This happened to me. I was looking for a specific pattern to make for a friend who recently lost their pet- found a GREAT looking picture! Free pattern, thank goodness! Bought yarn, made a piece and it didn’t look right. So I was like it must be the yarn I bought, so I tried again with different yarn. But as I was making the piece again I paid attention to the pattern and realized the pattern would absolutely NEVER make the shapes they were showing. It had positive comments on it!! 😮 Edited to add- that granny on a motorcycle is a total mood and I wanna be her when I grow up 😂😂

I learned to knit when I was 14 by watching videos on youtube and then I went and knitted a very pretty scarf (Brooke Nelson's Column of Leaves scarf) with the cheapest yarn I could get my teenage hands on 😂 Now I'm 28 and just purchased a crochet kit for the sake of making cute plushies, so here I am back to my old teacher, ✨youtube✨

Perhaps you should contact the producers of the Woobles kits and let them know of your experience and findings. Maybe they would consider upgrading the quality of the hooks they provide in the kits. JMO. Thank you for doing this review of the Woobles kits.

I've never bothered paying attention. Mostly i just check its double knit and its acrylic. Ive made several jumpers and cardigans now but the first one took me 7 or 8 tries of getting so far and starting again. I have no idea if my gauge is right but the last 2 items i made came out perfect. Everything I've learned has been through watching toutube videos and then i have a go🤷‍♀️🤣

I know you said in another video that you prefer sinkers. I couldn't remember where you buy your eyes, so I found them from a couple different sources-Temu and a reputable Etsy shop. Both look really nice, but they do not attach well to plush projects (6-Yarn Art/Dolce for both projects). Do you have the same problem? I had to superglue this second set and I'm afraid the first set is going to pop off.

I loved this video, so many interesting points! So true how everyone builds their business differently. Mine is influenced by my former work as a digital media teacher and the years of living in various countries as well as by the fact that I'm 2 years off my lowest retirement time! Will be both on a pension and continue to work. As for community, I'm glad to be part of a very active online group of European/UK crochet business owners. Although I would love to be in a group of more crochet youtubers as well because that is my clear number one. So glad that the conference gave you renewed excitement about your business! 😊 Oh, and I LOVE the gingham dress you had on one of the days! 🤩
