📹 Welcome to my channel! In this video, I take you through my journey from filming with a smartphone to upgrading to a full-frame camera, specifically the Sony A7IV. 💡 I'll also discuss the importance of considering your use case when selecting a camera. Do you really need a dedicated camera, or is your smartphone sufficient for capturing those precious moments?
🔍 After extensive research, I initially considered Canon and Sony options, including the Sony ZV-1, known for its compact size and impressive 4K quality. But as my skills evolved, I yearned for more control and better quality, leading me to explore full-frame options.
💭 Delving into the full-frame realm, I considered the Canon EOS R6 Mark II, but concerns about compatibility and functionality for videos pushed me back to Sony. The vast lens selection and third-party options drew me further into the Sony full-frame range.
🎥 Join me as I navigate through the Sony A7 series, A7R series, and A7S series, each offering unique features tailored to different needs in photography and videography.

Thank you, also a very good choice; spec wise it is a A7IV with more features in a smaller body 👍 awesome, some things are missing though like the dual card slot… Thanks for watching!

@@therealdeal4492 I can imagine; at that time I bought the A7IV the CII was not out, also not the ZV-E1 which would be a great alternative to the S series 😄👍

Great videos Christian. What settings do you use to record a video on the a7iv. I been trying to figure it out. If you can help me out.

Thank you so much. Honestly when I am recording Outside I go with aperture priority mode ‚A‘ when I have no ND filter with me and the lighting conditions change. I also use then auto white balance and auto ISO and most of the time I set the correction to +0.7 or +0.3 but I always have my Histogram on. I think I explain this in my ND Filter Video or Camera Basics. On the go also no picture profile. When it is getting darker then I switch to M manual mode and go with shutter 1/50 and 30fps, Auto ISO as well, but max 12800; see my ISO video 😄 when I use an ND filter and it is dark enough you can also use M and then you have nicer motion blur. I hope that helps 🫶
