I will never understand the double knobs, but proud of that person for trying to makeover these nightstands. We all have to start somewhere. Love how you transformed these!

When you can’t find a single knob that fits the holes.

I always chuckle when I see 2 knobs used like this. How hard is a trip to Home Depot or Walmart for normal sized pulls? They can be so inexpensive!

@@aok2727 I remember my first furniture project with handles. The holes weren't the standard space and there was no KZread, or HGTV to show me that I could fill the holes and drill new ones. I just had to reuse the original ones.
Well done you, on not berating the previous owners of those drawers, it always gets my back up when people that are in the know on looking after furniture, rip apart somebody else's hard work, and by the way they look fab as always :P
i too appreciate your respect for the former owner's hard work and creative problem solving. one person's solution might not be another's, but we all start at zero and grow from there. no need for shade ever. your finish here turned out beautifully!!! what a fresh new look for this pair!! thanks for sharing your talent and kindness. the world needs more katies in it 💗
Wouldn't it be funny if in five or ten years you found them in a thrift store and bought them to refinish again? I'd love that - simply for the fact that you could extend their lives even further! This is a great tutorial, and I love how they turned out.
Great job, as usual. And who knew they make adjustable handles? What a wonderful world we live in!
The double knob "handles" drive me bananas too! 😆
Katie you are so dang good at this! Congratulations on how far the channel has come, and your skills. I totally love your content - especially that the structure hasn’t changed too much. The pacing is perfect, and it’s also really calming to watch.
Katie, you have an enviable shop---- all the right tools. You really know what you are doing. Everything you tackle turns out great. Terrific work.
Finally a complete explanation of how to do this!! Many thanks!!
Katie, your videos are peaceful and positive, and they make me happy to watch.
Wow!!! I'm amazed at how good your simple faux wood grain treatment looks. I think these will be snapped up in a heartbeat.
They are gorgeous....it looks like real wood grain. You have a lot of patience and an artistic eye. Love all your work! I'm impressed 😍
Very nice! Your woodgrain is spot on, Katie.
What an amazing transformation, Katie. They would look lovely in any home now.
What a beautiful transformation! Those adjustable knobs are quite interesting. Something new to investigate.
WOW!!! Fabulous job on the faux wood!!❤
Katie, you really do have the magic touch!!!
As always, a beautifully redone set! You have inspired me to try this on a piece I redid many years ago.
They look fabulous! I love how gracious you were about the previous painter's beginner mistakes. You're a great soul!
Your talent is amazing. they look great
I didn’t know adjustable width handles existed. Those are really clever
Wow…they don’t even look like the original! They are gorgeous Katie! 🥰🥰
These came out GORGEOUS! 💚
That Admiral navy, double-breasted knob situation was crazy. Your transformation is beautiful and this new look will probably be used for years and years. Good on you, Katie! Retique It always astounds me. So glad you used it here.
They turned out beautifully! I love doing faux finishes and then watching the reaction of other people! I learned from you a different technique. Thank you for sharing 💖💖💖
Excellent job, Katie!! 🎉
Turned out beautifully!
I had to watch the end part twice because I couldn't believe it looked like a Woodgreen. Wish I could do that. I know you made it look so easy, but that's because you are good at what you do. Sue from Australia
GOALS! 🔥We learn so much from watching you. Thank you for always sharing all the details. You are such a talent!!
How wonderful! A great treatment! Thank you for sharing your process!
Beautiful as always
They turned out lovely!!
What an improvement!
Thank you, Katie for the drawer trick. I have a night table whose top drawer refuses to come out! I'll try your advice tomorrow.
Beautiful and amazing job on these. Love to faux wood look and really does look like wood grain.
Had a little chuckle over the pottery barn name for the comp nightstands, we live about an hour from Toulouse in SWFrance. I remember this technique from late 70s but love how yours look. Subtle, which previous incarnations were not, in my house anyway! Well done Katy. Those awful double knobs are history .👏👏
Whenever I see this technique it takes me back to the early seventies when my mom went on an "antiquing" rampage throughout the house. This looks much better. Well done!
Beautiful redo...as always! ❤
Lovely job Katie.
You are the BEST!
These look amazing! Bravo!
Beautiful transformation, and tutorial
They look amazing!
These turned out beautiful, Katie. Thanks for giving the previous owners props for the work they did. ❤

