Salty Seattle Cyclist

Salty Seattle Cyclist

Idiocy on the road is not only dangerous, but it's incredibly annoying. SO much headache, pain, and suffering could be avoided if people simply paid attention to the basic rules of the road.
My mission is to showcase how NOT to drive, park, cycle, roll, cross the road, or otherwise commute. And have some fun along the way 😁

If you weren't already aware, Seattle has a certain...reputation for bad drivers. The geography, street layout, rapid population influx, outdated infrastructure, poorly managed roads, lack of enforcement, and the obliviousness of the average American driver all swirl together to create a micro-climate of tarmac insanity!

NO racism, sexism, or ableism will be tolerated here.
Judge people by their actions, not for who they are or what they look like.

    I'm going to be the person that says that you are literally trying to be an exact replica of ZeroEnigma and I personally believe its for the purpose of attention and fame. We are all human... With that being said that means we have faults. We aren't perfect beings in any shape, way, or form. Regardless of your exhaustive attempts of trying to prevent supposed "safety concerns" you'll never be able to properly change these people's minds. I see someone that is basically making himself look like an entitled male version of a Karen because you decide to watch someone in the same field in New York. What's even more hilarious is Seattle has arund 750,000 people living there and New York City has 8.3 million. So with ZeroEnigma's end, I see the valid concern for one's safety. He's been hit multiple times, almost avoided death for that matter, and you're making an insult of him in my opinion. With the lady that cut you off, I was agitated just like you with the action she intiated, but when you wanted to result in calling her an idiot when she seemed apologetic to you, that's where I lost respect for you.

    Thanks for what you do, as much as it seems like these people are lost causes, I still hope someone learns something from what you say. In Kirkland (and im sure many other places, this is just something I've been noticing for a while) there are some intersections with one lane and a bike lane. The city intentionally puts double white lines there so drivers don't go into the bike lane to turn right. I see people do it all the time and I really wish you were around to back me up lol.

  • @SaltySeattleCyclist
    @SaltySeattleCyclist3 күн бұрын

    @@kennoguchi5413 There is no system in place in the US for civilians to contact law enforcement to retroactively issue tickets or fines. The UK is the only place that I'm aware of that allows citizen-submitted footage to be used as means to convict unlawful drivers (watch CyclingMikey). I have been assaulted multiple times by people, and nothing has ever come of it even after calling and submitting video evidence to local police departments. I have ONE case where someone was actually convicted by the state, two years after it happened, and that was only after the state racked up SEVEN felony counts against this individual.
