I keep watching this because I’ve been want to got there for a long time, & because of your video showing the “side door” into the water I found out that it’s extremely wheelchair accessible!!! The door is there so their special wheelchairs can get into the lagoon! They have wheelchairs for you to switch into that can go in the lagoon. When I looked it up, they have disabled & wheelchair accessible options for every step of the way! 🥲 I’m so excited to go once I save up some money!!!

Hi Safiya, I'm into lolita fashion and have friends closely associated with the Angelic Pretty brand, a Japanese fashion brand which has a store in SF, and I shop there. This has been a problem for Japanese brands for at least 15 years that I know of. First of all, it is absolutely legal to copy a dress design. There really aren't that many dress variations. On the other hand, if you design your own branded prints with copyrighted art, as AP and Baby the Stars Shine Bright (BTSSB) do, among others, that is illegal. The problem is, of course, good luck getting anyone to do anything about it. I have a corseted sundress that is a 2004 Kidsyoyo (Chinese brand) version of a Baby the Stars Shine Bright (Japanese brand) corseted sundress or jumperskirt. I don't really consider it a true "knockoff" because while the top is very similar to the original and there is an accessory that was copied, the skirt is completely different. The shape is very similar to these dresses, except there is no drawstring, the straps are wider, and the skirt is fuller with no slit. I love this dress. The fabric is thin cotton muslin and I had to remove the boning as the fabric aged, but it was crap boning anyway. I've sewn it back together at least once. This dress was sold on a Chinese site that used their own photos of the actual dress, so not a scam, but even then, there were mostly Chinese sites that would copy lolita dresses and skirts--including the branded prints with the brand's name in them---and sell them using stolen brand photos, only to deliver a very different and much lower quality dress. The sad truth is that Tiktok isn't going to care anymore than eBay or Amazon does. I don't really care about cheaper versions of dress shapes that are sold with their own pictures, but people were actually selling these dresses using the original brand names on eBay. I spent hours reporting fake Japanese branded dresses to eBay 10 years ago and they did not do shit, even when the brands' prints were copied. However, the fact that they are using other content creators' videos without their consent is actionable. They'd have to sue to get a judgement, but they could probably file a DMCA request to get the videos taken down, Japanese companies could probably do that with their photos but it's too much trouble internationally. House of CB might be able to, though. I was initially thinking the original would be Selkie, which is another brand that does a lot of corseted dresses. It is possible to find nice things on AliExpress---but you have to know which "shops" sell legitimate items from real Chinese brands. I wouldn't buy anything from that site that was supposed to be a Japanese or American brand, I've seen a lot of obvious fakes...but they, and some of the Japanese Rakuten sites, and the Amazon sellers are mostly all buying products from Taobao, a Chinese sellers platform a lot like eBay, and sending them to the US. If you know what you are looking at it can be easier to get heavy items from Chinese brands like shoes from AliExpress because a taobao agent will charge a lot more. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it, but I have managed to get authentic Chinese brand lolita shoes and an authentic Chinese brand thylacine plush. Shein, Temu, and Wish are also selling a lot of taobao items, and most of the items with unpronounceable brand names on Amazon and EBay also come from taobao. Taobao is owned by the same group that owns AliBaba and AliExpress. I was super appalled by the lack of actual corset laces OR shirring. A lot of knockoffs of corseted dresses use shirring in the back to get a similar effect. Shirring does not reshape the body (but neither does plastic boning, at least not for long) but it does pull the front of the dress flat tight to the bust and suck in the back. Both of these styles were originally started 20 years ago by the lolita fashion brands in Japan. Generally in the lolita style you will wear a blouse under the dress, but you can also wear the dresses as sundresses. No laces and no shirring is amazingly lame!
