a virgin bachelor. He was also known to abstain from smoking or drinking alcohol, even refusing to spray champagne for the cameras after winning championships. I think that him staying away from all those distractions helped him tremendously.

great video, those guys are the real men that the kids should look up to
jeff green and thaddeus young is part of the reason why the nba was trending to small ball lineups.
A.C. Green was one of my favorite players when I was little. Not sure why, he just was. Had his cards too. My friend used to always say people were sleeping on Thaddeus Young back in the day too.
Anyone who talks trash on an NBA player ,or even a d-league player are in serious need of a reality check. There are something like 500-600 players in the NBA each year ,compare that to the population of the world and maybe gain some perspective on how good these dudes are. Apply that same perspective to every professional sport . But,that's not to say that there aren't people out there that circumstances didn't go the way they may need to go in order to make it to the pros. Like with the guys who don't even get a shot at playing time even after making it, that doesn't necessarily mean they don't possess the talent or potential to succeed
I played high school ball on a state tourney semifinalist team. I went to an NCAA tourney making university. We were playing pick up one night in the gym early on my freshman year, when I still thought I should think about going to walk on tryouts just to see. 4 guys from the team showed up, including one of the walk ons. The walk on, who was my height, didn't miss a shot from inside 28 feet in like 2 hours. None of the guys on that team, where he was a 12th man, ever made the NBA...I played in a few corporate leagues with some former D3 guys, those guys would smoke nearly any high school player.
This might be one of the best NBA videos I have ever seen. Thank you for making this ✌🏽
I concur!
I think it’s funny that we talk about Jeff Green being in the league for so long that he was drafted by the Sonics, but Kevin Durant is also still in the league

You got to Jeff Green and made it sound like he was soooooo old for having been drafted when the Supersonics were still a team. Kevin Durant was drafted for that team, LeBron James came into the league before that, Russel Westbrook was drafted the year they relocated to OKC... they are all still in the league. Duncan, Malone, Stockton, Jordan, Kidd, Nash, Nowitzki, Ginobili all played to 40. Vince Carter was 43!
Ugh someone started cutting onions at the end of this video!
Scalabrine...im calling you out ! 😡
Excellent video. You forgot the se one face of bums -Kwame Brown (with Scalibrini being the first)
AC greens record will never be broken
I played HS basketball in Enumclaw WA the Alma Mater of Brian scalabrine and he came to practice a couple times and absolutely dunked on all of us high school kids lmaoooo. Won’t even forget it
Ish and Jeff really are inspiring 🙂
Ingram got done dirty, other G league players with stats not even close to his have had call ups. He deserved more than a make a wish style redemption arc. He should've had a stronger legacy.
Jeff Green "one of the best in game dunkers" is a stretch
Ish Smith raw.. I don't think he's been on a lot of teams because he can't ball ...I just think every team could use a guy like him.. Dude mid range is sleptnon
Jeff Green also had more dunks in this compilation than Jokic in the rest of that Playoff run😅
outstanding video, great subject and presentation !

Thought you gonna talk about NBA speedrunning with that intro music
Dam they never put A.C Green as a top SF is crazy. And you know what terrible about Phoenix Suns coach Frank V. He didn't even play Thaddeus Young in playoffs he was just chilling and sports media say the was to small had bol and Thaddeus Young.
I liked when Ariza was on the team. Good dude.
Andre Ingram has a funny looking shot. That's almost certainly why it took so long for him to get into an NBA game. It's obviously effective, and it shouldn't matter if it doesn't look "right", but i bet it did matter to NBA execs. If he didn't work out they'd have to answer to someone saying "what did you expect, his shot is funny looking"
