Rice husks, as I believe many of you are familiar with, are excellent for mixing into soil as organic matter.
They are lightweight, rich in organic material, enhance soil aeration and drainage, and prevent soil compaction.
Burnt rice husk, derived from incomplete combustion of rice husks, not only shares the benefits of rice husks but also has many other uses.
I use burnt rice husks in growing amaryllis, to help the bulbs grow beefy, thus with more bulblets and blooms.
