im junking my 2000 4 door RUST JUNK,,just picked up a 2001 4 dr. in ct. thats pretty much rust free....working on cleaning up the cooling sysyem,,and switching over the plow...its only june..lol
I use a Glass Media Sandblaster to clean aluminum, like heat sinks. Do you think this is good for Conformal Coating or aluminum corrosion? If I can make this cleaning a passive process, I can increase my productivity doing other things, and save money on glass media
Anybody got some advice for me; I am looking at a 2004 ZR2 that has only seen 2 MN winters (very nice body and frame rust-wise) but has 211k on it and the guy wants $3500 for it. He says runs and drives great and there is "no reason you won't like it." What do you guys think? Anything in particular I should look for with a Blazer that has that many miles? Thanks!
Watching the series brought me back to the example I bought new in 2002 which stickered for just under $32k. At around 105k miles in 2009 I had many of the more "minor" problems, but the body rusting out was the biggest issue. At the time the thing was really not worth much, and certainly not as much as I got for it under the Cash For Clunkers program. Of course I always had an S-series Blazers since my first car, which was a 87, and do still miss having one.
Anybody with that kind of blazer I have a set of headlights halo ring I just want them to go to somebody that is going to use them they are spyder brand let them go for a cheap price
I've been watching your videos for 2 year's, I have the same blazer. My truck will start 16 times in a night while delivering pizza, then the next day no crank no start for 2, 3 or sometimes 5 or 6 days. Then it self repairs and it work for a day or two sometimes. I've changed the starter, ignition switch, and safety neutral switch. The truck has 270k miles on it maybe it's in the computer?
Came for the update, stayed for the Rhymesayers t-shirt!
Que paso con este auto, lo acabaste??
Material used (green plastic) is for aluminum not steel. kzread.info/dash/bejne/dIR1zrt_mKXOpMY.html&ab_channel=C%26MTopline
Black fluid film for the under side. Love that stuff.
This channel is a lot of fun
Cool stuff man 😊keep it up
Amazing work. Did you end up running this car with the original closed drive/torque tube setup? or did you switch to open drive? I hear stuff about the fluid draining from the diff into the transmission when lowering these cars. Not sure if it matters, thanks.
It says 110 but I'm not really trusting that
This is great but..I'd like to see ya actually connect voltage to this pump while in your hand to see it work..I'd actually luke to know what the exact voltage I need to test my pump, I'd rather do it that way to see it either work good or not at all without an ohm meter or replacing it only to find its something else
Thank you for much for this video! The circuit board on my mower that shows the battery strength seems to be dead, so I was a tad worried until I plugged the batteries back into the mower. I also found kzread.info/dash/bejne/i6ik0Mp6ctabZKQ.html useful because at 2:10 he shows you where that stupid black pin that falls out belongs. 👍
If you used some grit in there it would be even better and use ceramic triangles
You probably replaced some things that may have not needed it, and just focus on what required to be fixed. And using top quality factory fluids and lubricants. If you are keeping this vehicle, it was money well spent. Your bought a pre- GM bankrupt Blazer which is likely better than newer 4x4's just my opinion. A neighbor near me in the SW has one 2000 Blazer sitting in her driveway she inherited. No rust. I have my eye on it. It has the rear gate spare BFGoodrich tires, and factory alum fancy wheels. The 2000 Blazer is RARE, was owned by a elderly woman..... I think lots of relays on these. I have a 1990 4Runner 5spd with 310K miles. no rust
2024 and you're still solving people's problems. This was the exact issue I was having, and nearly the same Whirlpool model. The bearings and heat shrink tubing trick worked perfectly.
Esse problema cronico do fiat 500 ele para de funcionar o veículo
How close to a c1 vette box is it.
when did woody allen start doing youtube?
I think it was easier to grind the outside of the bearing to a point where it would fit firmly in place, just to avoid destroying the inner seat of pump body.
Love my "old" lawnmower which had the battery pack replaced already back in 2012. Called round to Black and Decker repair shops and B&D direct but no one would fix as they no longer back this model. Found this video, bought a 3-pack from Mighty Max Batteries for $79.99 (price seems to have gone up a little) and did the battery swap out with your video as a guide and no need to cut the plastic. Bob's your uncle and she's as good as new. These old machine's will run forever if they are given a little TLC and we as consumers are not swayed into believing into out with the old and in with the new!
So the left and right light 5 pin connectors are flip flopped pin wise?
This has got to be the best tutorial on this issue.
Thanks for the video!!!
I have another dilemma, where the unit with inserted safety key was melted and stuck (looks like it was overheating issue). Anybody knows how to replace the unit?
Good job
I know this is an 11ish month old video at this point, but the reason why the back end looks sagged is because it is. For some unknown reason the ZR2s have weaker springs than the other Blazers. The ZR2 has 1100lb springs, base model has 1300lb, and the heavy duty (Z85 RPO I think) springs are 1400lb springs. I just happen to have found that out recently when I was looking for new springs for my 96 Blazer a couple weeks ago.
That media is HUGE. I can't believe you got such good results. I would like to see what you get if you used play sand!
Thanks!!
Thank you, this solved my problem perfectly! However, when I was working on it, I managed to break a wire inside the housing. Any suggestions of where I might get a replacement?
I loved my blazer, but towards the end, it nickel and dimed me. Paid 7200 for it from a dealer in 2013. I invested a good 3k making it look amazing. But I eventually sold it for.....a 2017 equinox midnight edition
we have 2 s10s and an astro- from 95 up these car had way too much f..in electronics and sensors to fail- when they work theyre great- but if not sometimes takes you month to find out whats wrong :-/ - my goal is a 70/80s blazer or c10 for summer- just simple mechanic ;-)
This guy is so far left he was born on Reddit 😭
Mine was great. Unfortunately it nickel and dimed me. The motor mounts had to be replaced, the abs never worked, and was offered 1k to replace it, the timing chain replaced, and bedore i sold it, the tranny began to slip even though i mainatined the fluids
Any update on the blazer?!?!?!😮
Beta male that finds our constitutional rights to be weird.

I’m impressed with your effort.
well done, thanks!
You could contact Wirlpool and explain maybe what you've done
2:46 Why is the inside so dirty!! I have a similar problem here with a different, simpler Whirlpool pump. But, grit returns within a week and stalls the motor. Next time I take it apart I will check the bushing.
Good job, but have one question - where Is the tail fog light ??
If you don't like why bye it
My pump is out turned on no water funny smell cut off immediately
The value of these is for weird shaped parts not easily wire brushed. I also often run mine for days with mild media to get a nice polish. I also do mine dry so no mess. Walnut shells as media.
Perfect, but please wear gloves
Need to find these parts
