  It is a White Amaryllis Alfresco treated with purple floral dye.😉 Turtorial : kzread.info/dash/bejne/qp12xbGjppTJdZM.html Mostly I buy fertilizer from local garden shop. Sometimes I use Osmocote and Miracle-Gro too.

  I had this Hippeastrum bulb for Christmas which went several problems of bulb rot. Eventually, a few parts of the bulb remained health, however it wasn’t able to grow properly. Watching this video I supposed that the problem was the basal plate. I cut it, I let it dry for a few days and boom it started to root again and now it’s thriving again!

  Amaryllis ilkbahar ve yaz aylarında oldukça hızlı büyür. Hepsi yavaş büyüyorsa önce toprağı ve ortamı kontrol edin. Sadece bir tanesi yavaş büyüyorsa, bu bireysel bir durumdur, o zaman bazal ve kökleri kontrol edebilirsiniz. 🌹

  I live in the tropics and we never undergo temperatures this low. I leave the bulbs in their pots and just put them through a period of complete dryness. When I start rewatering, they grow new leaves and then flowers - easy. They might not all bloom, but I don't care. I'm happy to get the flowers that I do. If I continue to water regularly some will still bloom in early summer, but a lot fewer.

  Thanks for sharing. I always emphasize that dormancy can help the flower buds mature, but actually it is not a must for reblooming.

  There are not many yellow Amaryllis, but yes, Amaryllis Single Yellow Star is one of them, and some unnamed hybrids appear greenish yellow.

  Stop watering in Dec and water again in Feb, then they can bloom in Spring.

  I cut the my bulbs that way in February. They never grow roots and lost them. Never cut them during cold weather. It was my lesson.😢

  You can dig it up and let it dry and wait until the weather gets warm and replant it.

  Do you mean trimming the basal plate? After trimming, the bulb won't have fresh roots anymore, but it can grow new roots as long as there's a part of the basal plate attached. Just let the bulb dry for a few hours or a day and replant it.

  6:05 I ended up with some seeds this Summer and what I don't understand is they look so paper thin like nothing is inside them. Some may have a small bump inside but most seem like a piece of thin paper only.

  I just wrote to another Viet grower on a similar problem I face. He recommended the use of B1 growth stimulant & another called Atonik to help rid the problem of repeated basal plate enlargement.
