Captain ThirdGen

Welcome to my KZread channel. This channel is a one man operation in the state of Michigan, USA. Beginning in 2015, I've made videos about the cars I mess around with on a regular basis. I make tutorials on how to do repairs, modifications, and various other car-related things. The cars featured are primarily old GM ones such as F-Body Firebirds, Camaros, and maybe even some old Buicks and trucks from time to time.

My CD changer in the trunk didn't work when I got the car. Took it to a shop that works on older stereo systems. They sent it to a repair facility in New York. It was sent back and I was told no parts available it's Obsolete.

I have a 92 Roadmaster 5.7ltr rear wheel drive, body straight clear coat peeling and white paint is faded. Interior are in good no cracking on the dash. It starts and runs good. Drove it to Home depot about 5miles away. Shut it off and when I went to start it it wouldn't start. Let it sit overnight and it starts just fine. Any suggestions any videos on the older Roadmasters. It's 31 years old and I want to use it while I pull the tranny out of my 2003 Buick Park Avenue Ultra. My Ultra has 200k miles and has been very comfortable and reliable. Plus easy to work on, which I enjoy doing my own maintenance. I spent 23 yrs in the AF worked on turbine and diesel engine driven Generators and compressors, Hydraulic test stands, and other equipment to support the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Falcon. I don't have a lot of experience on Gasoline engines.

Just tried mcbay performance off this recommendation for rear coil spacers. Now this video is a couple years old so they may have been ok back then but today, that place reeks of incompetence and all they have are really REALLY bad excuses to try to cover it up. Kind of a comical experience. Like dealing with children. But I'd recommend staying away from em. I went to strano performance. Way better and much more educated on there products than the mcbay clowns Update: i got the spacers. They came in before my strano spacers so i figured give em a try and.............THEY WEREN'T EVEN THE RIGHT PART!!!! And to put the cherry on the whole terrible experience they won't even take it back. Not even these clowns want their own trash products! 😂 The incompetence has no limit with this circus 😂 Absolutely terrible company with worse service. @@CaptainThirdGen It's such a stupid thing... That's why I'm looking for a Camaro or Charger with a 6.2 V8. Most of the muscle cars from dodge and chevrolet are directly imported and do not need any crazy modifications to be road legal here. They are a lot cheaper compared to similar spec BMW or Mercedes models. But the only downside is that the emission taxes are extremely high on US cars, and since fuel is very expensive here, it's also not cheap to drive around with an engine that has like twice the amount of fuel consumption, compared to an car like the BMW M4 haha.

@@alperen194 understandable. My Camaro does about 27-28mpg on the highway. About 20mpg in the city. Which for a US car is pretty good. My truck gets about 11mpg, so the LT1 feels pretty efficient in comparison
