    I get gold prospecting on Lake superior is just a hobby with very little return. But if you did rock hounding for Agates and Other precious stones, you would have much better returns and possibly make a decent profit for your work. The lake superior shoreline is loaded with them.

    Deep cycle batteries are a waste of money. They only last about 3 years. Lithium iron phosphate batteries last 20 years or more. And you can use all the power without hurting them.

    Why the jet dry

  • @SilverSleuth
    @SilverSleuth5 ай бұрын

    Flour gold will float. The jet dry breaks down the elasticity of the water so the gold will not float.

    Is that what yall call flour gold.. that's pickers compared to Louisiana you better get your jewelers loop out for what im finding in my creeks.. Also I need to try a high banker setup.. water here is cloudy knee to thigh high low speed and always trys to float my a52 away.. the only way I not the creeks here is enter at a bridge and stay within the banks can't get out of creek channel.

    None of the spots I work for gold are close to where I park my vehicle. I carry the sluice and my other gear a distance. It gets heavy after carrying it and the rest of my gear. All of the gold in Michigan except for a couple of places is all flour gold. I’m going back to classifying my material before I run it through. I will be trying some dream mat I picked up over the winter.

    Along the northern part of the Upper Peninsula along Lake Superior shore the black sands are being pushed out into the lake from the rivers and creeks the black sand makes it out about 50 feet then with the winds pushing south east the black sands get pushed up on the beach. If it was aloud and you could use a dredge you could get a lot of gold but they are not aloud to be used. Take a look at google maps and go east from grand Marais, Michigan

    YOUR BREAKING THE LAW!!!! Says the Michigan DNR… I sure hope you have a permit to use this sluice in Michigan because it is illegal here . Permits are issued from July to August ONLY… panning ONLY is fine year round for recreational hunter’s on most rivers creeks and streams but check your local laws and regulations save yourself a huge ticket, it’s to protect our rivers and Fish… Google using a sluice in Michigan to find out more…

    what if a feller were to classify say 500 gallons of sand how much gold would that be?

  • @SilverSleuth

    @@SilverSleuth That is terrible! Sorry to hear that. I have an alarm system that is on wifi and sends alerts to my phone. My cameras do the same. Amazon has blink cameras cheap which do that. And you get alerts if your camera goes offline which tells you if someone is messing with your wifi or power. Nasty neighbors led me to this myself.

    Hey buddy thanks for the great video now that it's been some time I would like to hear your opinion on how it performs versus the original a52, besides the legs how do you find the upgrade, I have an a52 and am wanting to either add a highbanker/dredge hopper set up or purchase the new kt10 trommel but am unsure if I want to do the conversion as I may just add another 3ft section of sluice to the lower end of my a52 and use various gold hog matting or miracle mat for anything the 52 is missing thanks for your info and looking forward to a response.

  • @SilverSleuth

    @Yukon Nate. Thanks for the reply. I walk a ways when I pack my sluice in and out. Everything I carry is weight. The more weight I carry the more work it is for me. Most of the time, I do not have enough water flow for it to work effectively. I live in Michigan and most of the gold I find is flour gold. I have have been classifying my material and using it without the super sluice upgrade. I still use the adjustable legs but they also added weight.
