The new color really sets off the old hardware. Awesome!
Love it!
Color is wonderful MCM look. 😊
Obsessed!!!!
Love the color!
NO! It is one of the new colors for this year. Legs need to be darker for weight on the bottom. Fabulous piece!!
I love these videos but don't know a lot about furniture... can someone explain why if theres wood under the veneer, why can't you just work with that wood instead of putting new veneer over it 🤔
At first i thought the snake was the leg 😂 that would be a really cool idea though!
A Robin egg blue would have been nice for the porch as a iced tea and treats serving cart
I love it!!!
BEAUTIFUL!!! $600.00 is not enough!!!
I always like to have the piece restored, if possible, but sometimes they're just too chewed up. This actually came out looking fantastic even tho it's painted. And no more landfill!
What?!! Love it❤
Good idea bringing the hardware with you when picking paint!
You did great. I just hate the color orange.
It’s perfect!
😆 🤣 😂 those sweet S's though! My last name started with an S and as a teenager I drew those on everything I had!!
Perfect
OH MY GOSH! I love your T-shirt 😂
super cute! i wish the door had some bright blue or green to make the carved detail pop but thats more a me thing than anything else! would love to know why the last owner’s repairs were so extreme lol
I would have loved to see what the top and decorative pieces on the side would have look like with a cooler stail on them. You did a gorgepus job as always😊😊😊😊 thank you for sharing with us❤😊
Love it!
i always wonder how the furniture touch up paint hold up over time. How does it fade compared to the wood ? Does it get more visible over time?
I absolutely love it!!
I like the color. Good job!
Hmm, interesting finish. It's not my fave but a nice change to an old piece.
Want to paint my dressers A dark, dark brown ???????????
Right choice, beautiful as it retains a wood like aura but with a modern touch. Nice job!
Brilliant Katie! Greeting from a fan in the UK
Nicely done. My color of choice would have been a green.
Is it not eco friendly or something?
Is what eco friendly???
@@salvagedbykscott the wood veneer, it's a meme. Related to the galvanized square steel and screws borrowed from your aunt you may have heard about.
You turned this dresser into one of those pieces that I would see in a store and immediately want for my own; it wouldn't go with anything I have, but I would yearn to bring it home! 😍
So beautiful ❤
What did you end up putting on underneath instead of the casters?
I've seen some similar bright color furniture in some hotels and furniture shops lately. so I think your choice of color was appropriate.😊
As you say, some pieces are so wrecked and may not have lovely wood anyway... what you've done is so beautiful.
Beautiful grain on this little piece. Love the new finish. Great job!
Is the veneer eco friendly?
I mean…it’s wood…so I guess 🤷🏻♀️
@@salvagedbykscott how did you not get it?
Thank you for showcasing the wood.
I'm with you on the table saw, Katie! I'm too easily distracted and can only imagine how ungodly FAST a finger could part company from the hand it had been attached to. I'll pull nails, scrub and sand for hours... just don't make me use anything that needs its own table and has all those sharp spinning teeth!
I have that exact 1930s dresser. I think it looks great! I probably would have gotten rid of the mirror.
Satisfaction
Love stain
You did a great job, but sorry, I've spent my life stripping painted furniture and getting that natural look.:)
Georgous
I think a Chinese red lacquer look would be nice. I'd love to see you try that on a future piece.
Love, love, love! 💛
I agree with the other comment, this does look so satisfying to try! I never knew this was possible, thanks Katie ❤
Super satisfying vid. Nice job 💯
Glad you enjoyed!
Gorgeous ❤
