    Oh my gosh Keav, you have a beautiful cat. Besides my love of detailing I am a cat daddy and I occasionally give treats to a few cats in a feral community, which is where I found my ginger fluff butt a few years ago. As for the detailing sprayers, I am most impressed with the Dpofirs sprayer.

    If you need any other ideas for more content, I'd love to see a test with rinseless washes and that hood you have. I keep hearing that rinseless washes are very lubricating and help prevent scratches and swirls, but I still don't trust them, specially when I see it used with a sponge. The buzzword I keep hearing is that it "encapsulates" the dirt, but you'd think it magically coats the grit with microscopic ppf by how some people describe it. The test I'd like to see done is getting that hood to a swirl-free finish, leaving it outside for a couple of weeks to get very dirty, and then do a rinseless wash with maybe 3-4 different products (ONR, DIY Rinseless Wash, P&S Absolute, McKee's N-914) in different sections. Then inspect for swirls and marring.

  • @CarsWithKeav
    @CarsWithKeavКүн бұрын

    Something to think about in a year when I polish off the Hydro Lite coating that is on this hood already. if you know what you are doing then you will minimize scratching with rinse less wash. In the end though anytime you touch your car you risk scratching no matter the process. Thats why I tend to just foam then rinse and then foam again and contact wash with media that is never returned to the soap bucket. Then leaf blow dry. My theory is the drying process is where the most scratching can occur so limiting that contact lowers your risk.

    Keav, thanks so much for posting these videos. And for figuring out the adapter fitting so that I can put an aftermarket hose on my Giraffe hose reel to replace the failed one. I have a wall mount setup and will replace the hose with an Uberflex (using a Ryobi 1800psi, so should be no problem). Anyway, how did you cut the hole in the hose reel to accommodate the M22? You mentioned "cutting wheel", was that on a dremel? I have an angle grinder with cutting wheels but doubt that will get in the small space. Thanks!

  • @CarsWithKeav
    @CarsWithKeav2 күн бұрын

    Ryobi hand tool that is a lot like the dremel in size. Just smaller versions of the cutting wheels you see on an angle grinder. I tried mine would not fit in there so went with the smaller tool which does take a bit longer to make the opening. 1800 Ryobi will be perfect with an Uberflex hose for sure.

    Keav, does the active 2.3 without the cage wall mounted sound better maybe quieter?

  • @CarsWithKeav
    @CarsWithKeav2 күн бұрын

    To me it seems a bit better as the reverb is less without the walls of the cage. Still loud though and I make sure I say that every time so people know to expect it and are usually surprised it isn't as bad as stated. Sound is such a subjective thing as obviously there is the decibel rating, but I'm usually 10 feet from the pressure washer and the water from the pressure gun is just as loud from that distance as the unit. It is a more pleasant hum than the squeal of most of the cheaper pressure washer such as the 2.0. The biggest thing for the 2.3 is the sound if mounted on a wall that on the side is a living area or bedroom then that could be annoying.

    Hand in the cookie jar would be implying you are being given review units or working with them on marketing. I bought all myself and don't need Matt to tell me what to review or not as my subscribers wanted me to review it and it was a highly talked about product so not reviewing it to me is just as bad. I never even talked to them until after my videos were made when they reached out about the over amping on the Duo unit. Initially the Pro was working great I never really gave it a great endorsement just that is a viable option. This video showed the issue many were having and gave the viewers a first hand look at what issue they might have and the comments as well help those decisions.

    Is there a video of you testing the 3/8 vs 1/4 with the active 2.0 and 630? debating on the lighter 1/4 hose vs 3/8 with this machine. Have the 50ft kobrajet 3/8 now and its pretty damn heavy, bend restrictor isnt helping the ergonomics of things either. Thanks.

  • @CarsWithKeav
    @CarsWithKeav2 күн бұрын

    I do not have any videos comparing anything outside of the Uberflex which I would not suggest for these machines. I have used the 40ft 1/4 wire braided hose from the active 2.3 on many pressure washers including the 630 and it works great. If I didn't have the Kevlar hose which is much lighter than a Kobrajet and close to the same weight as a steel braided 1/4 hose I would probably use a 50ft 1/4 braided hose instead. If I was working in the 100 foot range for hose length then I would stick with 3/8.

    The over selling and marketing of coatings is one of the reasons I’ve stayed away from them. The stated timeframes are just ridiculous. There’s no chance the 8 year lasts anywhere near that long on anything but a show car. These ridiculous claims turn me off more than anything. The product hasn’t been out long and the company isn’t much older than that. So there is no real world history to back it up or any guarantee the company will even be around in 5 years. I just so sick of marketing and overhyping things. The worst part for me is that it works on the masses. I always top up after each wash so a coating didn’t seem necessary. I’m finally looking to do a coating, but with bit more realistic expectations. I’m going to treat it more as a longer term sealant/base coat for my topper so at least there’s something under if it failed. I won’t be using DIY, but a competitor who’s been a bit more realistic about expectations and is cheaper. Ive almost completely weened myself off the expensive boutique brands. As everything has gotten better it’s just a matter of finding the products that work just as well and are a good value.

