Excellent video. Question: What does the stablilization do exactly?
@christianeggbauer7 күн бұрын
The stabilizer, or warp stabilizer, analyzes unwanted movements that cause the video image to shake and attempts to compensate for them. This works quite well with minor shakes, but less so with more severe ones, resulting in these jittery movements. This form of stabilization is not like the IBIS (In-Body Image Stabilization) in a Sony camera, which moves the sensor to compensate for movements; instead, it is digital. DaVinci calculates everything and tries to correct it. There are three versions that use different algorithms to achieve the best possible result. Hope this helps :)

Ulazi records with extremely low audio even with +10 Gain and max volume in settings. How were you able to fix this issue when playing back audio?
@christianeggbauer18 күн бұрын
Hi, frankly I faced this issue using it standalone; connected to the receiver I had no issues even with the standards setting you see in the video, in my newest lavalier mic video I also used it together with the AM18 transmitter and the gain level was higher 🤷♂️ Due to solving, I just put the level way up on DaVinci in post production and also check if it is set to two channels, because it is per standard only mono and coming out of one box 😅

You should do a test with both mics next to each other. The Ulanzi sound muffled and very bassy. Might be the fact that you are not talking straight into it (like you do in the rode) and it's close to your chest and picks up the bass. If it sounds as crappy as it does with favourable conditions (same position as you rode mic), then I wouldn't get this mic, it sounds bad. Also a test against a similar product from a different brand would be great (dji mic 2, rode...).
@christianeggbauer20 күн бұрын
Thanks for the hint; generally I would use it that way in real life as well. The comparison would be great but I can not buy every mic out there 😄 even though it would be great; maybe another test is incoming with another mic in comparison but I am still in preparation.

Ulazi records with extremely low audio even with +10 Gain and max volume in settings. How were you able to fix this issue when playing back audio?
Hi, frankly I faced this issue using it standalone; connected to the receiver I had no issues even with the standards setting you see in the video, in my newest lavalier mic video I also used it together with the AM18 transmitter and the gain level was higher 🤷♂️ Due to solving, I just put the level way up on DaVinci in post production and also check if it is set to two channels, because it is per standard only mono and coming out of one box 😅
@@christianeggbauer It's driving me crazy lol. On my phone the audio levels are on point but if I use the reviver to let's say my laptop or use the built on recording then it is extremely low. With the dead cat though audio quality is scary good for the price point lol. Without the deadcat I get such bad background noise in low noise environments. Thank you!
@@FuMMoD yes you are right the quality is quite okay for this price point; dead cat is a must to avoid background and wind noise; never tried it on the notebook
You really changed my mind on this lens !! Not bad for 3.5-5.6 Dolphin shots - Fantastic!!!!! Inspired to use it now
Thank you so much, happy that you like the video 🫶
You should do a test with both mics next to each other. The Ulanzi sound muffled and very bassy. Might be the fact that you are not talking straight into it (like you do in the rode) and it's close to your chest and picks up the bass. If it sounds as crappy as it does with favourable conditions (same position as you rode mic), then I wouldn't get this mic, it sounds bad. Also a test against a similar product from a different brand would be great (dji mic 2, rode...).
Thanks for the hint; generally I would use it that way in real life as well. The comparison would be great but I can not buy every mic out there 😄 even though it would be great; maybe another test is incoming with another mic in comparison but I am still in preparation.
Glad your's vid is the simplest to understand da Vinci 👏👏👏.. Especially for me.. 👍👍👍🙏

Awesome to hear 👍 thank you for watching!
Please respond to me. When applying the lotus formula to the video, the video is colored with lotus colors, but when saving the video, it is without colors. Please help me,🥺🙏
I think you talk about the coloring that shows you where light and dark colors are peaking; this is just a help that your video is properly exposed; this will never be in the video output
@@christianeggbauer No, no, I mean the cinematic colors in the lotus format, i.e. ready-made color filters 🥺
Semoga saya bisa membelinya bulan ini
Thanks for watching and fingers crossed that you can buy it; I think it is a very versatile camera though and I still use it very often when I need a compact one with the best stabilizer 👍
Perfect for beginners this tutorial, feel more confident now. Thanks 😊
Awesome, happy that you can do more now 👍 and also thanks for your comment 🎉
Thank you sooooo much! This was very helpful :)

Awesome video Christian, thanks for doing this one. I also love and use Epidemic sound. This is very helpful seeing your workflow with sound design. Sound design is so important, it can take a so - so video and make it so much better.
Totally agree and this was only the basic design I did pretty fast 😅 normally when I see details I try to find more sounds for that 😉 but I had to do the basics because it is already longer than 30min 🤣 and yes epidemic sound is my sound library to go; the music and fx are very professional and I find always what I search ❤️ thanks for your comment and I am so happy that you liked the video 👍
Great video. Thank you!
Sure, thank you for watching and happy you enjoyed it 🤩
Can you put an nd filter on this lens?
Actually I have, watch my ND Filter video; I put an variable on it but watch out 16mm can cause vignetting if the filter is not compatible with the wide angle lens
Nice test, in chin shadow position a bit muffled. Is it possible to do stereo records directly to the phone?
Yes you are right; there is an adapter for your phone so I would say yes, but never tried it because I use it most of the time on my Sony Cam or standalone 🤷♂️
This was really useful!! Thank you!!
Sure I am so happy that it was helpful 🫶
Nice video from Teneriffa!! I would love to edit like that on my iPad Pro… I’m about to watch yr tutorial now.
Thank you so much 🫶 have fun 🤩
For better learning experience, I think it is good to have the resource files you worked with so that we can practice it😊
Yea actually you can do it with any files, but I think about it to provide you with them; thanks for the feedback 👍
