Looks like people here seen so much propaganda from their favoured sides they can't even take unbiased video with sources shown on every step cuz they immediately call this propaganda as it doesn't immediately fit their world view I'm not sure if I should cry or laugh because of that

Can we just be real for one sec and just state the fact that women are more picky than men are and what they're looking for is the absolute best of the best to their standards which are usually too high for the average male. In other words men are willing to settle while women are looking for the <1%, but sometimes end up settling after having no luck with finding what they consider ideal.

The key for men: AVOID SWIPING RIGHT ON WOMEN WHO ARE UNLIKELY TO SWIPE RIGHT ON YOU. For height, don't swipe right for women taller than you or close to your height unless they arleady swiped right for you. For everyone, avoid swiping right on women out of your league. Sucks to say but it will get your profile the highest ELO and you will get more matches. I'm a self-reported 5'7 guy and I actually get a lot of matches on dating apps using this strategy. I don't swipe right for most tall women and women that are clearly out of my league.

I met my wife on the Coffee Meets Bagel app, and so did a lot of our couples friends. It works by limiting the number of people you can see in a day. I think back when I was using it women could literally only choose from three options per day and men had like 7. I’m surprised more apps haven’t figured this out but they probably have incentive to keep people on the app and not actually find anyone.

I’d rather die early living the life I created vs being an early bird puppet. Doing what everyone else does. BYE😂✌🏽 I absolutely HATE daytime energy. Especially living in OC California. I’m like “THERES WAAAAY TOO MANY PEOPLE OUT!!!”😠 Road rage….af Half your day is wasted because of the over population of y’all being IN MY DAMN WAY😂 y’all look like a bunch of sheep to me. In a “perfect world” Everyone has a limit to how many hours they can be outside on a weekly basis. And it’s being tracked. The moment you go over that, you’re subject to community service or jail time immediately! …so now you actually have more time to focus on your mental health/family etc AT HOME!! (& any hours you work overtime) grants you more “time off” the following week & will be paid to you that same day as a reward. But in turn the hours are deducted from the following week so you can enjoy that money you PLANNED. Forcing us all to manage our time wisely & not take people for granted🤍

The road safety one doesn't really make sense though because pedestrians don't die randomly they have to walk in front of cars so if you're just vigilant around roads then it doesn't decrease your chance of death at all since you're already completely safe

I'd be curious how the Apps adjust their algorythms to account for all of that. They want to maximize users on the app, but women getting bad experiences and men getting no experiences is likely to make them quit, not great for business, so I could see that actually correcting for some of these differences. Like a key assumption here is that every profile is just as likely as the next to be shown, which is certainly not true! It is not in the dating app's interest to match all women to 10% of men, they'd end up rejected/ghosted a lot, so I could see the apps showing men in attractiveness 50-80% being shown more than top 10%. Like you'd probably want to keep the most attractive men away from the most attractive women, to increase the chance of both segments to stay on the app longer, and engage the medium attractiveness people more. Likewise, the apps may show more less attractive men to less attractive women to get them to reduce their standards and generate more matches... The psychology behind it all is probably quite messed up, while fascinating. If you wanted to be altruistic, how to design said algorythm? Maximize matches, even if that means each individual is less happy but more people are happy? free for all, perfectly random, but that favors whoever happens to be closest to most attractive?
