Paducah Home Theater TV

Paducah Home Theater TV

Paducah Home Theater was created out of a passion for all things audio
What started as a mission to bring the excitement of home theater to the immediate western Kentucky area has taken a life of it's own, with a much broader reach.
This growth doesn't negate the personal touch though. The industry is full of salespeople who aren't passionate to put it nicely, who have misled ideas about audio science, who are more concerned about their commission than about helping you, who can't answer the hard questions, and who have limited first hand experience with the nicer items. We strive to be different.
As a way to take this service to the next level, we have created this KZread channel devoted to helping customers better understand these products. We want to assist and inform in any way possible so please, ask questions, tell us about your systems, and let us know what you think of the videos/channel as a whole!
We're here for you and want to customize this to fit your needs!

To my ears either the version 3 or the version 4 virtually sound the exact same Because when your processing the sound for more extended and deeper Bass softer mid-range is in softer hand tweet...😅 In all virtually depends on how your processing and what your ears hear. And when it comes down to the cost search out the least expensive of the two. If you're lucky enough to find a pair of the f o r t e version 3.😅 New in the box never used by anybody for any reason and not refurbished what would be referred to as full warranty grade A speakers... That should be your choice.. bought two pair of the V3.. it's an upgrade to my klf 30 Two pair of those as well and they're still present in the basement pounding the concrete all day long. When it comes to the heritage series of Klipsch speakers.. it can truly be said that the forte IS THE ABSOLUTE SWEET SPOT OF THE HERITAGE SERIES SPEAKERS.. YOU WANT TO HEAR AN ALBUM THROUGH THE KLIPSCH 4K SERIES THAT WILL TELL YOU EXACTLY WHAT THE SPEAKERS ARE CAPABLE OF?? FIND A COPY OF JOE WALSH'S JAMES GANG RIDES AGAIN,""😅 TITLED ALBUM AND PLAY A LITTLE TUNE CALLED ," WOMAN"AND THEN FEED THE BEAST WHAT'S AN AMPLIFIER.. AND YOU WILL KNOW AND SMILE...

I guess this is what happens when you audition speakers over KZread. The 3's are nothing like the 4's. The 3's are significantly brighter and harsher plus the upper punchy bass just isn't the same. Biggest problem was that they were trying to hit a certain budget with the crossover. They did update the squawker driver and tweeter horn to smooth things out but the crossover now is like twice as complex and it's extremely easy to hear the difference. At some point at least spring for the Forte 3 to 4 upgrade kit and thank me later. -- Cory

@@PaducahHomeTheaterTV I understand exactly what you're saying but here's the thing in today's economy it's all about the money... I'm just obtained two pair of the version 3 new in the box never used produced inbox by clips about 6 months before the version 4 was released .. and I got those two complete pair new in the box we're less than 3,800 delivered.. it's kind of like buying one pair get the second pair free that'll never happen with the version 4.. and anyone will have a very hard time finding the version 3 new in the box.. people are keeping their versions 3 because they love them More version 4 are being sold used then the version 3 ever had.. go to wonder why that is.. version 3 is very hard to find.. version 4 is ubiquitously everywhere. And everyone is asking the same price for them no matter what.. either 5,400 new shipt..3800 used.. no one is asking less Got to wonder why everybody wants to sell their used forte fours.. but not their used for a 3.. a legitimate answer is necessary thanks

Best comparison review and breakdown I have herd. Thank you so much! Awesome job for no script!!! I'm a previous corner horn owner from early 80s. If you really want to hear the base tighten up and feel you pant legs move back and forth, place them in some brick wall corners. What a difference a solid corner makes. They had built some wooden sand filled corners for them in the show room in Seattle, but the brick wall was even better.

@PaducahHomeTheaterTV fair points you make.. a 500$ Peavy PA isn't the end all of a good system and far too often musicians are using poorly matched venue gear or underpowered personally owned gear. Thankfully I am a trumpet player and make my own hot air... I currently have klipsch kp500 fronts 504c center, a very easy-on-the-ears system; not perfect. I'm thinking of going to klipsch forte 2-4

My first pair of speakers were Fortes that I purchased right out of high school in the early 80s. When I bought them I heard a set of Khorns and fell in love. Could never afford them but always remembered them. In the early 2000s I started hanging out on the Klipsch forums and started seeing people talking about building their own Khorns so for about 3 years I gathered plans, educated myself, collected every photo I could find, got all the drivers, built the crossovers and even built the speakers in a CAD program. I finally built them for real in 2011 I think it was and they turned out fantastic. I posted a whole thread on the forum with the process and pictures. I still listen to them regularly and use the Fortes as surrounds in an AV setup. Klipsch fan for life.

I have experimented with my Khorns using a minidsp4x10 for correcting the phase problem because the bass mid and treble have to travel different distances due to the throat length of the different horns. I kept the crossover points and slope of the original crossovers but I dialed in the delay times for the mids and bass bins. The image snaps into focus so well that it makes the hair on my ams stand up. A friend with Apogee Divas could not believe he was listening to Klipschorns. I am using four McIntosh Mc30 and two Mc275 bridged. Another friend that is a concert pianist stopped by while I was playing a BluRay disc of Martha Argerich and Daniel Barenboim in concert on a 12' screen and he was floored by the sound. Not bad for a speaker that was designed 75 years ago.

I can't believe I just typed in this part number and am seeing you again! I just found out that all Klipsch powered speakers after 2022 have bolt holes to mount to the stands. The Nines are sitting on some Edifier 25.6" stands now. They were for the fives and were fine for them, but I'm worried one of my cats is going to see the extra surface area and try to jump on top of my Nines. they never have, but I'd rather not worry about them crashing. I also like the Kanto stands a lot, but am not sure if I would need to drill the holes to bolt these up. I like the height the Nines are at, but maybe 24" will work good. Great instructional video.
