    Capacity of a Water Softener How many gallons a softener will approximately make depends on the hardness of the water source and your water usage. That part was discontinued a few years ago. You can add add any garden hose shut offs you want on either side if you want. If your using it for washing your cars you will not get a spot free rinse and I would run something like the DI Brass Bypass kit for something like that. I'm guessing you are talking about a DI wince its car washing and the the softener. Going with a bigger unit will give you more time between service. If your stationary and plan to stay yearly, perhaps a full size house unit in a small shed like building that regens itself would be best. You just have to keep the salt reservoir full and it takes care of itself. They usually hold bags full of softener salt and need to be plugged in to 110 power so it can operate.

    Can you use this for a spot free car wash ?

  • @TheBenjamin5002001
    @TheBenjamin5002001 Жыл бұрын

    Our water softeners produce soft water, and they remove harmful minerals like calcium, magnesium, lime, and iron that make water hard. By removing these minerals, buildup in pipes, on fixtures, and in your RV water heater is eliminated. Removing these minerals also improves the taste of your water and helps eliminate odors. However, there are still some remaining minerals in your water, as water softeners do not remove all the dissolved solids from water; some of our customers use the water softener for washing because it can reduce spotting, but it will not be spot free. Finally, a softener uses simple table salt to regenerate the resin. Our deionizer (DI) systems remove all the dissolved solids and produce laboratory-grade water for a spot free rinse. The process takes out all of the solids in the water, so there is no nutritional value and the water will have a different taste and smell. DI water is also more expensive than regular water. Our deionizers use new, virgin resin and we only sell new, virgin resin. This resin cannot be regenerated like our water softeners. The total dissolved solids (TDS) and model determine around how many gallons of water your DI can produce. DI water is used in the process of making whiskey, tooling, laboratory testing, manufacturing, car/solar panel washing, and food safety testing, to name a few, as these applications need more than a simple water softener.
