    There’s no rush to be good as a team yet. Let Lev develop more, allow him to jump right into the top4 confidently in a season or two. No reason to risk forcing him into something he’s not ready for with all of that pressure. He’s already dealing with all the Demidov talk, he doesn’t need a bad rookie season and immediate bust allegations thrown on top of that.

    Artyom Levshunov should return to Michigan State for another year. He needs to mature both mentally and physically, i.e., receive a full year of closely supervised strength training, and a year of stability and additional coaching and confidence will pay dividends in the long run.

    I’m a believer of second chances, but I don’t believe those guys should be in charge of other human beings ever again, neither in the NHL nor elsewhere. Let them be advisors and stuff like that, they really shouldn’t have people under them, IMHO. I hope they never get any new assignments in the NHL. I was so horrified and felt a deep shame when this came out, just being a fan of this franchise. Oh, and by the way, why is Kevin Cheveldayoff still working in the league? Kyle Beach is a HERO! <3

    I don’t see Korch, Nazar, reichel or slaggert making the roster on opening night. I also don’t see hall still being healthy come January. Dudes made of glass. Kurashev does not belong on the top line. The Brodie signing was dumb all around. Davidson just loves D apparently…

    Not a slime ball move at all. Stan Bowman perhaps... But Q and Mac were literally fall-guys for the NHL. The only person that deserved permanently being banned was John McDonough.

  • @paulciavardoni8069

    The NHL announced it on July 1st trying to bury the story with the opening of free agency. That was a deliberate and slim ball decision. All four people in Hawks management let Kyle Beach down not just McDonough. They passed the buck and I’ll be shocked (although I probably shouldn’t be because we’re talking about the NHL here) if another NHL hires them.

    Totally agree. Korchinski was rushed to the NHL last season for no reason. It was totally unnecessary. He looked defeated at times towards the end of the season. He was on the ice for a lot of goals and several of those goals were directly tied to a mistake he made.

    @@paulciavardoni8069 Lev back at MSU would be ideal. Rockford wouldn’t be ideal but he would be able to hold his own, physically as he’s an early bloomer. NHL before the trade deadline at the earliest would be a travesty.

    @paulciavardoni8069Күн бұрын

    Yeah with the Blackhawks signing two veteran defensemen I think Rockford may have a crowded blue line as well. Let Levshunov go back and try to win an NCAA Championship. Makar,Power and Luke Hughes all went back for their sophomore seasons and I think it only helped them. Plus going back to college is free development for the Blackhawks. He won’t be on their payroll while getting excellent development playing NCAA hockey.

    Like most, if not all of the pick ups. Teuvo coming home, along with Bertuzzi are good ads that either should be able to handle playing with Connor, extra on the 2nd. The 4th line is basically brand new, definitely improved. Two good vets on the back to help guide the youngsters. Plus a better back up goalie. All with relatively short terms, nothing thats really going to interfer too much with the up and comers. We'll see how Nazar and Reichel's camps go. With Hall and AA hopefully back and healthy, this should be a much better product on the ice. Not saying playoff bound, but should get them out of the cellar and playing at a higher competition level than last year.

    Mikheyev, Bertuzzi, and Teuvo aren’t “old” just not 20 years old and still highly productive. The team was severely lacking leadership and accountability Martinez is still rock solid and a pit bull. Maroons a bruiser, they all have their places. Plus adding 4 guys with a cup or multiple is invaluable to our deep prospect pool. Lighten up Francis it’s a process.

    Adding two excellent 29 year old scoring forwards like Bertuzzi and Teravainen is a mess? ...and solidifying the 3rd and 4th lines is hockey hell? This is a massive upgrade over what we had last year.

  • @dparis2172

  • @fubartotale3389
    @fubartotale3389Күн бұрын

    Bertuzzi and Teravainen are solid 20 - 30 goal guys, two way forwards, and Bertuzzi is a solid net front guy, which we haven't had since Perry had to go away. We needed some veteran D men cause we didn't have any that you wanted to actually out on the ice.so all these guys are an upgrade for mostly short term. Also the league mandates a salary floor as well as a salary roof, and they are as serious as a heart attack about both. Its a hard cap and floor league. Montour and Marchessault would be looking for 6-7 year term at which time they would become a millstone around Davidson's neck trying to resign the young guys. This is the mistake that Bowman made.

    The Hawks were psychologically destroyed every time Soderblöm was in between the pipes...5-22 is not even close to acceptable. So, Bossiert was my favorite. Bertuzzi was a good signing though as long as he doesn’t pull a domi and take dumb ass penalties. We need bonafide scorers. We have yet to sign one. Bedard is the only pure scorer on this roster. Gonna be a rough couple more years until we can draft one, but KD had the chance this year and chose more role players… Demidov and Eiserman were the guys we needed.