Lovely finish! Adjustable handles = game changer. Thank you for sharing that tip Katie!
Love it, as usual! I especially like you showing how to replace pulls that fit the furniture. Great tips, and respectful as always.
Beautiful, as always i like your positive approach to all your work and appreciating the previous owner however bad it was. Very good attitude.
Thanks, Katie. I really learned a lot about the process and alternative materials. I want to use that finish on a coffee table for our shared cottage and an old rocking chair. Thanks again for your clear instructions.
These turned out so dreamy! Thanks for sharing all of your tips and tricks with us!
You did a great job ❤
Beautiful!!!
Wow this looks beautiful. 😍😍
Awesome! Great work!
You are so good at choosing hardware. And, you're a genius at color/finish choices. It is fantastic that these two end tables are on their second reincarnation. Someone is going to snap them up.
So freakin talented doing the faux wood grain. The adjusta pulls are pretty cool. Hoping all is well Katie, Dirty Jersey out!!!
Never saw those adjustable drawer slides before...I certainly will be checking them out - LOVE them!!! Awesome job!!!
Looks great!
Thank you for addressing and showing details of how to handle the vertical & horizontal sections. Most videos I’ve seen haven’t shown this. Love your videos & projects!
absolutely gorgeous. well done!!
Wow... what a difference!! They look great.
BEAUTIFUL job!! I'm super impressed with the all new look!!
I started refinishing doing so many things differently then now but jumping in & doing is what is more important. I was happy you showed the same steps on all sides of the side table, while that may seem redundant to some, I found it answered a lot of questions for me. Thanks love the finish!
They turned out great! You did a really good job on those.
Great job!!!!!
That blue was very nice. Albeit not applied right, but nice.
Very interesting technique!
Beautiful work
I have seen this faux wood finish done once before. I was in the U. S. Navy on a ship the Captain's cabin two walls full of built in closets, lockers, and cabinets all of metal. While in the shipyard in 1971 someone came in and painted them all to look like wood. I was impressed, but I never (knowingly) saw anything like it again until watching this video.
Oops, she did it again!! 😍
As always Katie chefs kiss❤
Wow, these look amazing!
Wow! Did it like a pro. They look fantastic. I’m really impressed at your work. You’re really good at what you do. They are awesome looking. ♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟
Gorgeous! What a pretty transformation. I love the tip on the adjustable handles. Your techniques are so educational and inspiring!
NICE, KATIE!!!
Katie you have gotten this technique down to perfect. They look great.🤍🤎🤍
so relaxing to actually watch paint dry. I love the faux finish wood look. So well done.
Perfection!!!
Really great makeover and what a great pull solution!
WOW! What a difference! Lovely.
Holy cow! They are gorgeous!
Another lovely project Bu well done as a former interior designer you are one of the craftsman I would have been more than happy to recommend to clients very well done dear. Congratulations.
Wow these bedside tables (as we’d call them here in the UK) turned out beautifully. I’d never have the patience to do this makeover and you have made such a great job of them. I just loved watching the whole process.
Beautiful job! I have a tip to share. I use the bubble packaging I get from Amazon to put my brush in between coats. When I get a string of them from an Amazon, I trim off one side. Which creates a pocket for my paint brush. I then stuff them in an empty Kleenex box for easy access. I love you channel and have learned a lot thru you! Thank you!

Omg this is brilliant and so resourceful! My family makes fun of how much Amazon shipping material I have hoarded in my garage but it just seems so wasteful to trash it. Your idea for the plastic stuffing is great so thanks for sharing!
Beautiful
These look great Katie, such a great product to get the faux wood look 🤩👏😍
ah-mazing! love that look! It is a quick seller for me! great job as always!
