We used to buy butternut squash. No more (thanks to you, Jaclyn!)! Seminole pumpkins for the win and serious $$ savings!! And so tasty!
I did do this around 3 weeks ago and it has resulted in really good growth/a lot more foliage than before but I'm not seeing any fruits! Does this only work for certain varieties?
Looks much nicer.
Whenever I do cuttings and they start budding, they grow fruits instantly with those buds, so it basically takes no time for it to fruit lol obviously, the cuttings MUST be from an already adult tree that is known to bare fruit.
How many inches from the house did you plant the original plant? Thanks!
If I don't have a composter, what could I feed it?
They have sheer bags you can tie over the seed heads and then, they drop into the bag when they are ready. I have not done it yet but want too!
I would like to have a list of the wildflowers that you are mentioning.
It may be Pokeweed or American Nightshade. Neither ones that you want!! I use "Picture This" for plant identification and love it.
When is your 2025 Planner coming out? It is so pretty and organized.
The planner will be on Pre-Sale in August and will ship by November 1st.
So glad to see you collecting the seeds!! Hurray! Always fun to watch your Gardening videos. Thank you!
I found your channel by accident and can't wait to get into gardening again. I think I am going to start in the fall but, have really enjoyed watching your videos. I just ordered your book and can't wait to get it.
I’m going this summer we hitting the beaches and Everglades 🐊
Such a cutie
Very interesting. A FLORIDA COTTAGE GARDEN!!! Did not think it was possible? LOL. Good job! Will watch to see how it goes. I have found that a Woodland Garden is easier. I use wood limbs as borders and then, the bugs and bees use them.
Would love to see a video about a guide on how you plan switching out crops for the seasons! When are you planning on dropping a 2025 planner?
We grow Sisoo spinach in zone 10A..It grows year round and loves semi shade
Have you ever had issues with rabbits? I have my veggie garden back in a fenced yard and something has been chomping on my veggies when they get close to ripening. I noticed a little dug out spot in my fence line too.
Ha, ha, ha, I decided to be adventurous and picked up a pack of tomatillo seeds a little while back. Now they are growing like crazy and I have no idea what to use them for. I suppose I’ll figure it out but as of now, kinda funny. 0:06
i have come to realize each of your new videos takes me an entire day to watch, because each new idea, i hit pause, and run out and do something! 😹
Pepers have been good this season
My egg plants are doing great and ready to pick right now. 6/14
I just read a scientific article that debunked all this. Our climate is changing and we need to help the Monarchs. If you google "tropical milkweed is not harmful to monarchs" the article is the first result. READ IT! I just got my hands on some tropical milkweed seeds! yay!
Do banana trees strive good in plenty sun or plenty shade?
California Wonder don’t do well for me either here in Clearwater. Try Charleston Belle, a sweet pepper from Southern Exposure Seed. They are smaller but I’ve had good success with them. I started from seed in the fall, overwintered them this year, and pruned them back in early spring. I covered with shade cloth when the temps hit the 90’s. They are still putting on fruit and rocking it this year!
I think you should plant some big tall fruit trees to give yourself some privacy and that way you have your inner garden with vegetables
We are also taking a break this simmer besides doing our main hot crops - pumpkins/sweet potatoes. Everything is looking so good! What are the plans for that food forest have been wondering what yalls next project gonna be
Guilty, pruners dirty and dull. Time to sharpen!
If you save seed from your fruit and vegetables, you won't have to spend money on that
Just trying to care for my not even installed yet butterfly garden plants is so much work. Lol I’m trying to plan for when the weather gets better.
I'm so tired of spending so much time on watering. I'll be glad when we start getting some more rain. Then I'll take my break before the fall here in Florida.
Drip irrigation is a go to for me in southeast louisiana. And a timer. It reduced my water bill and it saves me hours and a sore back.
@@esmysyield2023 That's a great idea, I wish I could set that up but my garden is a bit of a hodge podge of beds, buckets and grow bags. I don't think it would work. It would save me a lot of time that's for sure. Thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate the advice.
I'm definitely composting in place. One year it was rabbit manure with each cleaning. This summer will be chicken coop cleaning and dumping kitchen scraps. Thx.
I'm counting on you for my onion help! This year was better than last year from watching your onion guides and getting that fertilizer from Hoss.
Is it too early to start our seedlings inside for our fall garden? When do they get transplanted out into the garden. It's still hot in Aug, Sept, Oct? I'm new to florida and this will be my first fall garden.
I feel like this video is just for me! I had already decided to basically take the Summer off and cover crop until August. Thanks so much for this great info!
Also, the "watering tray" is called a reservoir, I think.
Have you done smoothie videos? Seems like a big part of your system.
GREAT advice as ever!! Hey everyone.. SUBSCRIBE 😊😊
Definitely saving this video and making a bullet point list for the summer work! Thanks, Jacqueline! This video is so helpful!
I planted watermelon in a raised bed. They got to be about the sides of baseball and now I’ve noticed the yellow ones have totally split in half. Am I planting them at the wrong time of the year have any suggestions
Melons and Tomatoes are super susceptible to splitting if there is too much water.
My niece gave me your Wild Floridian planner this past Christmas and it has been a GAME CHANGER. Between that and your videos I’m coming to understand why I have struggled so with classic veggies - I live in FLORIDA 😅. Please make some videos showing us your seed starting process. I have learned so much and am looking forward to starting veggie seeds at the right time for FL for the first time in 9 years! 😂
You’re reading our minds…thank you 😊
An old guy told me to start my Brussel sprouts in July
Oh, please make videos, holding our hand and telling us when we should be doing things like seedlings and things like that through the growing seasons Many of your vegetable pics, have to be done by seeds And I would hate to have to miss the window of opportunity to start them for the next season. New to growing in Florida
I've tried growing them. They seem like a hardy plant until the hungry pickleworms arrive.
I have a dwarf cavendish banana tree that have a lot of pups. Do I need to remove the pups. The plant is not quite a year old. Thanking
Looks great! It’ll be fun to fill it.