  • @CarsWithKeav
    @CarsWithKeav2 күн бұрын

    You have a few points I agree with and I always respect others opinions as long as it is constructive and is not just a few words of hate. I do agree on the timeframes, but I can't really factually state they can't last that long as it has not been 8 years. I think 8 is possible with like you said for a well kept garaged car that is in the south (Show Car). I never go by the years really other than to decide which to use I know the 8 year which might not last 8 is going to be the more durable and of course more expensive due to the use of the more expensive chemical known as Silicon Nitride which is the more flexible type and is what keeps the coating from fracturing and failing over time. The more durable the coating the concentration of Silicon Nitride is going to be there which of course raises the price.

  • @seashackf1
    @seashackf122 сағат бұрын

    @@CarsWithKeav I definitely understand that different chemicals can cost more, but I have a feeling there is a massive profit margin in coatings. Seems that way with the chemical segment of this industry. The amount they charge for research, blending the chemicals, packaging and selling in some cases is crazy. Some brands just seem aimed at higher price points as their business model. When I find a much cheaper product or brand that works as well or better than an expensive one, which we are seeing more and more of these days, it kind of proves the point. I can’t blame these companies for charging it if people are willing to pay though. That’s where it’s on us as consumers to be more discerning. Luckily we have things like YT and forums these days so we can share our real world experiences and help each other weed through the good and bad products. This video is a great example of your experience with a product and people in the comments sharing their experiences with it too and we’re all better off for it. Keep up the good work. These video reviews definitely help a lot of people focus their spending to suit their needs.👍

    Love the setup, water filtration is nice but would you ever use the waterdrop in this setup?

  • @CarsWithKeav
    @CarsWithKeav2 күн бұрын

    Problem with the Waterdrop is you need a wider cart or a different place to mount as it is wider than the footprint without the hose connections. It will still work just have to be careful when moving the cart around.

  • @JohannGambolputty22

    Can you use an Uberflex with an Active 2.0? Active site says the following: "To ensure proper operation, steel-braided hoses are strongly recommended when using this unit." Sometimes companies go a little overboard to make sure their product doesn't get blamed for external reasons and was wondering if that's the case.

  • @CarsWithKeav
    @CarsWithKeav3 күн бұрын

    I would not use one they will work, but there is a high probability that it will have surging. They recommend wire braided as it keeps the hose form expanding when there is lots of water flow. The Uberflex has nothing to keep its forms which is why it’s so flexible. That rubber expanding causes the pressure switch ti not properly stop. It’s always been suggested with 1.8gpm and greater machines to always use a braided hose preferably steel or Kevlar. You can watch the 14 minute mark in this video I show what the Uberflex does on a 2.0 vs the hose provided by Active which is wire braided. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fomt0MGmj8S_e8Y.htmlsi=pDN4UDXrwwio_wmR

    I knownothing about preasure qashera. I just bought a new car. I was looking for recommendations. I fpund it. But I now have NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT NOZZELS?? 30, 20, 40?? WTF??

  • @CarsWithKeav
    @CarsWithKeav3 күн бұрын

    So the size of the nozzle like a 2.5 or 3.0 is the size of the hole which determines the pressure and flow. The smaller the hole the more pressure, but less water flow and vice versa for the large hole. When it comes to these especially for car washing there is a sweet spot around 1000 PSI which gives you more water flow which makes rinsing easier and it’s not enough pressure to harm the painted surface. The nozzle degree which is 0,15,25,40 and usually come colored red, orange, green and white. These are the patterns the lower the degrees the narrower the pattern and that increases the impact as it a concentrated spray. Going to the bigger degrees such as 25 and 40 which is recommended for car washing the pattern is perfect for rinsing and not harming the surface.

    @CarsWithKeav hey Key has BigBoi reached back to you regarding the WashR availability in the US? I’m surprised at their lack of communication in the US. Their US site does not even show the WashR Pro pressure washer anymore which would lead me to believe that it won’t be offered here in the US. I have inquired about the WashR Pro through BigBoi and there has been no concrete info on the availability and timing for this product in the US. This kind of behavior does not bode well with the pressure washing community and will drive consumers to other competitive brands. If the active 2.3 was just a quieter unit and easier oil change maintenance then it would be the perfect unit. Maybe active will offer a commercial washer unit that will encompass these missing feature sets.

    Anther AWESOME video KEAV! Do you think those new Amazon framers would be okay with a wheel cleaner in them? This is all Becca’s fault.

    I think I they would be fine P&S brake buster is a good wheel cleaner. I would make sure to clean the head out after each wash if using harsh wheel cleaners. Becca reached out via DM and was like have you seen these they are on discount right now. I’m like they have been sitting in my table for months now that is for reminding me. 🤣

    This looks promising. You have 50 TDS and that yielded about 400Gal. Since I have 225 TDS likely I would yield around 100gal. Much better than CR spotless. I your opinion they have to options, one skinny and short. Are they both essentially the same with the same amount of beads?

  • @CarsWithKeav

    Yes, they are the same size. The tank style do tend to be slightly more efficient than the cartridge style ones.

    Hey Keav! Happy Belated Father's Day Brother. I use the IK foamer and installed a shrader valve - keep my Ryobi tire inflator connected and set at 50psi ... it throws ALOT of foam. BTw - what rectangular chemical containers are those?

  • @CarsWithKeav

    Thank You. I have a foam pro 2 plus with the shredder valve and have run a small inflator with a Velcro strap as well works great. There are some out there with 3d printer files to have brackets built to an inflator. IK is also coming out with a battery foamer later this year as well. Here is the video I did kzread.info/dash/bejne/p2p3y5WKo5jFZJs.htmlsi=_rudZ3CIHQbPip7h This is the container I use for bulk dilutions amzn.to/3XtVpuu
